Welcome to the Newbies - i hope you dont stick around for too long original.gif

I was talking to a girl at work last night who is TTC - her story really puts things into perspective for me....
I wont write her story down as there is a few TTC #1 in here lol
but seriously the things other people go through.....
White lilly - I am so sorry to hear about you DD its horrible when they are sick at the best of times, now that you have said you want AF to come you will probably get a BFP lol

I am pathetic and just want to pee on a stick - its too early - AF is due the 11th August omg I hate the 2WW

I hope everyone that is about to test get their BFP and those in the 2WW have a speedy fortnight (I hate waiting)

Aimee - I thought I had OPK work but then they all turned the same colour so have not tried them again FX for you!

Bleargh! AF has arrived. Onto the vino, soft cheese and carbs wink.gif

In all seriousness, I'm going to use the opportunity to start an exercise regime to help my weight loss along, I keep thinking that just a few kilos less may be the difference.

Also, DH had a work trivia night last night so a couple of interesting things have happened:

a/ I dropped him off AND picked him up ie. driving all by myself when DH was somehow convinced that I'd be 'terrified' of the traffic
b/ he has started telling his work colleagues that we are TTC'ing biggrin.gif which is really nice because originally he was all hush-hush about it

Poor hungover man, must make him some greasy breakfast laughing2.gif

Sorry AF has arrived but glad you are living it up with the yummy food and drinkies!

Sorry I have been away for a bit, I had the flu (real yucky crappy flu) and it laid me out completely, very hard to maintain kids and house while sick and DH's business partner had an op so he couldn't take time off.

Have had a weird week. My cycle has never been shorter than 28 days. Ever. It usually goes 28-30ish days but every now and then it is a week late and gets my hopes up. Anyway on CD21 I had 2 very, very small amounts of spotting, only there when you wipe. I am now CD24 and have had nothing since. So my hopes are ridiculously high that it was implantation bleeding even though I have never had that before. Going to be so disappointed if it's a BFN again!
Iggy
One week to wait - AF due on Monday the 8th and I feel crampy on and off - feels like AF is on her way - I hate waiting - so impatient!!
I hope everyone had a great weekend and for those that were testing FX you all got BFP's tthumbs.gif
Aimee_87
Hi all,

Hope everyone had a lovely weekend.

Poo to AF Mags! Hope you enjoyed the wine and cheese over the weekend at least. Good uck with the exercise regime. I have until mid September left on my gym membership so I'm *trying* to make the most of it as I wont be renewing. Thats so nice that your DH is telling people now wub.gif I wish I could talk about it openly IRL.

Mahnamahna sorry to hear you've been sick. FX that the spotting was implantation. How long until you test?

White-Lily how is your DD? pneumonia is so horrible. I hope she's getting better.

Nothing new with me. Just waiting wwhistle.gif until I can justify POA. Ideally I will wait until next Monday but seriously... I don't think I will hold out that long.
N00b
Hi girls,

Damn all these AFs, huh?! Hope that you're feeling better MahnaMahna, that the wine and cheese are working for you MagsJee and that your crampiness is not AF, hbbear. Aimee_87, make sure you let us know asap, and FWIW I totally can't wait either... in fact just got a girlfriend in the US to send 50 tests, works out to be about 20c each!

Only news on this front is I called the OB today (she's on holiday, of course!), to find out my results (re ovulation). The secretary's like "Hmmm... well, it says here that it's low and to maybe retest". *sigh* I have no idea what that means, if anything, but I guess I'll have to wait a couple of weeks until a) OB calls me, or b) I get a BFP. Not all that optimistic, but there's always bourbon at the end of the tunnel, right? wink.gif

Otherwise, enjoying the unseasonably sunny weather!

N.

PS. Found out that DH has organized a week long boys ski trip when I'm O'ing next month. Awesome... ddoh.gif

I POAS on CD25 stupidly. It was neg of course. I am trying to hold out til the end of this week but I have 3 tests staring at me everytime I go to the cupboard, so I hid them.

Have you given in to testing yet Tounge1.gif

Blergh! Tell him to cancel wink.gif

How screwed up are our bodies that we only have a max 24 hour window in any given month to conceive!!
Aimee_87
N00b how frustrating, waiting for your test results. At least you wont feel guilty about testing when the time comes. 20c each! That's incredible!

MahnaMahna haha haven't tested yet. I don't have any tests at home at the moment, the temptation is too great and I am only about 8 or 9 DPO so would definitely be a BFN if I tested now.

