Ava Jean
OR
Clara Jean

Clara Jean!
I like Ava as well, but it is so popular. Clara is beautiful, feminine and classic and is really uncommon as a bonus
Craftilicious
Clara Jean!

Clara Jean hands down.

I adore the name Clara as when I was a child we had an elderly German couple who lived across the road an she was called Klara. To this day she is still one of the kindest women I have ever known. I prefer the spelling with a K but that is because of my own bias.

Clara

Ava is ridiculously popular in our area. DD1 did dance last year with 3 Ava's, all known by both their first and middle name. One of them was Ava Jean. So I'm going with Clara.
fifi-trixibelle
Both first names are lovely but I'd go with Clara.

Clara Jean, provided Clara is not pronounced "Claire-a". Which is only acceptable if you have a North American accent.

I'm really not fussed by the popularity of Ava. I've only ever known of 1 since we were considering it for DS1 if he were to be a girl.

I do really really love Clara though!

DILEMMA!!!! lol

Clara, hands down.

Ava makes me cringe. I like Eva though.

Hmmm that's a tough one, their both such nice names happy.gif

I think I would go with Ava. It's such a beautiful name and it sounds better with Jean than Clara dose IMO.

I prefer Ava - for some reason Clara reminds me of a cows name (although it is still lovely).

Definitely Clara! Awesome name and Ava is WAY too popular.

They are both lovely names, Ava was on our list for DD but I also really like Clara. Plus the main character in the nutcracker ballets name is Clara which I always think is a nice connotation (not if you don't like ballet though I spose!) I'm sorry I'm no help, I can't choose between the two, good luck with your decision though, it's so hard!
