I know this has been discussed before but I can't find the thread!

Did you use one when breastfeeding your twin babies?
What type was it? Where did you get it from? How much $$ ? Did you buy it before the birth or afterwards?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm now 35 wks and still haven't got one.

I used a breastfeeding pillow from a couple of weeks after they come home until they were about 5 months old. I found it INVALUABLE. My girls were prem & very small & found it hard to keep them both attatched at the same time.

I used "My Breast friend" pillow. I had tried using pillows & towels to prop the girls up, but I just couldn't get the hang of it.

I bought mine 2nd hand for about $40-$50. It had a cover that could be removed & washed too.

Hope that helps.

I use a twin feeding pillow. I got the pattern when I attended my twins class at the hospital. DH's dad works in the furniture making business and had it made up for me. The idea with the pattern is to go to somewhere like Clarke's rubber and get the foam cut up. It's DEFINITELY a lot easier than using an assortment of pillows and towels. I've seen them at the shops for around $60. Check with your local Multiple Birth Assoc or baby store.

I used the same breast feeding pillow as busyb and I loved it. There is no way I could have tandem fed without it, but a lot of multiple mums say they feed on the couch with lots of pillows supporting them.

Hi there,
If you happen to be in Melb, I also have one that needs a home. It was my lifesaver and made twin feeding so easy. Let me know

Thanks for your responses. I've emailed Amba and hopefully they have a pillow I can hire or at least try first. I also have a twin antenatal session on Thursday which will discuss breastfeeding so there might be more info on them there too.
