Octomum moving to Oz
Big brood ... Nayda Suleman with her children at an event in 2010.
Nadya Suleman – aka ‘Octomum’ – is looking at moving to Australia, her dad has told Woman’s Day.
Suleman first created controversy when she gave birth to eight babies conceived through IVF in 2009. At the time, she was already a mum of six and a single mum.
Australians are very laid back … they’re very friendly and I think our family would fit in nicely there
Since the birth of the octuplets Suleman has reportedly been under great financial strain. Despite once stating she’d never ask for government assistance, she recently revealed she’s given $2000 in welfare a month.

The mum of 14 has also appeared in a naked photoshoot for Closer magazine, which she says she was paid $8000 for, and a porn video entitled Octomom: Home Alone.
Now, her father has told Woman’s Day that she’s ready for a move to Australia.
“People in America hate my daughter and that breaks my heart, so I think the only solution is for us to all move away,” said 69-year-old Ed Suleman.
“And I can’t think of a better place for us to go than Australia, as living in California has become toxic for Nadya. She’s constantly being attacked by paparazzi and judged by her peers for going on government funding.
“Australians are very laid back … they’re very friendly and I think our family would fit in nicely there.”
The Sulemans already have family in Australia, as Nadya’s uncle reportedly lives in Sydney.
“He said whenever we’re ready to move he will help us get settled in,” reveals Ed.
UPDATE: Suleman has said she has no plans to move to Australia. We are waiting for a comment from Woman's Day.
