You lovely, lovely ladies!! Thank you so much for your birthday wishes! Today (their actual birthday) has been a very quiet, 'normal' day after the excitement of yesterday - the birthday party. They received some great presents, and had their first taste of cake. I made two cakes in the shape of a number 1 - my first attempt at cake decorating, and they looked pretty good! (Well, not as good as in the Women's Weekly cookbook, but not too bad). Plus they got lots of cuddles from Grandmas and Aunties etc etc.

I can't believe they are one! This time last year I was in hospital hooked up to ventolin in a failed attempt to stop the labour! Today, I looked around at all the mess, all the toys and the leftover cake sitting on the bench, and had one of those 'how on earth did this happen?' moments!
