Could someone pls recommend a pram/stroller for twins. We have looked at the Peg-perego aria and the steelcraft option. The steelcraft is a bit heavy and the peg seems a bit flimsy. The twins are due in november and we need to decide on a pram soon that is good for new borns.

HI there

When I had my 2nd set of twins I had a Maclaren side-by-side twin pram.
It is a umbrella stroller type folding pram and lightweight.. fits thru most doorways...... has hood and cover....
I paid $475 back then - they were born Aug '98....

HTH

cheers

My sister had twins in Dec 03 and had the Maclaren side by side, and said it was brilliant, as mentioned, light weight, fits through doors and in car boots.
She paid around $500 for it, but says it was worth every cent.

We have two prams:
1/ Valco Twin Runabout II (used for walking trips and doesnt go in the car) Great pram, sterdy, fits through most doors original.gif Fantastic quality, light and very easy to turn original.gif
Here is the link for the Valco pram -

2/ Childcare Twin Shopper (Kept in the boot of the car at all times) Used mainly for when we go shopping, as it takes up less room in the boot, is easy for me to get in and out, very compact, comfortable and can be reclined fully for use from birth, good for travelling, very light weight and has been worth its weight in gold original.gif
Here is the link for the new Childcare stroller on the market -

Love them both and the Valco gets more of a workout than the stroller, but they are both great. Best thing we ever did was get two prams original.gif

HTH and best of luck choosing original.gif

Hi, we have a Maclaren side-by-side twin pram and it's been great. We had our boys in it from when they were newborns and we still use it even though they're very big boys now.

I have the Peg Aria.
I chose it because it was so light to pick up and was about the only one that would fit in my boot.
I love my pram and find it easy to wheel around and fits through standard doorways.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

I have two - a Love n Care Twin Sporty - guaranteed to fit through a standard door (I know a few mums with the Valco and it does not fit through every standard door - same with the Aussie Baby) and a Childcare Umbrella Fold Stroller - I only got the stroller a month ago to take away on hols with us - I mainly use the jogger.

Hi, we have a Maclaren Twin Traveller and used it from when the girls were born (they are 3 months old now). For us its great. It folds neatly and easy to lift (I'm a small framed person) and fits into the carboot with no problems. Space was the main criteria for us. Few things to be aware of:
- when the seat is at the lowest lying level, its almost impossible to access the storage basket (we got around this by hanging a bag on the handles instead of using the baskets)
- seats are quite narrow, which is ok for babies, but our 2 year old just fit in it (and she is not a big girl)

Otherwise, I've found it fits in all house doorways and easy to maneuvour.

Hi.
We have a Childcare twin stroller/pram. My girls are 3 in January and it has been fantastic. We used it from birth. It squeek after a month or so but we put WD40 on the wheels and it hasn't squeeked since. It is light and easy put into the boot of our car. It cost around $300 and we have got our monies worth.

Hi.

We also got the Childcare Twin Deluxe Shopper and plan on using it from birth. It is light and folds down relatively flat which is what we were after. With our last child we had a jogger which didn't fold flat and took up most of the room in the boot. Very happy with the choice we have made on this pram. Now we just have to wait until the babies are born so we can use it lol.

Our twins are due in December
