JEN glad to hear you went the "non return" way for Father's day. I know of others who didn't have a great experience in the Mother's day from my Due in Threads too!!!!

I used one of the poems also from the twin link and changed the wording slightly to suit.........I think there was a little tear!

Anyway I hope everyone has had a lovely father's day, and yes HAYLIE hubby is called Chris.

Hi girls

My babies are 7 months old today.. they are not little bubs anymore! sad.gif

Well we had a great fathers day. BJ got to sleep in, and then the boys and i went up stairs and gave him his pressie (a geelong musical bottle opener) and then i cooked bacon & eggs for him. Then we went out shopping to check out bikes and dishwashers (i have had enough of dishes!). Then we came home had a nice lunch and relaxed and the boys had a 2 1/2 hour nap! Great day!

Lisa - your girls are just gorgeous.

Anyhow am at work so must go..

Hi everyone,
Just popped in to say hi and I hope everyone is well. The Ego wash and cream are working !!!! My poor little boys have had this rash for so long and its finally starting to get better.
I just want one quick whinge, I went to my first playgroup for my local Multiple Birth Association on Friday. I pulled up outside, loaded the boys into their pram, walked to the front door and guess what ???. The pram wouldnt fit through the door. GRRRR
Of all the places I would have thought I surely wont have any problems here. I had to get some ladies to hold the boys while I collapsed the pram, carried it through the door then put it back up again. Im not happy about it, but I did enjoy playgroup.

One cute little story, I was visiting my dad on fathers day and it was time for the boys to sleep. We put them on my parents bed lying next to each other. About five minutes later I could hear Khain laughing. We snuck in and Ryan was shaking his body and waving his hands and babling and Khain was just lying their laughing his head off at him. It was almost as if he was putting on a show for his brother. It was really cute.

Hi to all,

Jen - Hope your resigning went OK, I always find doing that sort of thing difficult. Question?? What is the go in NSW with check ups and Immunisations, Do you take your bubs to a health care centre like here where it is free, or do you go to a GP?

Glad to hear that everyone had a nice Fathers Day.

Us - My girls are 6 months old today, gosh they grow up fast. They had there immunisations yesterday and weigh in. Chloe is 6.3kgs and Mia is 5.5kgs. It is amazing they are keeping the same difference in their weights, I wonder if this will change?? They have dropped a little off their graph but was told that was normal as they become more active. So no need to worry there. They also had their development test and that went well, they are doing everything they should be doing.

We are off to NZ on Saturday, am looking forward to it, except for the flying, from here it willl take us with stop overs 12 hours...it is going to be a long day. we did go and buy a portable DVD player to take on the plane so they can watch there Baby einstein DVd's, hopefully that will keep them still for a bit of the time. Am trying to get everything packed...it is amazing what you have to take, I hope we don't have to pay excess baggage (2 suitcases, 2 carseats, 1 travel cot and pram). So much stuff!!!. We are using our front packs to carry them around the airports, as it is a lot easier than a pram.

Wish us luck and I look forward to catching up with you all when we get back and then I have to focus on the move only 6 days later (what are we doing????LOL)

lisa&twins
Hi all

Jen - hope the resignation went well. I like the Father's Day present! Wow you've set the standard there... original.gif Gee you're good making the two cakes for your boys, it sounds like a great 1st birthday you have planned.

Mel - What sort of pram do you have? How annoying that it didn't fit at the MBA playgroup of all places! Ryan & Khain's antics sound sooo cute. I love those little belly laughs they do now.

2bubbas - good luck & have a great time in NZ. I have heard from someone in my mother's group who went to London with her 5month old that if you feed them on takeoff & landing it takes their mind off it and helps to unblock their ears?

Us - For Father's Day I did the 'nice thing' after - last Friday - my 30th bday - I didn't get a card or a present because we went to the Lion King as my present although I BOOKED THE TICKETS!!!! Aarrggghhh
Anyway, I made my DH, Aaron, a photo frame with pics of the girls holding - well, chewing - signs saying 'We love daddy' and 'daddy's girls'. It took me ages to get pics with both of them smiling (twinkle twinkle is losing its effect these days).
Had our 6 month checkup yesterday, Jessica 7.4kgs and Isabel 7.6kgs, they're stacking on the weight but not really growing in length, what chubbas!! LOL original.gif No wonder they're not really interested in solids! Anyway, all happy and healthy & that's the main thing.
I'm finally getting them to go to bed earlier, yay. 7pm - 6am now, I have sooo much more free time! Gone is the 8pm bath & bottle whoo hoo.
Well that's about as exciting as it gets here!

