If you are looking for a family escape away from the hustle and bustle of the Gold Coast that offers a little bit of luxury, then look no further than the Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove in Queensland.

Disneyland is known to be “the happiest place on earth”. But, after our recent stay at the Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove, I have to say that it seems Australia has its own contender.

We loved:

The outstanding service

The lagoon pool

Being close to the theme parks

Wandering through the Marina shops

Family focus with a touch of luxury

Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove is a luxury resort on the Gold Coast and is inspired by the grandeur of a beautiful Queenslander offering an elegant and stylish timeless design. Set in beautiful surrounds, the pristine white sands of the resort’s one acre salt-water beach lagoon pool are the ideal backdrop to a resort filled with relaxation and sophistication.

There are 243 rooms and suites to choose from along with many activities including golf, tennis, gym, 3 restaurants and bars, day spa and Camp Hyatt for Kids!

What stood out for us were the friendly staff and the exceptional service where you are treated like family. They take time out to know your name and find out where you are going and how they can make it better or easier for you.

The Hyatt Regency is the closest resort to all the theme parks such as Wet’n’Wild, Dream World, Sea World & Movie World and they can organise your tickets for you – saves you lining up.

Camp Hyatt for kids:

Why should adults have all the fun? Camp Hyatt, run by a team of qualified childcare professionals, provides activities for kids aged 4-12 years. Activities include arts & crafts, movies and video games, duck feeding, adventure walks, board games, storytelling, sports and games along with a room full of imaginative and creative toys and games for all ages.

The resort can also arrange babysitting services. They use only the best as we met one of the babysitters who instantly made us feel at ease and of course our son adored her.

During our stay we were lucky to have The Mummy Tree Markets down the road offering gorgeous gifts and home-made designer treats for mums and bubs & kids.

If you didn’t want to dine in any of the restaurants on offer in the resort, you have the convenience of the Marine Shopping Village at your doorstep. With cafes and restaurants and boutique shops, you will love to wandering around and doing a spot of shopping. We were lucky enough to have Jo from the concierge give us a tour on the golf buggy – a great way to see what was on offer.

We split up our time visiting theme parks and really relaxing at the resort by the lagoon pool – a perfect mix of active and relaxing holiday done in complete stunning surrounds.

Our only gripe was it was too short, but we will definitely be re-booking our holiday and taking friends and family with us. We highly recommend staying here for a family holiday that is extra special.
