Hi - my girls are a long way from school so I don't have any personal experience but have a look at this website which deals with school issues for multiples:

Perhaps speak to your school as well and see if they have any policies in regards to twins?
Contact your Multiple Birth Association and see if they have any advice?

My DD is in Yr1 and one of her classmates has his twin sister in the other Yr 1 class. That's just the way the school divided them and they are both perfectly happy.
Think about your twins and how competitive they are, how dependent are they on each other etc? Talk to them about how they would feel if not together.

I have until 2009 to sort this one out but know it will be a hard decision!

[color=Teal]I'd love to hear everyone's comments on this topic as I'm thinking that I'd like our boys to be in separate classes when they start school in 2009. The only problem is that the school I'd like them to go to only has 1 class per year!! Mmmm, I might start looking at some other schools!! wink.gif

Hi. My Girls started school this year, they are in seperate classes.

The School asked me at the interview what my thought on what to do were and I asked them what they thought , They said they needed to hear what my thought were 1st. I told them that I wanted them seperated and they adv that that is what they recommend , unless the twins get REALLY upset about being seperated and it affects there work , however they would then seperate them in year 1.

For me the things that led to me seperating them were that they could finally be teated as 1 instead of 2, My 2 were/aren't reliant on one another at all they have always had their own circle of friends, They would be seperated in year 1 anyway so why delay it, When dd 3 starts kindy she will be all by herself as with all the other kindy kids.

My only worry was that one would get a really good teacher and the other a crappy teacher (luckily that hasnt heppened), but I will have this worry all through school so really not a valid reason.

I dont regret my decision at all , however only you know your twins and how being seperated will affects them if at all.

Goodluck with your decision, let us know what way you decide to go .

(Another downside of twins double the homework and party invites Tounge1.gif)