Sorry to hear that your MBA meeting was a bit tricky to get into - that is a very sad issue original.gif Mulitple mums cant get their prams into MBA meeting I can see the headlines now! That is a cute story about Ryan shaking his hands and head at Khain! Too cute - video camera moments!! I am sure he is enjoying drowing the sorrows with the Geelong bottle opener! LOL, 7 months already! Wow we are almost 6 months too! It goes too fast and even faster when we talk of months instead of weeks original.gif

Scott - hope you Kylie, Bayden and Sienna are well original.gif

Lindy - How is the feeding going lovie but most of all how are you coping?

Lily - Dont know if you pop in here or not but thought I would just post to say Hi and see how you were going with the feeding and expressing for your beautiful trio?

Drew - Are you out there???? Anyone heard?
New comers - please feel free to jump on in and join us here!

Us - Well we have had all the signs, and symptoms of teething and the immunisations this week too, so to say the least its been busy.....Had baby weigh in this week and results are as follows LOL-
Hayden - 6.5 kilos and 65.5 cm's long
Brooklen - 6.8 kilos and 66 cm's long
I did well at the needles - LOL, first time I didnt cry original.gif I nearly did but held it in...Kids got a balloon which made the nasty nurse look not so nasty after all original.gif
We have progressed to morning Farex, the Banana Multigrain Heinz one and some days they love it other days they hate it sad.gif not too sure if I should keep trying to intorduce other things or wait a bit longer?? what do you think? They seem ready with the mouth actions etc, but i feel they dont really want it because they dont need it?? Any help would be great....

Hoping you are well and I am sorry if I missed anyone, I am sure this is going to time out so I will cut and paste and then hit reply (scott) LOL!!!
Take care all and hope to see some new Mums/Dads in here soon original.gif

What I want to know is, how are you guiys (specifically Jodi and Hayley) able to stay up so late? Late for me is after 9pm and I noticed you are on the computer after 11! What's the secret?

Also, excuse my ignorance but what do the abbreviations DD, DS, DH etc. mean. Are there any others I should know about?

Good evening all. Hope we are all well.

Have not been in the under 1's for a while. My two are keeping me extremely busy so have had to cut my EB time down (not happy!)

Mill & Sylvs - Welcome to our Under 1's.

Below is a link to the abbreviations list. Hope it helps.

Abbreviations List

Hayley - Any sign of those nasty teeth yet? I started my two on farex (with fruit mixed in it as they didnt like it otherwise) started them on veg about 6 months. Just potato, pumpkin, carrot & sweet potato (nice and fluro orange!) Just pureed it and froze it in ice cube trays and popped out what I wanted. At first I only did one as they only had a spoon or two each. It is all trial and error. They say not to introduce too much at once just one new thing and then maybe something else in a couple of weeks (ie keep giving them the same veg). Have fun!

Jodi & Jen - How are the birthday plans going? I cant belive how the past year has flown by. I am a bit sad that my babies will be one soon. I look at them and they are not babies anymore they are more or less todlers and it makes me a bit sad. By the way if you dont mind me asking what did you get for their birthdays. We are struggling with ideas and DH and I cant agree on what to get them.

Jen - How is the job going?

Mel - It is very frustrating when you cant get your pram in a doorway. It makes me very mad sometimes, but cant believe you cant get it into the Multiple Group room. Unreal!

