had their last check up w/ the neonate and he has announced they are fine, fit and healthy w/ no forseeable problems.

However, we also saw a Triple P coordinator y'day who deals w/ multiples and the sorts of problems that we parents deal w/ daily.
Young Jassy is in the medium range of challenging behaviour. But we think her problem is that she has 50 words can put 2 words together only occasionally and has 30 tanties a day.. Charming child indeed but still very loveable.

Her speech is quite delayed but the worst thing that actually came out of y'day was when I asked their d/c carer if she thinks their speech has improved, she told me they very rarely even speak but that the tanties are few & far between (of course) so now I am beginning to be a little more concerned about their speech.

Nobody is consistent. triple P tells me to speak to a speech path, the neonate says wait, d/c says wait, the paed says in good time, everyone around us that has kids that are talking but Jas will rarely even point. They have had their hearing tested, can do complex tasks & follow all directions, they do not imitate each's speech & Emily doesn't talk for Jas.

I'm not really sure what direction to go in. Should I speak to a speechy and see what they have to say or wait and see?

Has anyone had this problem w/ one of the kids, if so how did you deal w/ it and how long did it last??

We are all so frustrated and I was enjoying the peace but I can actually say I am well and truly over it. I just want them to put 2 words together that sound familiar.

Next mth they start kindy w/ the 3/4yr olds. Maybe that will help improve the speech do you think?