So I have had a TINY bit of spotting this morning. Really not sure what it means... I'm not getting my hopes up about implantation. I just really feel like I am getting AF early. If this spotting doesn't turn into AF by the weekend, I will probably test early, Sunday, or maybe Saturday...
White-Lily
Hi Ladies, just popping in quickly

Sorry to hear AF arrived Mags. Hope you are enjoying your wine

AFM DD is doing much better. GP was happy with her to just finish her a/biotics and then see how she goes. Not getting anywhere with an 'asthma plan' as he isn't convinced she is asthmatic rolleyes.gif One day we will have some answers, but not just yet apparently.

AF still hasn't arrived, was due yesterday. Might test tomorrow. Would really like DH to be there so he can read the result, tho i have a sneaking suspision of the answer.
I have a huge desire to go and eat soft serve before i test ph34r.gif
SarahBubble
Hi everyone,

Just wondering, how long had you been TTC before you started to try and work out ovulation etc? I know, odd question....

Basically I was on the pill from 14yo until we wanted to get pregnant the first time (30yo), so never really had regular cycles and stuff, got pregnant in the third month, but didn't really get a chance to work out what is a 'normal' cycle for my body. This time around we're doing the same thing at this stage, but my first period was at 34days so I'm finding it hard to keep track of dates and things to even work out roughly when I might ovulate. Other than the kits, any suggestions for me? I kinda feel like a teenager and I never really worked it out! original.gif

Thanks original.gif
tara99
Hi all, I've still been snooping just not having much time or energy to write. Good luck to those waiting to test soon!

AF has arrived here, which I'm excited about because as soon as it's over we'll begin officially TTC no.3!!! I think DH is looking forward to it more than I am wink.gif I'm so desperate to be pregnant again it's going to take a lot of willpower to not test until AF is next due!
White-Lily
ph34r.gif

Faintest of faint lines was there this morning... I know 'a line is a line' but I'm not totally convinced, I thought it should be darker by 16DPO

Will retest again tomorrow.

Didn't even bother to show DH ph34r.gif ph34r.gif

But no AF and my (.Y.) have been sore all week.
I'm not sure if i should be hopeful or not

SarahBubble welcome to the group. I never really bother to work out O, jsut went with the assume method tongue.gif but you can track your CM (cervical mucous) and your temperature which both when done properly can help a great deal in pin pointing O.
MagsJee
Ooooooh exciting White-Lilly biggrin.gif

Shall be ph34r.gif you tomorrow happy.gif
Lou87
waves.gif

Had to pop in for a quick hello! Have been flat out with work, like a lot of you, but at least that means my mind's been focused on that rather than TTC thoughts!

White Lily: Eeeek!! Do you have some news for us this morning?!?!?! FX for you!! (So happy to read that your DD is doing better too!)

Sarahbubble: I second white-lily's suggestion. Have a look around the Fertility Friend website. It will give you lots of info about how to pinpoint O even without bothering with OPKs just yet. I'm still torn as to whether the whole charting thing just makes you obsess over it all too much, especially when your body is trying to settle after being on the pill (My cycle's have gone from 34 days down to 27/28 since the start of the year, for example), but I hope this helps you a little! Best of luck to you original.gif

AFM: I've had so much going on with work deadlines that I haven't had time to stew over my silly worries about whether we're 'ready' to start TTC now. Or whether I'm ready really - DH is ready to roll! But, I'm 11dpo today, and still no spotting, which is much nicer than last month when I only got to 9dpo with spotting from 5dpo. Anyway, I'm quite happy teetering right in the middle of the 'ready/not ready' fence, and I'll just fall off on the 'ready' side once the time comes!

Hooray for Friday though! Hope you all have a lovely weekend original.gif
Aimee_87
oooh stalking for some news White-Lily.... update??

Lou87 this is the second month I have had spotting about 8/9 DPO since stopping pill in late March. I guess its a waiting game like everything else with TTC, just have to wait for AF to sort itself into a proper pattern after the pill. Did you do anything different this month? I think I'm going to grab some B6 to take this cycle to see if it helps stop the spotting/lengthens my LP.

