I'm 25 weeks and I officially can't reach my toes. I can't even stand with a leg on a stool or sit on the ground and somehow get to them. I tried to cut my toe nails and it was like an elephant trying to bend. Shaving is more of a bend and swoop affair. I might get a few areas of the leg, but certainly can't reach most. It's a funny look.

I find having a shower akin to a marathon and I finish up puffing and panting about as much.

Everything is so difficult already. I waddle, big time. I more rock from left to right to get around, at a very slow rate, with audible panting and distress.

Getting dressed is something I've got to work myself up to. Putting on socks, stockings or pulling on a skirt - like gynmastics and requires a good rest afterwards.

I've got 13 weeks before eviction and it's going to get interesting. I'm imagining a wheelchair or one of those computer chairs with wheels so I can whiz around the house and not walk. Ha ha.

How are you doing? How difficult has life become for you thus far? I am just so eternally grateful that I'll never be pregnant again. I adore my babies but wow, pregnancy is a b**ch to me.
Giltine
I'm almost 35 weeks and haven't been able to successfully touch my toes for about a month now. Getting dressed is painful and I've spent many days in just a dressing gown to avoid it.
I waddle, badly. I have severe left hip pain that spreads to the groin area, so I can barely move my left leg, and as such I walk with a limp. DF and my dad find it highly amusing. Me... not so much.
Because of the hip pain, I can't stand up, lay down, or sit for longer than 15 minutes at a time, so I'm constantly getting up and down, groaning and complaining about it every single time. Tounge1.gif
I gave up shaving. I asked DF to do it for me but he's too paranoid about cutting me or something, so I'm kind of glad I can't see close enough to see how bad it needs doing. Tounge1.gif

All my gained weight is baby, so people find it highly amusing that I can't move well. I just look like I put a basketball under my clothing, and from the back I don't look pregnant at all.

Bring on this baby, and my body back!
~BoysRus~
Must be lucky 38 weeks here and still can tie my laces...shave legs etc...lol
hiccamups
OOOh, bosyrus, you are lucky. I hear about women like you. original.gif

Giltine, you poor thing, I totally relate. I've gained a great deal of weight, from a clothing size 10 to now in a size 16. So there is that but I have the same issues as you with a massive baby out front and pelvic/pubic/hip problems.

I find it amazing that gestating like this can truly affect so many functions of the body for some of us, but then like you boysrus, it doesn't. My SIL is fit and active right to the end, walking much like she usually does. Me, I am struggling to walk at 25 weeks.

It does help me to dismiss my fear of another c-section though. The thought of being this cripple forever is worth a horrible surgery or three.

31 weeks and putting on socks and pants is a challenge. Walking is very slow and DH is constantly walking ahead of me even though he is trying to walk slowly! Even just walking from one end of the house to the other is getting hard and sometimes not worth the effort!

Trying to get comfortable in bed doesn't really happen so I spend the night rolling from side to side and wake up with big bags under my eyes.

It's all worth it though right??? Right????? laughing2.gif

Ha ha, apparently!

It must be so difficult for people who are pregnant, or been pregnant, or never pregnant, who have never felt this way. I know I forget so quickly what this felt like.

Thankfully I love feeling my baby kick and boot me. Actually, this little boy is kicking up near my ribs already which is a bit of a worry. Imagine in 13 weeks time!

I cant cross my legs anymore, or sit in a movie theatre chair comfortably. Should have seen me last night at the movies, I ended up leaning towars my mum with my head on her shoulder. There is something about those chairs that kills my back and abdomen.

Yep this is me too!
34 weeks now, other things I'm struggling with are getting out of the car and I have a small suv which is high and should make it easier, getting up off the couch (I now roll off instead), putting on shoes is extremely tough.
I am really looking forward to meeting my little one and love feeling him move, but I also really hate being pregnant. Makes me feel bad to say that but I'm very over it now.

Don't feel bad about it. That only adds to the burden. Pregnancy is a means to an end. The end goes on for the rest of your life so this small amount of time is just to be endured in some cases.

You can love the outcome and not the means.

I'm 31 weeks with twins and have hit the wall this week, but its really mainly my mood everyone seems to agitate me at the moment! Shoes are hardwork though, I managed to have a bath last night and shave my legs as I figured it will be my last chance I was a little puffed after. I usually get up in the morning get my 5 yr old ready for school take her then clean the house as best I can my 3 yr old usually helps me, do the washing and cook dinner if I can (depends what I'm making) then I rest until 3pm when I pick my daughter up but I am getting slower and need more rest so I'll be organizing a cleaner to come next week it's starting to get way too hard now plus I've only got about 6 weeks to go!!

35 weeks here and Can't stop eating.......and not the healthy stuff either. Ds is pretty stokked he is getting out of eathing crusts since I want more bread but couldn't be bothered moving LOL

All the other mobility problems people have mentioned.

To the PP with hip pain. Have you been to a physio or the like? I am seeing one and it has really helped with the pelvic and hip pain. She has me doing exercises to help with stability after the birth too.

Since I don't have a care and ride my bike I am getting very limited about how far from home I can get. My feet are swelling if I walk too long so that is out too......just a few more weeks.

Good luck to you all

Haha I can relate to the leg shaving! I think I cut my toenails for the last time this week. I sat in a recliner and it took me a while. I have given up bending down to unload the dishwasher now due to discomfort and dizziness.

I'm 33 weeks and I can no longer do my socks or shoes. It's winter so I'm not worrying about shaving my legs (and I'm dutch so it is very light anyway Tounge1.gif)

my husband has to tie my shoes for me now lol but I don't like anyone touching my barefeet so I sit down and put my leg on my other leg to put socks on.