Lisa - Loved the fathers day gift. I wish I had thought of that. Although there is no way that I could have gotten mine to sit still together for a photo. Impossible (lol)

Us - I cant believe they will be 11 months this week (you will be kicking me out of this thread in a couple of weeks) Time goes so quickly, so enjoy your little ones while you can before you know it they will be up and about and drestroying your houses (lol). Tayla now has 6 teeth, Jake 4. Tayla took 13 steps on friday, very exciting, I dont think it will be long before she is just off. Jake still isnt interested in walking, but he is standing unaided for long period of time now so not long. We went to the Adelaide show this week and they saw their first cow and you should have seen the looks on their faces when it went 'moo' it was priceless then huge smiles broke out, they loved it. Other than not much going on around here, we are madly trying to get our landscaping dont in the back yard before their party so it has been a bit hectic around here.

Well must go and do some cleaning before bed.

Take care all

Ali

Wow Jen that is huge! What a week in employment. I get very annoyed to hear stories where employees are given the wrong impression of a job and its description. I come from an employment background and we used to deal with many young people so getting the messgae clear is very important original.gif I am sorry that you had to go through this but its good that your resignation was taken back original.gif Hope the party planning goes well, sounds like a plan to have all the cooking designated to rele's! Cant wait to see the truck cakes....

Jodi - Happy Birhtday to your 2 little princesses! How beautiful also cant wait to see your cakes...

Pop a happy birthday wish under the main forum for Madelyn & Tiahna

Mill - Jodi and I and a few others live in WA so it looks like we are on at 12pm but really its 10pm...Hope that helps LOL, so many people say that to me!

Me - Hayden is going back to the Dr for another check up his Bronchial cough has come back with a vengence...poor little man. Swimming is almost finished for a term (10 weeks already!) We are signing up for another 10 weeks original.gif I really love taking the kids to it, they are so cute to watch original.gif

Hope everyone and their children are well original.gif Chat soon

Hi all

Just a quick 'check in', as the boys have just started stirring! Things are up and down here- feeding issues still on the agenda. Went from fully b/f to b/f + comping with formula (as they had not gained weight) to expressing and giving EBM + formula from bottle (as I was told the boys sucking was not good enough and therefore my supply was suffering). Anyway, I have been letting them drink 'to appetite' (ie: until they seem sleepy/content) and they have put on WAY too much weight this week!!! I feel sooo bad- poor little Hayden somehow managed to gain a huge 700g. It is weird because he was only taking around 150ml per feed (average for this age)- but the frequency increased in the past few days. I just thought- growth spurt, so let him feed on. He has not been sleeping well for the past few days either- so probably having pains in the belly! I can't win this one. The 'old' nurse is back this week, and she thinks that I should still be giving them a couple of b/feeds a day, the bottle at other times (with a limit on the amount!)- as I am currently working myself to the bone with all of the expressing, etc. I am again quite confused, but will work it out eventually. Hope everyone else is well!

Hi,was just wondering, how do you take 2 to the pool? Do you get them both in at once or one at a time?
My poor girls have to sit in the stroller and stare longingly at the water while DS swims about happily (4yo). Too much to contemplate getting them all in.
Hayley, Indie and Shari have continual bronchiolitis. Does this mean they will have asthma? What have you been told?
To all you people with first birthdays coming up, happy Birthday and congratulations! What did you buy them? Did you buy them the same or different presents?
Bye for now!
Mill.

Hi girls

Hayley - love the pic of Hayden & Brooklen on your sig - very cute! Yes BJ was devastated that Geelong lost.. Poor thing.

Mill - don't worry i'm always in bed early i really can't stay up past 8.30!!

Well i have been sick the last few days.. so had today off work and rested. Feel tons better today.

The boys are good - getting more teeth, so they will have 4 each soon and that is causeing them to be grumpy. They are so funny at the moment. They are loving to stand and Keenan loves to bounce when he is standing.. i think they might walk before they crawl because they love to hold onto furniture and stuff while standing (if we put them there) whereas they have no idea what to do when it comes to crawling.

Here is a new pic of me and my boys taken on the weekend:

They are eating heaps now. I make up heaps of vegies - mainly potato, pumpkin, sweet potato, zucchini, carrot. I also puree up Pear, Apple & Banana for snacks. I have been buying the Baby Petit Miam Cereal Yoghurt and htey have that for breakfast. They love that. They would eat yoghurt all day. I am addicted to cloth nappies and have been buying tons (BJ hates myspending!, oh well!). So the boys little bums look so cute.