FRIDAY!!!!
Lou87
Aimee_87 87 and 87! Does yours have any significance? I just picked the page number from a book on my desk huh.gif But it probably makes it look like I'm born in '87. (I'm '84)

I'm on the Blackmore's Conceive Well Gold (BWCG) since it has a good amount of B6 in it. I get spotting for about 4 or 5 days before AF starts properly. And 3 or 4 days afterwards. TOTAL pain. Was hoping the B6 would do something to help that but it hasn't! It has made my cycles drop from 34 to about 28 days though, which is nice. I used to like my longer cycles before TTC though! It made my luteal phase a couple of days longer too. I'm starting to think my last super-short weird cycle was just an odd one-off. Hoping so anyway! I've been on the BCWG now for about 4 months so maybe things are just settling properly now. The pale pink BCWG are pretty sick.gif though. I always have them with a big mouthful of tea. They didn't bother me for ages, but in the last week they've seemed extra bad to me for some reason and I choked and my tea out all over my keyboard this morning. Wonderful picture, huh?!

But you're right, it's all just waiting I think! 2WW, waiting to O, waiting for your cycle to sort itself out. Fun times!

Ohhh, White-Lily..... Where you be? hands.gif

Just had to pop in to say CONGRATULATIONS White-Lily!! So exciting to see those two little lines!! tthumbs.gif
Aimee_87
Yay!!! Congrats White-Lily!!!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Best wishes for the next 8 months and beyond!

Lou87 Yes, the number has meaning, born in 1987. Which according to the list, makes me the youngest in this thread at 23??

I find most multi vitamins make me feel ill. I have been taking folate everyday (which don't affect me at all) and then occasionally I'll take a normal multi but I just hate the aftertaste of them. I might give BCWG a try after AF arrives properly (which I'm about 95% sure will happen soon).

So who's testing next??
Iggy
Wow Congratulations White-Lily- I hope you have a very easy 8 months ahead of you!!

AFM I thought I was due on Tuesday after re-calculating but it could also be friday - I wish my cycles would settle down - I really want to POAS - lol

Once again congratulations White-lily and FX for those about to test
gingernut
Yep, like everyone else I am flat out at work but just wanted to pop in and say.....

YAAAAAAYYYYYYYY to White-Lily! That is absolutely fantastic news! Considering the full on couple of months you have had, that is the absolute best news! biggrin.gif

AFM, have been sick and not much chance to BD so who knows what will happen this month. Not holding out much hope.

Hope you girls have a fab weekend and good luck to all those testing in the next few days. original.gif
MahnaMahna
Sarahbubble - I tracked from the very start but that is because I don't ovulate most months so I wanted to try and work out at home if I was Oing or not (I was also being tested by my GP every month to see if I was Oing). I did the for #1, didn't for #2 and haven't done it this time at all.

I figure I am going to be going mad on BDing to TTC anyway that I won't add in the stress of temping/OPK's/charting.

It is worthwhile to do though, to get an idea of how your cycles go.

Awesome! Congratulations!! biggrin.gif

AFM: I am pretty sure I am out this month. AF is 3 days late but BFN on the HPT. Don't "feel" pg either sad.gif Had my hopes up this month.
SarahBubble
Congratulations White-Lily!! Brilliant original.gif I'm jealous (but in the good way!)

MahnaMahna - I see exactly why you had to track, but yep, I worry I'll become obsessed if I do too much tracking

Thanks everyone, I think the idea of keeping an eye on things but just assuming as we did previously is probably right for now.....if my guess is right then I was O'ing at the start of this week....hmmm.... I guess I just twiddle my thumbs and wait and see.... wink.gif

How long has everyone else been TTC?
MahnaMahna
Good luck for this month Sarahbubble, hope it happens!

tara99
Congrats Aimee and white-lily!!!

Mahna mahna - great to see you still positive after 19 months trying original.gif

AF has finished, so we are officially TTC - very excited! I know it's totally unrealistic, but I really want to fall pregnant this month as it will work perfectly for my job, and I don't want any bigger gap between this baby and the last ones. So crossing my fingers here that timing's right and we succeed soon!
White-Lily
Congrats Aimee!! Hope you have a trouble free 8 or so months ahead!! I think we will be in the same DIG original.gif When i bother to join it blush.gif Have you told your DH yet?

Mahna FX it is just too early or something. Hope its your turn soon

Tara FX for you! I know what you mean about timing, each month we waited all i saw was the gap getting bigger but it will happen when it is meant to original.gif

This was our second month Sarah

AFM Thanks for the congrats Ladies! Still sinking in, dont think it will until i start getting sick. So, I'm due 10th April which makes for an inconiently timed bub with my brothers wedding being the date of the gestation DD was born (does that make sense??) ph34r.gif opps

We will be in the new house for sure. It should go to lock up this week eexcite.gif so we should be in by November!!