I am just starting to waddle a bit.
with my last pregnancy (i had a boy) and i wasnt that round, but this time around (having a girl) I have the basketball look going on lol
Etcetera
I'm surprising agile! It depends on where the baby is sitting but I can usually do shoelaces. I have trouble bending so I enlist the help of my boys - who can find mummys shoes first?

I don't shave but use an emjoy gently as it doesn't grow back for about a month. A did it a couple of weeks ago sitting n the floor. I do have to sometimes get DH to dry my legs after a shower though.
Miss Cookie
I'm 25 weeks nd just yesterday I started not being able to bend at the waist. I can sit on the floor but have to get onto my hands and knees to get up. So begins the fun!
MsJaeBoykin
I am 24 weeks on Tuesday and I find it so hard to walk long distances. I get so sore. I can still sit on the floor and cut my toe nails etc. But I get my DP to shave my legs.. He is so gentle.. lol.. and like PP I am getting a heap. I dont want too but as soon as I go driving I seem to smell food. lol. Interesting to see how the coming weeks will be like.

This is hilarious, isn't it. I'm sort of letting them air dry. I like it when you can't tell if your skirt is hanging low because you can't for the life of you check underneath your bump. I've had to find a reflection to check I'm not flashing my bump to the world. I feel around with my fingers but I've go so many layers apon layers I can't work out which goes where.

Miss Cookie, getting up is a funny little exercise isn't it. The roll and somehow grapple up. People keep trying to kindly offer me a seat, ledge or whatever but I really struggle to get back up sometimes that it's almost best to just stand. I'm usually unable to do it by evening so I make the most of it in the AM.

Bend. Move. Walk. Roll over. Change pooey nappies.

Apart from that, all good!

I've been lucky in my previous pregnancies to not suffer too much, this one is slowly but surely trashing my pelvis making all of the above painful.

Roll on september.

Run...as it turns out. Was rushing back to the house the other day to get something I had forgotten & started running without thinking...turns out it is incredibly painful.

Gardening - early on it gave me head spins, now too painful.

Doing any one thing for too long - standing, sitting etc.

I think the grocery shopping is going to be gone soon too. A full trolley together with DS is just getting too heavy to push around.

And I get soo frustrated having to rest when there is so much to do!

Carrying a toddler over my bump, avoid kicks from said toddler at nappy changes.

Yes, the carrying is hard. I feel a twinge of muscles and get all worried I've broken something. Thankfully I don't carry DD very often.

I'm glad you said this because I have been feeling so over it and then feeling guilty for feeling that way! With my other two pregnancies I loved pretty much all of it but this one has been so much harder on me. But then there are women that go through so much worse, plus others that would love to be pregnant and can't, so I feel really awful for complaining! You are right though - it's ok not to love feeling like a beached whale all the time!

I get pains and worry too. I guess they are tougher than we think. Joshua was sik recently and would only sleep laying on top of me. Bub was feeling pretty squished.

It's funny, when Joshua is leaning on my bump, baby kicks, then Joshua shoves. I laugh and think sheesh, it's started already.
Mum2TwoDSs
I am 28 weeks and have given up on walking my dog completely since the first trimester. I just did not feel up to it.

Who talked about DH walking ahead? Even my mum walks ahead of me now! biggrin.gif

I have also given up on shaving and I am too scared to ask DH to do it for me in case he cuts me!

I need DH to help me put on my socks/stockings for me and DS1 sometimes straps my shoes for me. I find taking off runners a pain cos my groin hurts like mad when I used one foot to remove the other shoe.

Getting in and out of the car is a pain too. Thankfully it is an SUV and that certainly helps!

I have to sit on the ground like a ballet dancer (back really straight) in order to cut my toe nails. And I need someone/something to help me stand back up.

I have the usual pelvic/groin pains which makes rolling over in my bed a nightmare. And now on top of that, I have right rib pain, that's the most miserable of all atm cos I simple cannot sleep with the constant pain. Sleeping reclining (i use my massage chair and slept pretty well last night) helped with the pelvic and rib pains.

Wearing clothes isnt too bad but pants, yes, very clumsy.

DS1 loves rubbing my tummy but it hurts esp when he touches my belly button. I have found that it is due to very dry skin (just came back from a tropical holiday so skin is reacting) and I apply lots jojoba oil. That helps.

I detest walking completely and every time DH asked if I wana go to this shop or that to check out bb things, I would say no. sad.gif I rather shop online.

Oh I love this bubsy but I dont know how I am going to progress with 11 weeks left. There are so much to do and I just dont feel up to anything at all.

I think you can be eternally grateful without loving the experience. I know I am grateful for this but don't enjoy being pregnant at all. It helps to look forward to birth when you feel so crappy, which is a plus.

Oh, you poor thing. Don't be too hard on yourself. You're already doing a lot - you're making a baby. Perhaps just put the most important things to the top of the list and on the rare day you get some energy, do those things. Let the rest happen after baby arrives, or if DH has time.

hiccamups
Oh Mrs Puddles, I have cried many a tear over that myself. It's all happening now, the comfy stretch pants, the babydoll dresses, you name it.

BJBubbles
I'm just under 12 weeks and I can't run... my boobs hurt WAY too much!

I started a 10DD/E... and I'm currently in a 12E about to need a 12F. I'm terrified that I'll grow another cup size or more and won't be able to find any bra's!

I envy those women that don't get maternity bra's until the end... I've been in mine for 3 weeks now, but should have been for at least 5 - I was just in denial!