Jen - that work situation sounds crazy. I am lucky with my job i am out of the door at 4pm and they don't expect me to stay thank goodness.

Anyhow must go - dinner is ready.

Rach :-)

Hello all,
Finally getting around to posting a message.
I wrote a long message last week but eb logged out on me and I lost the whole thing!! Just didn't have the time to start all over again.

Lindy: Keep your head up. We are up and down like you at the mo too. Another weigh-in tomorrow so figers crossed. Bayden put on 165 grams last week which was tons better than what he was previously doing (70 - 90gms) Sienna is charging at 200+ gms per week. The nurses keep telling us to get to wound up about weight but we are finding this hard to do. 700 gms in a week!! That is amazing.

Haylie: GO THE SWANIES!!!!! Not all that confident we are going to go much further but a win is a win. I am more of an NRL fan. Cute pic of Brooklen & Hayden!! Heres hoping hayden gets better quick smart.

Got to run,

Regards
Scott

Geez we have all been slack. must of had big weekends!!

Not much going on in sunny canberra. The boys are having sleep issues.. but apart from that it is all good. they love their walkers and giggle and laugh and race around in them.

Jen - the birthday party sounds like it was great. I can't wait to check out the truck cakes. I am still deciding what to do for my boys birthday. i know i want to make them a cake each, but not sure yet what!! BJ thinks we should just buy them a cake each and i said NO WAY!!

Do all of your twins share a room? we are havin gmajor dramas with the boys waking each other and just setting each other off. I am not sure if i should separate them because i really don't want to but i just don't want it to continue.. Any pointers? We have tried CC and it was working quite well but the other night Keenan cried for ages and ages and i had to go and pick him up,. so then he fell asleep in my arms and by the time i put him back to bed Aidan was asleep and they slept through. I really don't want this to be common place as yes they slept through but i was buggered from having to rock him to sleep!!
Any tips?

Rach :-)

Hi everyone,
Just thought i would pop in and say hi.
I dont know if anyone say my post about not babbling but I was concerned about Khain not really babbling. We took him to an audiolgist (Sp ??) on Thursday and he passed all the tests except for a soft chime, the lady told us that he is quite young to be tested and not to worry but we have to go back in January. So the outcome of the visit was that he doesnt have any major hearing loss. Im still worried about him though, guess it might be a speech issue now though rather than a hearing issue.
My older sister has just found out she is 8 weeks pregnant, the "father" already has a child and a crazy ex girlfriend (So he says she is an ex, he seems a bit dodgy to me, he is a police man and he visits my sister a fair bit whilst he is on the job with his partner ie - where he wont be missed !!)
My sister came over on Sunday to help with the boys and get in a bit of practice, she only lives 20 minutes away and this is the first time she has popped over in ages. I never saw her when the boys were really little and I could have done with some help. BUT she showed me her blood tests and her hormone levels were high for how far she is.
Am I a horrible person for secretly hoping she is having twins as well ??

My first little baby is having his 6th birthday party on Sunday, we are having it at a indoor playcentre. Im not quite ready to have his parties at home yet.

Better go and do some housework (Grrr)

Mel - you never know she might have triplets!! lol. my god imagine if she did have twins - there would be kids everywhere! how funny.

Probably for the children's sake it would be better if it wasn't twins!
Isn't it funny how different things are when the shoe's on the other foot. I bet when she has the baby she'll expect you there helping all the time. Probably better for YOU if she doesn't have twins!
My sister is also pregnant with her first. When I was pregnant with twins she organised her wedding in Port Douglas for when I was 29 weeks pregnant (I went to the wedding and went into labour a few days after returning home to Victoria). Now she is 20 weeks pregnant (with one) and won't drive an hour to my place in case she goes into labour!

Yesterday Indie tried her first spot of bungy jumping. She was in the highchair and DH called me out of the room for a minute. Went back in to fing screaming baby suspended by the feet, head dangling just above the floor. Oops! I am sure my babies have 9 lives. I just hope it is nine lives EACH!

Hi guys

We've been busy lately - we went to visit our families two weeks ago, then went to Port Macquarie for a week, and DH went back to work last week and I've just been getting used to being home alone and getting housework done etc.