What am I going to do without you all?
I miss you already and I haven't left yet

N00b
Wow! Congratulations Aimee!! So exciting to have two BFPs in such a short space of time original.gif

I'm about 6 DPO (I think, it could be more...), and have been feeling nauseous twice daily for the past three days, plus headaches... So please cross your fingers for me! Don't know how I'm expected to wait the two weeks to test in such circumstances aannoyed.gif

bubbles hope you're feeling better soon.

Sarah, month 3 for us.

tara99, very exciting, good luck!

White-Lily, great news about the house.

Anyhoo, FX for all of you this month, ladies!!

Anyway have a great monday

mishxxx
SarahBubble
Congratulations Aimee, that is so fantastic!

It makes my day to hear happy news from you guys - wonder who the next person will be..... wink.gif
Aimee_87
Hi all,

Thank you for your congrats! DP is coming back from a week long holiday tonight, so I can't wait to give him the good news!

I am still having a little bit of light spotting, which I am a bit concerned about. Dr Google seems to suggest the implantation bleeding should only last for 1-2 days, and I have had it on and off since Wednesday. I am feeling a bit sick.gif today but that could just be nerves...

I am going to get more tests after work and test in the morning to see if it is darker and I will go to the Dr tomorrow after work.

White-lily I'm not ready to move into the DIG yet. Will see how the rest of this weeks pans out. But hopefully see you there soon!

Mish Good to hear your cycles seem to be sorting themselves out.

Sarah
this was cycle 4 TTC for us.

OK will update later - probably after I have bought all of the chemist's HPT!
White-Lily
Aimee I tried to join the DIG today but just couldnt do it. Im not ready ohmy.gif
FX the spotting is implantation. Is it old blood? When was AF due? As long as it doesn't get heavy or red it should be fine. My BFF had spotting/light bleeding all the way through the first trimester with her last pregnancy and her DD is perfectly fine.

Mish glad to hear your body is finding some sort of groove and its getting back to a normal cycle. Hope you can shake the cold soon.
The due date is a bit funny, DD was due on the 10th of Feb and now this one is due 10 April. Must be a lucky number happy.gif
Iggy
Congratulations on all of the BFP's - Very jealous lol!!

Sarah - This is our 3rd month off the pill - 2nd month trying!

Lou87
So happy to see more good news in here! Congrats Aimee!! I do like how you said you'd just popped out to get bread and milk, soon people will be trying that as a BFP tactic wink.gif

And White-Lily - hooray for inconveniently timed babies wink.gif How's it feel that you were just joking about that and now it's happened! So happy to hear you'll definitely be in your new house by then too!

I love BFP news! ddance.gif ddance.gif ddance.gif

AFM: Waiting for AF to bugger off and then it's officially GO TIME! And between my work trip and his work trip there's a teeny tiny 2 days where we cross over and you never know....
MahnaMahna
Argh I hate it when you just want AF to start and it bloody won't!!

AF is now 6 days late but tests are BFN so I just need AF to arrive so I can start all over again.
*bubbles1980*
Well I must say im a tad excited today I actually bought myself a maybe baby!!!!!!! original.gif now lets hope after AF I can get some use out of it and pinpoint the best time to BD!!!!!! wink.gif

OK I also have to tell you girls that I have sold 2 of my prams yep i know Im heartbroken but on the other hand i got the best deal ever.... im really quiet happy I got a brand spanking new bertini X5 original.giforiginal.giforiginal.giforiginal.gif wasnt meant to buy it but I saw a girl on a site selling a X5 frame brand new in the box for $100 huge bargain she owned a baby store and sold the store and just wanted it gone they cost $549 usually, so because i rang bertini they said the line is being discontinued soooo raced into our other local baby shop and they had one black seat left which the guy said i could have for $150 they retail at around $350 AND he had a blueberry or orange bassinet and said I could choose one for $150 so its costing me $400 but i sold my 2 prams for $200 so out of pocket $200 OM*G BARGAIN the whole pram retails at over $1200 original.giforiginal.giforiginal.giforiginal.gif

So thats my news now just waiting for my tax to come back so i can pick up the seat and bassinet...... so come on baby this cycle is the one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE

mishxxx

Sorry about the ME post lol just had to share BABY DUST TO U ALL XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
gingernut
Just wanted to pop in and say yay Bubbles 1980! Feel free to talk to me anytime about prams as they are my second obsession...after TTC at the moment. biggrin.gif

That sounds like an amazing deal and it's great you got them while you had the opportunity. I am a great believer in being prepared and grabbing things when you see them as you never know if you will see exactly what you are looking for in the 40 weeks of your pregnancy! What colour bassinet will you choose? wink.gif

FX that the Maybe Baby makes it easier to pinpoint O for you this month. I am in my very first month of charting and I am actually enjoying it! Feels like something I can do to learn more about my body and try in be more active in my TTC journey.

