Hi OP, my daughter is Rilee, so you have my vote for that one

but I'd be thinking that with the 'EY' on the end would be for a boy not girl.

Thanks guys! New to the forum, what does NMS mean?
I love the combination Riley Ava (I know most people think Riley's a boys name, but Elvis' grandaughter is Riley!)
I prefer Charlie straight out, not Charles. Does Charlie Klauss sound to w**ky?

It is part of a new trend of giving surnames as first names. I don't think there is anything wrong with the name Riley. At least it is not effete. Or a regrettable synonym.

My picks from the girls are in vague order of preference:
Victoria
Imogen
Catherine
Ava
And from the boys I don't mind (though aren't overly keen on):
Klauss
Flynn
I think you could pair up some of those on your girls list and make a pretty darn good name.
Some options might be:
Imogen Victoria
Ava Catherine
Catherine Victoria
and maybe Imogen Ava too.
I 100% do not like Riley or Regan.

LOL - before it became a popular kids name I thought it was a great name for a dog!
GIRLS:
Riley (we both love) - Really dislike for a girl.
Ava (both like) - nice, but very overused in my area
Claire (he loves, I like) - Love this, classic and pretty and won't date.
Victoria (family name) - Lovely

Pippa (I love) - I like it, but prefer it as a NN for Phillipa

BOYS:
Charlie (my grandfather) - I like it but dislike NN sounding names - prefer Charles
Klauss (his grandfather) - I like it but would be concerned pronunciation would be butchered in Aus
Flynn (I love, he hates) - I like it but its a bit trendy

Well, I'm going to admit that I actually like Riley for a boy or even a girl

It's not my normal sort of style, but maybe it's because I've met some really nice Rileys.
GIRLS:
Riley (we both love) - I prefer for a boy, but can suit the right type of girl I think (though of course impossible to predict your DD's nature!)
Ava (both like) - ok
Claire (he loves, I like) - nice, a bit boring maybe, ok as mn
Victoria (family name) - NMS, never liked the Vic sound
Imogen (I love, he's indifferent) - ok
Pippa (I love) - cute
Emme (I love, he hates) - I like, Emmeline for longer version?
Catherine (he loves, I hate - I know several Catherine's I can't stand!) - quite like Kate, but just ok really
So maybe Emmeline Claire would be nice?
What about Adeline?
BOYS:
Charlie (my grandfather) - back "in", seems to be v popular?
Klauss (his grandfather) - NMS but different and could be good
Flynn (I love, he hates) - very common at the moment, as is Finn
Clancy (we both like) - no way, sorry
Regan (he loves, I hate) - no way again - is it pronounced like the President?
Is Riley out for a boy? cos I think it's funky - Reminds me of Buffy's hot bf

Riley Flynn?

GIRLS:
Riley: ok but not really to my tastes
Ava: will date very quickly as its a super popular flavour of the moment name
Claire: nice, though a bit 1970s-1980s
Victoria: ok but nut not really to my tastes
Imogen: well if he's indifferent that's a no then - but also quite a popular name at the moment if that makes any bearing on your choices
Pippa: i really like this
Emme: again out of the running if he's not a fan
Catherine: out of the running as you are not a fan (neither am I to be honest)
BOYS:
Charlie: really lovely
Klauss: seriously cool!! this is my fav of all your names
Flynn: well it's out anyway as he doesn't like....but again flynn (and finn) are too super popular flavour of the moment for me
Clancy: not sure about this one
Regan: don't know how this would be pronounced? US way as in Ronald Ray-gan or Irish way as in Ree-gan (Ree to rhyme to Sea), either way i'm not sure if I'm a fan.

It seems you like the 'a' and 'e' sounding girls names. I love Emme but am not sure if its a good name for an adult. What about the name 'Amelie' (a-ma-lee). She would get Ammi for short which is cutesy, but as she gets older, Amelie is more more mature.
