With only four weeks to go we need to run some more names past you all. I have been on before, but just want to run them again and I have added a few others.

Girls - middle name either Maree or Raine (family names)

Britta - we both love this name, but know one other person who we know everyone we know will associate it with.
Georgie
Mahli
Tess

Boys - middle names possibly Maxwell, Sidney, Dale or Jay

Archer - we both love this name, but another couple we know (not in our circle of friends or anything, but we come from a smallish town) have just named thier child Archie??? We would use Archie as a nickname.

Reuben - does anyone know any teenagers with this name? not sure if it would sit well at that age? What do you think would be a likely nickname?

Miller

Nate - but don't like Nathan or Nathaniel

Any other suggestions welcomed. We just don't want anything too popular.

I like Nate for a boy. original.gif

I'm not too keen on your name choices for a girl (maybe Rainer?). Sorry sad.gif

ohboy
Britta - no
Georgie - nms
Mahli - Really like
Tess - Really like

Mahli Raine sounds quite nice but not keen on either of the middle names with Tess

Archer - Really like but very popular
Reuben - nms
Miller - nms
Nate - Love and had it on all of the lists for the boys but DH hated it. I'm glad now we didn't call one of our DS's this but as not only is it popular around here (I know 7) but they are all little sh*ts wink.gif

Archer Maxwell or Nate Maxwell are my favourite combos
*lilmiss*
I like Mahli, but also like Mahlia (rhymes with Tahlia).

Mahli Raine
Mahlia Raine

Of your boys names I like Archer

fifi-trixibelle
Girls - middle name either Maree or Raine (family names)

Britta- I love this and it would be lovely to see someone use it
Georgie- while lovely, I can't see it as anything but a nickname. I love Georgia, Georgette or Georgiana with Georgie as a nickname only though
Mahli- I don't mind it as long as it's spelt Mali
Tess- gorgeous but I do prefer Tessa and then Tess as a nickname

Archer- lovely and it's common enough now that having another Archie/Archer in the same town doesn't matter
Reuben- don't mind. I don't see anything wrong with it for a teenager
Miller- don't mind
Nate- I only like it if it's a nickname to Nathaniel or Nathan

Britta Maree, Tess/Tessa Maree and Archer Sidney would be my picks.
Ladeeda
Tess would be my pick from your girls list, but i do prefer Tessa with nn Tess. I would use Maree as the mn with Tessa/Tess

I do like Georgie but I can only see it as a nn. If Georgia was on your list that would be my pick.

Archer would be my pick from your boys list with mn Maxwell

Britta - no, reminds me of Brita, the brand of water coolers...

Georgie - nms, but don't mind (would have a more formal name like Georgia, Georgina or Georgiana however, and shorten it to Georgie)

Mahli - yes, but only spelt Marley

Tess - nms, but quite nice (again, I would have a more formal name eg. Tessa, Teresa etc. and shorten it to Tess)

Archer - don't mind, but would want to nickname him Archie. How about Asher (Ash), Albion (Albie) or Alfie as alternatives?

Reuben - love this name!! I used to work with a guy in his 30s with this name, and it suited him very well. I think it's a name that suits a child and an adult equally well.

Miller - nice name - would be my second pick after Reuben

Nate - really dislike - sounds very American to me, and not a fan of Nathan or Nathanial either
Gudrun
I pick Britta Maree and Reuben Maxwell. I'm loyal to old faves and Britta and Reuben are amongst them.

Tessa/Tess Maree

Britta or Tess for a girl, both are lovely. Don't worry about associations, once you get past the initial "newness" of the name your little one will grow to own it, and you will forget about old irrelevant associations.

Love Rueben for a boy - there was Rueben "the Hurricane" the boxer, so think a man and teenager could wear this well! original.gif
I like it with Maxwell as a mn.

Thanks for the feedback so far. Finding a name is so much harder than I thought it would be!!!!!!!
