Hi I am a mummy of 2 boys. Both old hebrew names, unplanned but cute how it has turned out. After losing our last baby we would like to pick names now. We ae currently in the 3rd month of TTC after our loss and looking at names is keeping my mid focused and positive.


Okay so here is the go, our babies name can not strat with S, N, E or H. and we also Prefer no B or M names because of the frequency of these first titles in our family. Our surname starts with P.

We have Lauren in our family thus I though the different spelling.

Jason and Jacen are crossed off, so is Idell and Odell.

Iris Zoe Mae P_ - this is lovely, definitely the best of the list as is.

Jalyn Zoe Mae P_ - Jalyn, however you spell it, would have to be one of my least favourite names on earth.

Loryn Zoe Mae P_ - spell it Lauren and it's fantastic. I don't think changing the spelling really differentiates it from the other Lauren you know, it's still Lauren just misspelt.

Odell Zoe Mae P_ - not a fan of this, how about Odette?

I was wondering if anyone else has named their daughter Iris.


I am just going to blog what I am a think at the moment.

My BFF's daughter is Ivy, is that too matchy, like if there is Ivy and Iris in a photo etc.

They are having a baby soon and he is going to be William, Already very matchy with William and Henry lol. (prince harry's real name is Henry, not the reason for my Henry tough lol, made even worse by him being born the day of the royal wedding). He was named at our 20w scan though so not planned at all.

Talon, apparently having done some research kids get picked on becasue of the meaning, a Talon is a claw. So I think I am crossing that one off.

Rylan keeps coming up in my mind but I have crossed it off now becasuse I just realised it starts with RY and Henry ends in RY.

If Loryn were adjusted to Laurel that might work? And I know its terribly old fashioned but I prefer Opal or Delia or Dinah to Odell.

Hubby doesn't like Iris but I get the final say on girls names thats our deal. He gets to name the boys. Well he name Ezra and Henry was a colabrative effort.

I think I am in love with "Iris Zoe Mae" now.

Had a dream last night we had a boy, so they will just be the "P_ boys" anyways, thats all they refer to my boys now anyways.

Oh also not we love German and English names too, it doesn't have to be Hebrew. Henry is English/German orignally but was in a Hebrew naming website so they must use it too.

SO STUCK !!!!!! I can not decide. I feel so lost. I love Liam but one of the girls at playgroup just announce she is having a Liam and they will go to school togetehr so not a good idea to have the same name.
I am convinced we will have another boys. Or its my coping tool to avoid being disappointed when we do fall pregnant and if its a girl I will work that out then (DH really wants a girl)

I like Jacob. It's pretty popular itself, though, if that's why you've gone off Liam. I wouldn't run myself ragged avoiding every name they might go to school with?

Jacob does go nicely with Ezra and Henry though, and sounds a leetle bit more classic than Liam (Whereas William would be pretty equivalent).

La Di Dah - Our school is approx 40 kids including playgroup and kindy up to year 7. Tiny tiny school, but an excellent school and the teachers are AWESOME!! We have lawyers and doctor and more as gratulates which is fantastic. Also cute that our sons are third generation, there dad and grandpa went there too.

DH has agreed on Jacob and Tyler. As he is still convinced twins are going to pop up lol. They are all though his family lol, nut only one set in mine. Just middles names with Z in them and we are done for boys names.

I love william but couldn't possiably with Henry as my son, as prince Harry's name is Henry. Makign it worse my Henry deciedd the day of teh royal wedding was a perfect day to arrive. We also have a little bubba William at playgroup that will be in the grade above our YTCB.
