DH was offered a posting there. I am concerned as I have 3 young kids (1, 3, 5yrs).

A friend ( playgroup mum) has just returned after 2.5 years in Santiago. They absolutely loved it, and following all there time through email updates and Facebook it looked amazing. They all speak Spanish now, the kids particulary well (they were 3.5 and 6months when they left).
I would absolutely do it, you'll have great support in the expat community, an awesome opportunity.

what a great opportunity!! You could also do a lot of traveling.
