Actress Jessica Alba gives birth to third child

Actress Jessica Alba has given birth to her third child – a boy.

And in keeping with the tradition of her other children, the newborn has been given a name starting with the letter 'H'.

The highly successful businesswoman, announced the new arrival on her Instagram account.

"Hayes Alba Warren 12/31/17 Best gift to ring in the New Year!!" wrote Alba, who is married to her long time love, Cash Warren.

"Cash and I feel so blessed.

"Haven and Honor are already obsessed with their new baby bro. #familyoffive."

Warren also posted an image of himself gazing at his newborn son, with the caption: "Hayes Alba Warren: You sure know how to ring in the new year! You showed up a few days early but we couldn't be any happier. Your Mamma is the strongest woman I know… you're so lucky to have her by your side. You have two amazing sisters who already adore you and I know you'll be thankful to have them guide the way. On your first day of life, I promise to love you, to cherish you, and to provide you with a sandbox full of dreams to explore."


Alba and Warren will celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary in May this year. They already have two girls – Honor Marie (9) and Haven Garner (6). Alba co-founded The Honest Company in 2012 and the business is now valued in excess of $1.7 billion.

Also brimming with baby joy is Ugly Betty star America Ferrara. She also took to Instagram to make a special announcement.

She shared an image of herself and her husband Ryan Piers Williams wearing matching 2018 novelty glasses. In the photo she is holding a baby's jumpsuit with the words 'más besos (por favor)' – meaning 'more kisses please'.

"We're welcoming one more face to kiss in 2018! Wishing you #MásBesos in the New Year! #babybesos #HappyNewYear", she wrote.

It's the first child for the pair. They've have been married for six years.
