I think of Severus Snape.
I vastly prefer Seraphina/Serafina.

I find it difficult to get past the "Sever" part. It makes me think of a severed head.

I knew a Severyn once but I didn't think it was a particularly nice name so I don't like either of those. When I say Severina is rhymes with Philomena too so I definitely wouldn't use it with a Philomena already.
I personally wouldn't go there, and when I first read it I thought it was a thread about a sugar replacement.

For Severine to work well, I think you need to be in a French speaking country. I have a Belgian friend/colleague called Severine & it sounds LOVELY when our Belgian co-workers say her name.
Araminta, on the other hand, requires no French accent to sound lovely.

I actually really like Severine as a name (not crazy about Severina though - sounds made up), but even so, I agree with this comment:

I also agree that Seraphina/Serafina are probably better options.

I used to know a Severine, went by 'Sev' though. It does feel a bit harsh, and Severina is a little bit too close to Philomena I think.
There is also something about it that doesn't seem to fit in terms of...geographical location. Wrong part of Europe or something.

Reminds me of severe which makes me think it isn't pretty like your other girls' names.

Its pretty when said in an accent, but I don't know that it would suit the Australian one so well. Another kid who would probably be spending a great deal of time repeating herself and spelling her name!