Emma and Brandon were 9 months old yesterday - I want to go and get them weighed this week as I don't think Brandon is gaining much weight anymore. They have just started commando crawling and life is now going to get a whole lot fun (for them not me!).

Hello to everyone,
this also my first post in this thread. Our twins finally arrived on 15/9. India Sofia came screaming into the world at 2.535kg and Jack Ferguson followed silently behind just a minute later at 2.34kg. So far this seems indicative of their personalities but we'll see. They seem to be doing well and are mostly settled but the last two nights we've been up to do feeds every 2 1/2 hours. I'm sure that's normal but the two nights befor that they slept for 4 and 5 hour intervals which made me feel great.
My biggest worry prior to them being born, apart from them being healthy was how our DS who is 21 months would cope, but so far so good although a couple of times I've seen a sad little look that breaks my heart.
Anyway I look forward to getting to know you all better !

thanks

Elke - Welcome and Congrats on the safe Arrival of India and Jack original.gif Cant wait to hear more about them!!!

Where is everyone today *LOL*???

TwinMumAli
Good evening ladies. The twins have been keeping me very busy so havent had much of a chance to get online.

Firstly Happy belated birthday to Finn and Shelby. Jen I hope you all had a great day and I love the cake photo's. I am contemplating what to make to Tayla and Jakes birthday (only weeks away, better get organised) I think I will be making a Train and a Butterfly. Hopefully they work out. I am buying the rest of the party food as I think the cakes will keep me more than busy, it will be my first attempt at anything like it.

Elke - Congratulations on India and Jack and welcome.

Wendy - Congratulations also on Noah and Issac and welcome.

Hayley - Poor Hayden, more tests. Poor little man!

Mel - My SIL has just told us she is pregnant (8 weeks), I was quietly hoping that she had twins. Althought, on the other hand she already has a DS will be 20 months when bub is born and dont think she could cope with another two.

Scott - How are Bayden and Sienna going. I hope they are being good to Mum and Dad and putting on some weight.

Lindy - Hope the feeding is sorting itself out.

And it looks like there will be a few more coming into the thread soon. All these new little ones and we are on our way to 1-2 in a few weeks. They grow up too fast.

Us - Well my babies are no-longer babies, they are nearly toddlers (very sad!). Tayla and Jake are doing fantastic. Tayla is now walking well and Jake is not far behind. He is taking blocks of 8 steps falling down, getting up and doing it over and over again so not long now. They are growing up just too fast, I cant believe that they will be one in a few weeks. We are starting to organise their party (invitations went out weeks ago but that is all I had dont) so now have organised a jumping castle and have decided on making a train and butterfly cake, hopefully they work out well.

Sorry if I missed anyone, have to jump off and have some dinner.

Catch you all soon.

Ali

Hi everyone, we have made it back safe and sound.

I am so pleased to be back home (well at least until Sunday, when we start moving out). I do ask myself why are we doing this???

The trip to New Zealand went really well and Chloe and Mia were fantastic, they put up with the flying and long car trips really well. They also were a hit with their cousins.

The flight to NZ took about 12 hours with stop overs, so it was a long day, but the girls had a few cat naps on the plane, not any real long ones and didn't start to get whingy until the last hour, so I was really proud of them. It was a bit harder on the way home as I think they had had enough of travelling by then and on the first flight to brisbane the plane was full and we didn't get a spare seat, so it was very tight. Had to give them a bit of Panadol to calm them down.

The amazing thing was that when we got home how happy they were, they couldn't stop babbling and laughing, it was so nice it see. I feel so bad now that we are moving and they will not have their things around them for some weeks. We will just have to find a home really quickly.

While we were away they are now both crawling and Chloe is trying to pull herself up on things, they are now really starting to interact more with eachother which is great.

It was a great Holiday but very tiring, we were in the car most days off to see somebody. I think next time we will stay in one place and everyone can come and see us.

I will try today to have a read through the thread and catch up wioth what everyone is doing. Hope you are all well.

Hello everyone,

Sounds like lots of exciting things are happening around the place. First birthdays sound like a ball !! Can’t wait.

