I have always had a soft spot for Meredith.

Lol 2 out of 3 of those are my sisters names. I like Alice or Penelope.

I really like Alice and Penelope. They were both on our list. DD ended up with Alice as her middle name.

My only concern with Alice would be having all 3 names starting with a vowel. That is one of the reasons we didn't use Alice as the first name for DD (she is our third child); I thought X, Y and Alice was a little bit of a mouthful.

But then I am biased. I have a friend named Penelope who can't stand her name. She mostly goes by an unrelated nickname.

Meredith sounds middle age-ish to me, I cant picture it on a little girl or a teenager.

I was going to say Alice and then saw you've got an Owen and Eve so now I definitely vote for Alice as I think a longer name doesn't fit well with the short names.

Another one who likes them all, with Meredith being my favourite (because that is one of my sister's names, and she is fantastic)! Alice is lovely but very popular where I live now, so you might find it becomes one of those popular names that saturate the class in prep (like one of my boys knows so many Jacks that its ridiculous).

Alice is definitely my pick, followed by Penelope. I don't like Meredith and people always spell it incorrectly, the amount of times I've seen Merideth is not funny.

Alice is my favourite - such a gorgeous classic timeless name. I'd choose for DD2 but DH isn't that keen on it I can't figure out why.

I don't mind Penelope, but never been a fan of Meredith myself although I do think it's becoming more popular.

If I was picking for myself, I'd go Meredith because I think the nn Merry is cute. I love Alice just as much, except that I hate the nn Ali/Ally. Picking for you, I'd go Alice because it sounds great with Owen and Eve.

Penelope doesn't do it for me at all.

all lovely, alice does seem to fit the best. it's a little shorter like the other names, and fits well with the syllables in the family name. IMHO! love the names of your other children too

I like Meredith. Merry is such a cute nickname, and Meredith is a great name for later in life.
