Kevin Rudd is to become a grandfather for the first time, with daughter Jessica, an author, expecting a baby.
The Foreign Affairs Minister, 54, tweeted that he and his wife, Therese, were ''absolutely stoked about the announcement of a little Ruddlet''.
Minutes before, Ms Rudd tweeted: ''Albert [Tse] and I are thrilled to announce we're expecting a baby in late May.''

The couple live in Beijing but Mr Rudd said the baby would be born in Brisbane.
''Never a dull moment,'' Mr Rudd wrote on Twitter.
''[My son] Marcus finished high school this week. Same week that Jess and Albert share their great news.''
