Hi There

Just a quick question

I have been spending a fortune on breast pump hire & was wondering if anyone can recommend a double electric breast pump to buy?

I am currently using a medela double electric, but this is too expensive to buy.....The only good pumps i've heard of are all manual & I dont want a manual pump, so if anyone knows of a good double electric pump, that would be great.

Cheers, Lilymurray

I had an Ameda double electric - in fact I'm pretty sure I sold mine to Reneej! I bought it after hiring the Ameda one - however very soon after I bought it I decided to give up on the expressing (my two wouldn't breastfeed) - but the suction etc was identical to the hospital one.

I had the Medela mini electric double (I think it was $300 new but maybe we got ripped off - it was a desperation purchase the day before I left hospital as I couldn't get a rental). I ended up only expressing for 6 weeks and sold it to another twin mum. Anyway -I found it good to use, good "suction" (lovely thought), even though I did have some problems with the mental image of being milked.

yeah mrsblud lol I bought yours original.gif its going strong I find it great I am so happy I got it ,

Lilymurray I used a Medela in Hospital couple years ago and the Ameda is just as good I think its a little bit cheaper to buy new too , also the medela Mini electrics are not ment for full time pumping as the motor wears out after so many hours its only ment for occasional use I had one 2 yrs ago and I lent it to a friend and it died on her I had hardly used it to ( she was full time pumping )

Cheers Renee
