I'm thinking of joining up.

I have a vision impairment which makes me a slow reader and I never seem to have time to read, but well, reading is kind of required in my profession (writer), so thought maybe this might be the way to go. Has anyone bought books via aubibles, and if so, did you have an iTunes account or simply downloaded to your computer and were you happy with the value?

I am a member of Audible and think they are excellent. My only problem is that I didn't want to download the books to my Ipod because I have trouble listening to my Ipod in my car. I did download a couple of books to cd's though which worked fine but took up a lot of dvd's and took a long time to download.

I have a Kindle now and I know I can download Audible titles to the Kindle. If I can figure out whether or not there is a way to turn up the Kindle's volume I will keep my membership.