Bayden and Sienna had another visit to the Paed on Thursday and it went really well. Bayden put on a cool 170grams which we were happy with but the Doc wants more! To that point we had been comping bayden with 30mls ob ebm after each feed but we have now bumped it to 50mls. Problem with this is Ky cannot keep up with the ebm so we have to comp him with formula. It has been a few days now and it doesn’t seem to bother so fingers crossed. Ky was really upset as she felt she had failed however everyone has rallied around her and told her what a good job she is doing.

Something that has changed in the past 7 days is their sleep pattern. We were getting 6 – 7 hour stretches out of them at night but over the past week they have gone back to 4 hour feeds at night or 5 hours if we are very lucky. Is this a typical sign of a growth spurt as they do seem to have stretched a little lol.

Paisley: Welcome to this end of town. There is a wealth of information in here so do not be afraid to fire away. All the best with your little ones. Listen to Rach, IT DOES GET BETTER

Mel: I hope Khains hearing results all turn out well. Love the pic of your boys.

Haylie: GO THE SWANIES!!! What a game. I couldn’t watch the final ¼. I got up and did the dishes, folded some clothes and asked Ky what the score was every now and then. I had to sit out on the lawn with the dog for the last 7 minutes though. Bayden and Sienna are just like Brooklen and Hayden. I only takes one trip to Grandma and poppys house and they want to be picked up for the rest of the week. We try to tell them that they are not allowed but as soon as we go those rules go out the window.

Jen: Good luck in the next group!! Finn and Shelby certainly know how to eat cup cakes

Elke: Congratulations on the arrival of India and Jack. Love the names!! All the best and can’t wait to see some pics.

Ali: have you found that Jake has always lagged behind in the progress stakes. Our Paed told us that girls always develop quicker than boys and we never catch up!!lol. Good luck with the party.

Regards,

Scott

Hello everyone

Haylie - BJ was going for the Swannies - since we are in Canberra Sydney is closer, and since i used to live there years ago!! It was a great game... i must admit even though i don't follow either team i was getting a bit nervous at the end... i would have of been sitting outside too Scott if it was my team playing. I can't wait for the NRL final this weekend - i am going to a BBQ and i am hoping that the Tigers win. My grandpa (who passed away about 7 years ago), loved the Tigers (lived for them really..), so i am going for them as he would have of loved it if he was still alive!!

Well my boys are going back to strange night time waking. They are rolling so much in their cots that they keep waking up and getting stuck on their bellys. Last night they woke at 11pm, then 5am and then they were awake from 5.30 to 7am chatting to each other. I feed them at 11pm and 5.30 and i have been told not too.. i would love to just encourage them to go back to sleep but it is just easier to feed them IYKWIM? I don't really know how to get past this? ANy tips?

Anyhow am at work and am flat out so must go.

I have to go and put some money off my kmart layby this w/end for the boys chrissy pressies. I went so out of control but i am going to return a bit of it as i have to realise they really do not need $700 worth of toys!!!

Bye

Rach :-)

Scott - it's true - boys develop slower then girls. Brandon is around 6 weeks behind Emma - well he was with rolling - now with sitting - well Emma sat unaided at 7 1/2 months - they are now 9 months old and Brandon still isn't sitting!
TwinMumAli
Scott - It has actually been the opposite with my two until now. Jake rolled, sat up, crawled, stood up, furniture walked all about a month ahead of Tayla. But, much to our shock she was walked first. Jake is getting a little frustrated with not being able to walk as he is alot more determined, so it wont be long until her is off.

Hi everyone,
Glad everyones bubs are doing great.
We had Braydens 6th party on Sunday, he loved it but it was a long day for the boys, they didnt want to go to sleep cause there was so much going on. They loved playing in the ball pit though.
Argh....school holidays !!!!. Any ideas on what I can do with a 6 year old and the twins ??? There are a few good little kids shows at our local RSL but I rang them up and you cant take prams into the auditorium and I dont think I could nurse 2 struggling bubs for an hour. Were going to McDonalds for lunch today cause it his actual birthday and he can play on the outdoor jungle gym. Looks like a nice day so we might go and feed some ducks after lunch.

