Watching DD (3.5 years) play with her dolls I thought she's made some lovely choices in naming them.
They are:
Eliza
Jemima
Poppy
When I was little my dolls were Margaret and Kathy ...... named after my neighbours.

DS2's baby is called Helicopter. He'd like another one so he can call it Aeroplane.
DD's babies are both called Lally. Actually all baby dolls are called Lally.

When I was really little all my dolls were called 'Sarah'. Was very hard for my mum when I lost one and continually asked for Sarah!
I was informed yesterday by my 4yo DS that when he gets married, he's going to have a daughter and son named 'Senny' and 'Sunny'...

Most of DDs are variations of Dolly, Baby, Babby etc.
Except for Roaster Toaster.

DD called one of her 'Build a Bear' bears Charlotte, even though she tells me how much she hates the name. She has another teddy that she called Maurice, she got him from Mercedes when DH was having his car serviced.
She has another doll that came with the name Jolie.

Dd1's doll when she was 3 was named Nuts

I'm assuming because we called her nuts for dragging her doll everywhere

now she has a doll called Natalie - she went through a list of names that came with the doll and chose the one with a Christmas meaning (since she got her for Christmas). She also has had 2 chickens, Diamond and Sparkles.
Ds1has 2 chickens, Fishy and Fishy

DD2 only named one of her chickens and chose Halle. We have a friend with a daughter with the name but she doesnt really know her so it was a shock when she chose it.

DD's first doll was named "Baby-that-wees-and-poos". After that she wanted to name all dolls and pets after the original Hi 5 team (Charlie being her favourite). Her naming skills did progress and her special dolls were called Melissa and Charlotte.

DD (2.5) calls her Barbies 'Purple Barbie' and 'Princess Barbie'. Her big doll is called 'Snuggle Baby'...

They also have 2 Lily's, one Sophie and one Zoe. They often call themselves "Catilin" or "sophie" when playing pretend games too.

You let your kids name their toys??? I thought that was our job??? I've always had lovely time naming everyone.
DD1s favourite teddy (how do they always latch onto the ugliest in the pile?!) was originally named (by me) Sparkle, to give a bright happy name to a sad looking hand-me-down that she decided to adopt.
After about a year she declared, "his name is now Duke, Mum." From where, we do not know to this day!!!
She has also named a teddy Mali (not long after seeing the elephant) and Catty (what? We say Doggy, Bunny, Puppy, Kitty etc etc, why not Catty?!)
DS named his kangaroo "Gooki"

Not sure where that one came from!
ETA; my favourite names that I came up with?

Twin puppies named Wolfgang and Ralph

My DD1 has a horse named Darcy who is a girl, but it was a donkey and a boy for a while.
She also has a dog named Catherine who is a boy.
I have no idea where she got them from and how she decided on the genders of each.

My boy is THE most unimaginative when it comes to names for toys. We have: Tigey, Sealy, Whaley, Camely, Poley (polar bear), Ki (kiwi), Turtley, etc!

3 of them are just "Baby"
1 is Crystal (named after one of her friends from daycare last year).
1 is Kennaleigh (also named after a daycare friend)
and the last one is called "no-change-a-baby" (all said as one word lol) ... i have no idea why.

My girls (3 and 2) change the name of their dolls each time they play with them. Most of the time they are ALL called Wendy (after their aunt). The exceptions are DD1's stuffed kitten named Doggy and DD2's Eyore that for the longest time was called Toys.
ETA Eliza will often ask me to say goodnight to her and to her doll "baby Eliza"

Big Rosie - but I doubt you would want to call a little girl that IRL. But we all love Big Rosie.

My girls name almost everything either Ruby, Lily, Grace or Sophie - after their closest friends. And these names are subject to change on a whim too

But DD1 has two baby dolls with permanent names - a girl, Jessie and a boy, Simon

Then there are the two unicorns called Rainbow and Sundancer

DD has a barbie type doll called Lalee.
A big lifelike (boy) doll called Garlick (NFI where that one came from!).
A knitted red cross teddy bear called Bruce.
A red triceratops called Ruby.
A little Cancer Council bear called TiddlyBear.
There are a few others, but my brain is a bit frazzled at the moment.

DS has a doll named Emma-Kate-the-little-sook, named after a doll my godbrother had (and named himself) when he was little. We politely refer to her as Emma-Kate in company.
He was also recently given a gorgeous little doll from Fiji from his nanna - which he promptly named Derek after his little friend at CC.

Mine don't have dolls. But they have a Shark* called Snapper, an Orca* callled Porker and an elephant** called Titus (okay, I had a hand in the last one).

I really liked naming the dolls and toys too, but DD who is now 3 has started naming them herself. Betsy Mae was her first effort- no idea where that came from, and her special doll at the moment has been re-christened Rosette or more often now, Rosetti. She also has a doll called Alice who is now just known as broken leg.

hehehe
I was at Mums yesterday. She has been cleaning out the storage space in the roof. She was telling me;
"I found Kanga and roo, but I havent found Calli and Abby or Crystal..."
I was just like "Oh no, you cant find Calli and Abby? I hope they are still there.."
My DH thought it was nuts not only that they were all named but that my mum could remember all their names (they have been up there for 15 years or more) and we talked about them like they were people. silly DH
Not my child, but when my sister was a toddler, she had a Cabbage Patch Kid that she named "Onion Head". Mine was called Claudia.
