What family vehicle do you own, for a 3 or 4 children family. We are upgrading our sedan to a van for our family of 3 children, as we found the sedan just didnt have the space for 3 children across the back seat.

We have a 2010 Holden Commodore station wagon, which fits all 3 kids nicely 1 in a convertable baby seat and one in a booster seat. We also have a 2012 Toyota Hilux (dual cab) which fits the 3 kids in the back well.

3 kids - booster on one side, harnessed car seat on the other and an older kid in the middle with no seat works well in DH's Falcon XR6, but not so well in my Subaru Impreza... getting rid of the Impreza soon - not sure what we will be replacing it with though. DH is leaning towards another XR6 or a Hilux, I'm thinking more along the lines of a Territory, but am not sure how big they are across the back.

I have a holden captiva - 2 boster seats and two children in no car seats - two boaster seats in the middle row and one children in the midlle and one int he back - has a split back seat. I also can fit three boster seats or two boaster seats and a carseat in the middle when I have extra children.

Mitsubishi Grandis - 4 kids 14, 8, 3 and 9 months
The 14 year old generally sits in the front if it's me and the kids or in the rear seats if it's a whole family outing. Rear are split, so can fit the pram and extra bags etc in too. Even with both rear seats up, I find the boot space quite good.
Middle row has Rear facing seat and forward facing seat with 8 year old in the middle.

We have a ford territory, we have two FF carseats in the middle row. We have on occasion easily fitted a 3rd ff seat when we have had visiting children.

I have a Tarago for 3 kids, but often have extra people to cart around. Yesterday I drove 6 kids and myself to a pool and could fit a 6 person picnic basket, all the bathers, towels, bags, etc etc in the boot.

I sooo love that car cool.gif