My sister had her first ultrasound on Monday to confirm dates and it is only one baby. (Just as well). I asked her how "the father" is on Saturday, and she said something along the lines of 'see those dust tracks out the front'. So hes done what we all knew he would, and wants no responsibilty. So shes going to be a single mum, at least she has lots of family close to her to help her out.

Here is a few photos from the weekend.

BTW, Excuse the massive dribble stain on Khains shirt, but he is a massive dribbler, so much so that his nickname among family & friends is now Dribble Boy.

Rach and Haylie,Glad to hear that I am not the only one up half the night at the moment despite the fact that I had my 2 sleeping beautifully for a while.
Don't you just hate that feeling when you've had one hours sleep and then you hear that cry that goes right through you like an electric shock, lie there saying a silent prayer that it will go away and then heave yourself out of bed thinking 'is it too early to feed them yet? I really shouldn't, but I am just so tired. Maybe just tonight. Tomorrow night I'll be stronger.' Only to get back into bed, fall asleep an hour later and awake another hour later to another piercing cry. 'Oh no, this can't be happening...'
That seems to be happening a lot lately. Colds? Teething? Who knows.
My babies will never fall asleep in my arms, so it's either feed them or pat for hours on end (I have devoloped a wrist ganglion due to all this patting- very painful!) They won't even calm down if I put them in bed with us so that is out too.
So I guess the answer is no Rach, I don't have any more ideas about how to get over this hurdle. I am hoping summer will bring less colds, maybe that will help?? I don't know how you manage to get through work on so little sleep, I don't think I could, the way I feel some days.
What a whinge, sorry for being so negative everyone. If anyone has time, could you send me a pm to tell me how to put photos in my signature? That would be great thanks.

hello all....
we must be almost due for another thread. Ohhhh how the days fly by!

MEL
happy birthday to Brayden. sounds like you all had heaps of fun. Even I love those ball pits and I'm an adult. sad isn't it. Hopefully everything works out great for your sister. It is going to be hard but by the sounds of it with your family and friends around her she will be just fine. Nothing like a solid support network to get you through!!!

HAYLIE
poor little Hayden and cross cutting as well. It is so horrible especially seeming there just isn't much you can do and as soon as you lay6 them down it hurts them more. Does it look like it will be long until they are through. You probably already have them but those toys they can suck on that you keep in the freezer are a godsend as well. I don't blame you for putting him in your bed. I don't think there is a problem with it if you know there is something wrong with them. You know yourself when your not 100% how good a cuddle really is.

RACH
if you want to stop them from rolling in their cots we used the safety pillows that are like a wedge either side of them. We stopped using them when the girls could roll over the top of them and at that stage they were strong enough to roll back to front and front to back. just an option.

SCOTT
it sounds like everything is going great your end. congratulations on the weight gains that's fantastic. Kylie is doing a fantastic job. Two very healthy and happy bubs all because of you and Kylie. welldone guys!!!!

2BUBBA'S
my hat goes off to you.... twice!!!! I can't believe you went on a plane. I really just can't see myself being able to cope with that. what an amazing effort. welldone on Chloe and Mia crawling. It is so wonderful when they pull themselves up on furniture and see their little smiles which are full of pride in themselves.hopefully you find a place really quick.

ELKE
welcome to this thread and a huge congratulations on the safe arrival of India and Jack. You will love everything about these Mums and Dads in here they are great. My girls have just turned one but I'm not leaving!!! LOL.

well I am running out of time so a quick update on us....
we took the girls for their 1 year needles today. OMG...OMG....OMG.... they absolutely screamed the roof down. they had their three needles in their arms. I had to take DP with me as I am just not strong enough to deal with their needles. I just kept crying. The strangest thing happened Madelyn had her three first and I was comforting her while Tiahna was in DP arms having hers. As the needle first touched Tiahna's arm Maddy tensed up so tight and just started to scream as if it was happening to her. This happened for all three needles. I had her back facing Tiahna so she could not even see her but it was as if she knew. It was so bazarre. Thankgod that is it now until they are 4!!!!!
well I have run out of time so will have to catch up soon.
take care all and give all those bubs an extra big cuddle
Jodi