AFM, I am in the 2WW and did a test yesterday at 9DPO and of course, BFN. Don't even know why I wasted a test but couldn't help myself! lol. Will maybe try again over the weekend, if AF hasn't arrived.

Hope all you girls are well and would love to hear your news.

Aimee and White-Lily, hope the first few days after your BFP's are full of excitement and happiness.

Lou87: FX your small window of opportunity between work trips is all you need! biggrin.gif

mahnamahna, hope AF arrives soon for you. Funny how we curse her arrival at times but at others, we really just want her to hurry up so we can try again!
*bubbles1980*
hehe yeah im kind of excited about using the maybe baby original.gif its a fun way of doing it i guess....

I had the choice of the blueberry or orange bassinet so i chose the blue as its my fav colour im not keen on the oranges and out there colours these days and im getting the blackberry seat...

As for me im on CD2 original.gif

better get moving and get ready for work lol have a great day everyone original.gif

mishxxx

White-Lily
Mish what a fantastic bargain!! I bet you are super excited about going to pick it up!!
Hope the maybe baby helps pinpoint O and you catch the egg this month

gingernut LOL at wasting a test, but i know how easy it is to do ph34r.gif been there, done that.

Mahna hope AF hurrys up so youcan get started on the next cycle, which WILL be THE cycle!!

AFM starting to feel queasy already which as far as I'm concerned is too early, well compared to my pg with DD it is!! Blergh

I will need someone to take over the list now that i need to move on. Anyone that is interested please PM me with an email address.
SarahBubble
Hehehe - I feel like a pram novice original.gif Whilst I'm jumping waaaay ahead of myself, if you have a rather active "I must walk all day" type of toddler, would you think of getting a double pram or get a toddler skateboard thing? My DD is only 14 months but she loves walking everywhere already and I can really only get her to sit in the pram if she's eating (she has to realllly want the food though). But do all bubs go through this and then settle back in to liking the pram or do some just like walking lots?

I wonder if I will AF this week or not....hmmm..... original.gif I hope not! I'm not sure when to really expect it though.

White Lily - hope you're not too queasy!!!!!
White-Lily
Sarah DD went through the 'I must walk everywhere' stage. She got over it and will now happily sit in the pram for a bit, maybe up to an hour? Sometimes it depends where we are walking though. She will sit longer if we are walking outside and shorter if we are walking around the shops for example. Food extends the shopping trips though.
tara99
Mahna mahna - I know that feeling - I was getting so impatient for AF to arrive at the end of last month, and of course it was late.

Mish - nice work with the pram! Bargains are always satisfying. Is maybe baby an ovulation test kit or something?

Lou - AF finished yet? What a pain about your and DHs work schedules! My DH is always home, but it's sleepless toddlers that cause us our problems cool.gif

AFM - I'm on CD11 and I don't think I've ovulated yet (I usually get pain etc), but just BDing every 1-2 days, hoping this will be our month. I might try OPKs or something if I'm not pregnant in a couple of months.
MahnaMahna
Good luck this month Tara and Sarah

bubbles - Blue is my fave colour to so we had a blue bassinette for DD original.gif Everyone thought we were having a boy because I had painted the room blue too but we didn't know what we were having. I think it is good to be prepared too!

Still no AF here. It's so frustrating!

*bubbles1980*
Good morning girls original.gif

The sun is shining my galah is swearing and the dogs are sleeping.... oh yes we got another puppy a lil blue heeler on wednesday hes a cutie too...
CD3 here original.gif

Tara- The maybe baby looks like a lipstick... but its a lil microscope and you wipe some saliva on the lil window part and wait 10mins and u can tell from the picture if you will be ovulating soon best money spent for me besides the pram lmao

Sarah- all kids are different my DS walked everywhere but my DD loves prams she will sit in it and watch tv if we let her original.gif and she will be 3 in october... lol

No other news really housework today and bathing the pups... then i have to work all weekend original.gif Its my birthday next friday and i have to work grrrrrr but we are going out next saturday night for tea original.gif

Anyway enjoy the sunshine and have a great weekend happy BD'ing original.gif
