Bindi Irwin has spoken out about breastfeeding her baby girl, Grace Warrior.
"It's a learning curve," the 22-year-old mum-of-one told PEOPLE magazine. "You want to make sure your baby is full, and you're learning as a new mum as well. It was the most exciting moment when she figured out how to latch properly."
"It's really, really amazing to be able to have that closeness. This little bond that you have with them that is just extraordinary."
Irwin and her husband, Chandler Powell, welcomed their daughter on March 25, 2021 — the couple's first wedding anniversary.
In the interview, Irwin also revealed how important it is to be supportive of all mums - and clearly has no time for mum shaming.
"As you become a mum you enter this club and it's unlike anything else in the world and everybody has different advice and thoughts," she said.
"I think that as anything else, it's just about supporting each other and being encouraging with one another because everybody has a different journey when it comes to raising their baby, especially with feeding."
Above all else, Irwin said it's nice to have 'so many options' when it comes to feeding a baby.
"I think that in this day and age, it's so important as a mother to encourage other mums,' she said. "Everybody has a different journey when it comes to feeding their baby and it's so important to be supportive of everybody.
Now three-months-old, Irwin also gushed about her love for her daughter.
"Everything that Grace does is amazing. She'll giggle, and we all drop what we're doing to watch," she said.
Previously, the new mum admitted it has been bittersweet at times after the loss of her father Steve Irwin 15 years ago.
"It's hard knowing that she'll never get to actually meet him [Steve], and it's devastating because I'll never get to watch that connection," the 22-year-old said in a clip of of the upcoming special Crikey! It's a Baby' airing on Animal Planet,
