Chrissy Teigen says kids 'can be a buzz kill'

The thing I love about Chrissy Teigen is that she says what we're all thinking. Parenting is great, but sometimes it also really sucks, and she has no problem pointing that out.

She nailed it once again this week on Instagram, when sharing a photo from her 32nd birthday party. The model and her husband singer John Legend hosted a bash where guests dressed up as retro PanAm flight captains and attendants.

Her post was intended as a thank you to everyone involved in throwing her the party, but Chrissy also managed to throw some shade her daughter Luna's way.

Addressing her husband, Chrissy said, "Everything is better with you and Lu. Well, not everything is better with Luโ€ฆhonestly kids can be kinda a buzzkill sometimes. But we won't tell her and I'll delete this before she can read."

The best bday party I've ever forced anyone to throw me.๐Ÿ™†๐Ÿป๐ŸŽ‰ Thanks to everyone who came ready w polyester prints, bubblegum cigarettes and 60s-acceptable sexual innuendos. I really love you guys. I feel like a very lucky 32yr old girl for so many reasons. Thanks @chefemklein for making one of theeeee best meals I've ever had (on both the ground and in the sky), the team at Lip Sync Battle for making my Bingo dreams come true, @panamexperience for truly having the most entertaining crew imaginable, and my husband for indulging me in every way possible. Everything is better with you and Lu. Well, not everything is better with Lu... honestly kids can kinda be a buzzkill sometimes. But we won't tell her and I'll delete this before she can read. ๐Ÿ’•โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿ‘จ๐Ÿผโ€โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘œ๐Ÿšฌ

The post has been liked over 700,000 times so there are a lot of parents out there nodding their heads.

Little kids are adorable, fun and hilarious, but they are also exhausting, annoying and messy. It's not a crime to share both sides of the parenting experience, and the more people like Chrissy do it, the easier it is for the rest of us to be honest with each other.
