My nearly 4yo son made a lasanga yesturday, followed by muffins with smarties on top!
I put all the ingrediants on the bench, (he has watched me cook one many times before) instructed him a little..but he did it, just apart from the parts which included the hot oven.
I am so proud of him, he is now officially a better cook than my dad!!

Clever and cute

I can't wait for my kids to be old enough to cook with!

That's very impressive. Maybe you have a future Master Chefer on your hands! My four year old can do a 100 piece puzzle, but lasange and muffins would be beyond him! He does help me cook sometimes, but is not that interested. He could probably get out all the ingredients needed for muffins, but is not really a numbers man, so the measurements he would have no idea about.

Wow! What a clever four year old you have!

Before you know it he will be hosting his own dinner parties.
My 11 year old can't even make himself toast so the thought of lasagna and muffins would spin him into a frenzy.
Awesome

one of my DS favourite things to cook is lasagna.. and cup cakes! (think i have made them both too many times, he even knows which ingredients to get out of the cupboard!) ooops!

LOL .. yes I cook it a fair bit too!
I wasnt actually expecting him to do it all, ahe just told me to move back, so he could get started.
It made me realise how much he really does take notice of things, I had not fully realised.

That is awesome! It is amazing what kids can learn if they are interested and supported to give it a go! Good on you as well for being brave enough to let him have a go!

WOW! I am jealous. My 4 year old struggles to get off the couch and into the kitchen to get a cup of water...
Hope you enjoyed your dinner.
