After a huge search and much debating over names for our soon to be son we've gone back to two of the names we had picked out 5 years ago for DD. So now to get it to THE one - which do you prefer:
Brodie/Brody John
Joshua John
Jemstar
Joshua.
3rdtimemummy
My vote goes for Joshua too x
Gudrun
Too hard, I like them both equally. They're quite different from each other. Maybe one goes better with your DD's name or better with the surname?
rileys-mum
Joshua
Benevolence
Joshua
leebee26
.
howdo
I too would go for Brodie because Joshua is ... well it's a J name ... ph34r.gif

that said I actually prefer Joshua as a name over Brodie.

hmmm tough one.
BooBooKitty
Joshua
Klinkalink
Joshua
i-believe-in-miracles
Definitely Joshua.... but I'm probably biased biggrin.gif
marnie27
Without a doubt, Joshua.
Jen1
Joshua
little lion
Joshua
MnM
Joshua
Harlo
I prefer Joshua.
Bel Rowley
Joshua, not even close. I think the J name thing is a load of hooey, my parents are both teachers and still chose a J name for their son so they obviously weren't put off by J-named terrors!
nlman
Joshua (and I'm a teacher too!)
ras500
I like Brody
myangelryan
Brody. Cos I have one! Have also always liked Joshua too but "Josh" doesn't go with our surname.
Applemint
Joshua without a doubt. It is a classic, strong name that won't go out of style.
Mamabugz
My niece had 3 Joshua's in her class last year and there are 3 in Prep this year with my son. We also know another Joshua of who is 4. So at school it is Joshua A, Joshua T, Joshua S... You get the idea happy.gif

Depends if you mind how popular the name is...

Phenomenon
Joshua.
Gossamer
Joshua.
liveworkplay
Joshua
~SES~
Joshua
avonlea
Brodie. Nice name
Too many Joshua's around these days.

rosebay
Joshua is a beautiful name.
*magenta*
Joshua, about a million times over.

Brodie just isn't in the same league.

fifi-trixibelle
I definitely prefer Joshua, it's lovely.
Frau Farbissina
Joshua

la di dah
It's an easy choice for me. Joshua all the way.
Swimmer
Joshua.

Don't like Brodie at all.
ange_75
I would love to name a future son Joshua - but its my DH's name. biggrin.gif

LOVE the name! Brodie is NMS.
IVF Baby
Joshua is out name too. We have started referring to the baby as Joshi and it really fits well. Good luck with your decision

Joshua. Brodie is revolting.
Crombek
Joshua definitely.

I used to work in a juvenile detention centre and saw MULTIPLE Brodie/Brody/Brady's
Reubsmum77
Joshua John (and I'm a teacher too!) If you don't want Joshua X at school, then nickname him JJ to make him stand out from others...just a thought.
peebs
Joshua by many, many miles.
Tenacious C
Joshua by a mile.

shacols
I Like Joshua but love Brodie, but i do have a Broden.
~Mintie~
I prefer Joshua original.gif
Becca3
Joshua.
vanessa71
I dislike both names, but Joshua is far better than Brodie, even with John as a middle name.

JHC
What's the 'J name thing' being mentioned?

I don't like either name but I would choose Brodie just because it isn't as popular as Joshua.
libbylu
I only know a girl name Brodie.
strawberryfire
I have a Joshua so I should be biased, but I love both of them.

Though i also know 2 females with the name Brodie
~THE~MAGICIAN~
Joshua definitely.
Don't need to ask, there is no comparison.
