Hi can anyone tell me how much it has cost them to move melbourne to Hobart... With a house full of belongings...

For us to move a big 4 bed house full and a shed full of tools from Brisbane to Hobart was 8K two years ago.

It was about $5,500 for me to move from the Gold Coast back to Hobart, but that was 12 years ago now, so that's not much help sorry.

It was a corporate move so we could have cut costs if we needed to.

Hi, we moved from Melb to Hobart at the start of the year. Our removalist (the cheapest we could find!) was only $1600 but we only had a two bedroom apartment and all our furniture was flat packed. We also got rid of alot of stuff we didn't need anymore. Good luck with the move.

just don't go with backloads, we moved interstate with them as they were the cheapest as they broke stuff in the move and blamed it on us... definitely not worth it.

Bells removalist were good for us. We only moved about 10 big boxes and loaded up the car from Melbourne -Hobart and it cost us around $600-700 over 2 years ago. As roza81 said, we offloaded alot off stuff before moving. Have you got a trailer? You could look into the cost of booking your car with a trailer on the Spirit. Might cut down costs on some of the big items you want to bring.
