No baby on the way yet, (still trying convince DH) just daydreaming about the name Grace for a future DD at the moment. Trying to come up with a middle name to suit. Our surname rhymes with "Smiley" though so I'm not too fond of anything that ends in the "lee" sound (if that make sense).
I'm looking for suggestions that are unusual (but not "uneek")
Thanks

Being a lover of musical rhythms, I automatically head for a three- or four-syllable middle name with the stress on the second syllable. Say these to yourself and you'll see what I mean:
Grace Elizabeth Smiley
Grace Ilana Smiley (I think I like this one best)
Grace Rhiannon Smiley
Grace Matilda Smiley
Grace Armani Smiley
Grace Cassandra Smiley...
It runs better when the middle name starts with a vowel, too. Your tongue doesn't have to stop dead and start again.
Also when a child has a short first name, I like to balance it with a long middle name so if they want a fancier name later on they can choose to be known by their middle name.

I'm genuinely fond of Jane. I know its classic and hardly groundbreaking but you also don't run into a little one named Jane every day.
Grace Jane would be my pick.
Other options:
Grace Isla
Grace Anne
Grace Mae
Grace Skye
Grace Caitlin
Grace Jael (pronounced Yah-el)
Grace Niamh/Neve
Grace Saoirse
Grace Rowan/Rowena

With a short first name, I like a longer middle name - so 3 syllables preferably!
DD2 is Grace Genevieve

It's a family name, but it also worked well with Grace, so it was perfect!

Thank you ladies, so many lovely suggestions, I wouldn't have thought of most of those until they were suggested.
I am sure DH will be thrilled I want to talk about our possible future DD's name to be again... Might have to keep the list to myself for a while, I've been so clucky lately and annoying him with my ongoing future name discussions.
What are your thoughts on:
Grace Lucinda
Grace Charlotte
Grace Sibella
Grace Lorelai
Grace Kora
Grace Luella
Grace Genevieve
Thank you all so much, you have all been most helpful. Looking forward seeing more suggestions if they come through and your opinions on my shortlist.

Grace
If we are lucky enough to have a

her name will be Grace Lindsay
Grace was my grandmother's name and is my aunt's middle name. Lindsay was my grandfather's name and is my step father's middle name.
They are both beautiful family names and mean alot to us.
I love that you have chosen Grace as a first name its much to pretty to be relegated second place as it usually is IMO

I am 100% with Aunt Annie on this one. A one syllable middle name does sound as lyrical to me, nor do names with the emphasis on the first syllable.
Additional suggestions in the same vein (3-4 syllable, emphasis on the 2nd syllable):
Grace Rebecca Smiley
Grace Camilla Smiley
Grace Victoria Smiley (my choice)
While I am not a huge fan of Grace in the middle name slot -- because it's so common -- I love it as a first name! Good luck finding the perfect middle name.

Adore Grace as a Christian name

Would have had it in a heartbeat if dh hadn't kept saying no

So had to leave it for DD3's middle name as I just wasn't sure if I would get another chance.
Love these as they were my frontrunners lol

I agree Grace Lucinda is lovely.
It flows nicely unlike Charlotte and Sibella ( the s sound at the end of Grace )

I have Grace Bethany. On a side note WOW on talking baby names with no baby in sight. My DH has a 'no talking baby names till baby is HERE' policy

fifth time round its a bit annoying cos then we have a nameless baby for several days

We are having Grace Kerrie, Kerrie is DH's aunt, and I wanted to make sure she was recognised, as she has practically raised DH and his siblings, and I love her to bits.

I think probably 3/4 syllable MN with the 1-syllable FN and 2-syllable surname. And yeah, I like the stress on the second syllable. I like the suggestion of Helena. If you like Lorelei (1st syllable stress) please spell it thus (it is German and it is Lorelei).
Others:
Grace Persephone
Grace Brigitta
Grace Camelia
Grace Camilla
