Hi everyone,

After taking clomid last week, an U/S on Wednesday confirmed I had two follicles over 20mm. My FS gave me a trigger shot that same day.

As of tomorrow it would have been one week since my trigger shot. I didn't really experience any major side effects at all, only a little tender where the injection went in.

However, now thats its almost 7 days later, I find myself needing to urinate a lot more often. I feel like my bladder is always full and when I urinate, I immediately feel the need to go again. It began last night and it's eased a little during today but its still uncomfortable.

Has anyone had this side effect from the trigger shot?

No, I just get all emotional four hours after the trigger.

After trigger (normal IVF) I got quite bloated and then was peeing more often than normal, I assume because of my ovaries taking up space my bladder usually would. I wouldn't worry too much at this stage. Good luck!!

In four stims I've never had trigger side effects.

Did you have an IUI this cycle? If you did then there is a slightly higher chance of an UTI. Otherwise I would be blaming hormones! Progesterone does weird things to the body.

Nope just clomid and trigger though I do hear your chances of infection increase as you BD more frequently.
I might go doctors if it doesn't get better in the next few days - just to make sure it isn't a bladder infection. For now I'll just drink lots of cranberry juice hehe.
Thanks for the replies guys!
