Hi namers.. I'm looking for some short names to go with our DS Tay. Names that I like so far are...
Mia
Eva
Lola
Max
Oscar
I have a long list of other names but I think I need a shortish name to go with by sons name.
Wdyt does it matter if I had a longer name for our second child?
Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks

I think another short name probably goes better because Tay is both short and nicknamey but seeing you only have the one child so far I think if you chose a longer name this time there is nothing wrong with it. If you had two children already who were Toby and Ava for example, that's when I think you definitely need another short name for the next.
Here are my thoughts on your names:
Mia- lovely
Eva- gorgeous
Lola- ok
Max- I normally prefer this as a nickname only to Maxwell, Maxim, Maximus or Maximilian but I think just Max is better with Tay
Oscar- nice
As a sibling for Tay I'd go with Lola and Max.

I don't think you need to have another short name, I know people that have kids with 1,2,3 syllables.
My kids all have 3 syllables, not planed but now feel like I can't have a short name.

I would go for another shorter name but not a single syllable name. Just shorter in spelling.
