So, as the Title says...

Eliza Jane

or

Eliza Jayne

My middle name is Jane. So have always planned on it being the same. Never even considered a different spelling until the last 24hrs. Think baby brain is kicking in!!

Anyway, WDYT?

Given it's after you, I say Jane. But, I know a Jayne who is the loveliest woman and so I'd choose the y spelling if I were using it.
lanismummy
Yep, thats what I was thinking!!!

Just having one of those moments where I thought on paper maybe it needed to be 'prettier'. But I think after a while the Y would annoy me.

Sleep, thats what I need!! Then I wouldn't sit up thinking about this sort of stuff!! Tounge1.gif

Spelt with a y it is sanskrit and means victorious.

THANKS!! biggrin.gif

I fell in love with Eliza when I saw it on here when I was about 8 weeks!! It's the only name that I felt a connection with. I dreamt of holding a baby girl and told DH that we were using my middle name for her - so from there came Eliza Jane. I've since found out there is a song called Little Liza Jane. My 2 other DD's now know all the words and sing it to her through my belly.

Long winded thank you, but there's how it came about!! Ha ha. :0)

Eliza Jane.

Great name!

My middle name is Jane and I have always liked Jane spelt with a Y in it, so when we decided to call DD Rebekah Jayne I added the Y.
When we found out DD2 was an angel we wanted to name her after both of us so Jane (no Y) was used for me and never thought of putting a Y in it.

Both are pretty

I love the name Eliza Jane! Eliza Jayne is pretty too, but in this case I don't think the y is strictly necessary.
fifi-trixibelle
Definitely Eliza Jane. I don't know why you would even consider Jayne with your middle name being spelt Jane.

Jane for sure! original.gif

Jane.
I always want to pronounce Jayne as Jay-nee, not Jane.

I am partial to Eliza Jane, as that is my niece's name (and Jane is the spelling of your name). But they are both legit. Lovely combination!

My middle name is Jayne, and I've always preferred it with the Y. But since yours is spelt Jane, that's how I'd spell it for DD too.

Jayne with a 'y' does not appeal to me at all, definitely Jane.

My middle name is Jayne too, and we had a little girl, called her Eliza Jade!! original.gif

I am Jane Eliza,
I have always said i would have loved to have had a daughter and called her Eliza Jane, but my hubby thought that was weird! lol.
Love it though! Leave the Y out... it isn't needed, it is pretty the way it is. biggrin.gif
