First time mum: Adele gives birth to baby boy.

British singer Adele has reportedly given birth to a baby boy.

The 24-year-old welcomed her first child with partner Simon Konecki last week, according to UK newspaper The Mirror.

The new parents are said to be thrilled.

"Adele and Simon are ecstatic at their new arrival," a source has told the publication.

A representative for the star declined to comment on the report.

Charity CEO Konecki, 38, hinted in August that the couple's baby was due to arrive "soon".

"The baby is coming so soon. I'm very excited. Adele is doing well and we can't wait," he told the UK's Mail.

Adele took fans by surprise when she announced her pregnancy on June 30.

"I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together. I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon. Yours always, Adele," she wrote on her website.

Adele began dating Konecki late last year. In May she denied reports Konecki had proposed to her on her 24th birthday.

It's a big week for the singer, whose title track to the latest James Bond film, Skyfall, debuted in the top 10 in the UK, Us and Australian Singles charts.
