I'm wondering if the "girls and their handbags" myth is true.

So how often do you change handbags? Do you change it to match your outfit? What stuff do you throw into your handbags every time you change, is it the same stuff?

I'm not a handbag person at all. I normally use it until it falls apart or gets dirty (I have a weakness for white/cream leather bags) and then change to a new one. By then it's full of junk and crap as well...old receipts, random tissues etc etc which I'm too lazy to throw out. Yes, I'm a slob

I change it when it starts to look scungy or falls apart. I usually have darker, practical handbags, so it ends up being about once a year.

I use the same one 95% of the time and is neutral so goes with almost anything. Im not one of those handbag girls, and am more interested in other things. But I have a friend who has SOOoooo many handbags and carefully matches them to her outfits everytime

About once every five years Seriously.

Actually, to be fair, I have a little canvas camera bag I use as a purse when we're hiking as it's just big enough to hold my phone, keys, ID and bank card. Other than that? I'm not into the whole handbag thing.

My mom, on the other hand, has several bags for each season.

I love handbags, but my laziness to actually transfer the load of junk I lug around everywhere usually wins out, so I almost never change it, despite owning at least 10 or more.

I have a very nice, expensive one that is classic in design and colour. I've had it for 4 years and I expect it to last me about another 15 years or so.

About every 6 months? I just bought this recently.

I have a few. I change them around every couple of months and I love to shop for bags, my DH steers me quite forcefully past a bag shop!

I get mine in the men's section and usually get an across the body black or khaki canvas or plain leather one.A rectangle big enough to hold books but not to big to wear on my bike.
I change it when it tears or breaks.
I hate fancy bags.

I have a few but I am a little too lazy to change for each outfit... I will shange it if it seriously clashes.

I have had mine for 2 years now. I got it when I was pregnant with DS2 and I still love it. It's starting to fall apart and I will have to invest in a new one, can't find any that really grab me. I did just recently buy a backpack, and I love that too. Its not something I can use every day but I do use it on the weekends when I go out with my boys and need to lug a few things along.

I have one main one for uni, and then I have about five others that I rotate depending on outfits.

I have 2 I swap between every week or so and I change to a clutch if I'm heading out. My handbag is filled with so much crap when I swap I only swap my purse, keys and diary over both bags have nurofen, the pill, lipgloss, receipts, random papers and lots of other bits and pieces in the bottom

i like bags, hobo bags mostly.
i change it with the outfit most times, summer-winter, or sport- casual.

When it begins to fall apart and/or look shabby!
Never been 'into' them but can't justify money on handbags now, not the ones that I would like to own anyway!

When it falls apart.

I do have a nicer one (and smaller) that I use to go out, and now also use for work. But need to revisit this, I take briefcase to work, but need a handbag as well as I need to be able to carry wallet, food, etc etc around the office while on crutches.

I was just getting used to a handbag again. Now we're back to nappy bags!
I'm a handbag fanatic, I honestly own about 50 when I do use them they are changed quite often, around once a month.

I only recently invested in a new one because I had a crappy one that I got for free and it fell apart and I was sick of using a woolies bag!!!! It's a Olga berg like my wallet which has lasted over 4 yrs so I figured stick with what u know!!!

I have a couple of bags, but tend to use one more than the others. I would love to have an Oroton hobo type bag, but the price scares me. But when I think about it, the money I would spend say over 5 years on handbags, would pay for it.

Maybe next birthday.

Whenever I get a new boyfriend. I like to change my arm candy at the same time.

I haven't carried a handbag in about 12 years. I really don't miss it.

I usually have 3 or 4 on rotation at any one time. They all have all the essentials in them so I only move over my purse phone and keys. They each get replaced as needed. I do tend to buy quite to few clutches and going out bags though rather than everyday handbags.

I pretty much stick to the one handbag. When it starts to look ratty, I go out and buy one almost the same. Its black, usually leather or a mix and its a back pack type one. Not a big one, just a medium size. Doesn't drag down on one shoulder, hands free to carry more shopping etc.

I change them whenever I find a new one that takes my fancy.

It used to be about every 12 months, but this year I am onto number 3 already.
