Just looking for any name suggestions for our D? due in a few weeks.

We have a DD Emily already, and we tend to like fairly classic names.

I like Charlotte, but its a bit too popular for my liking at the moment (there are 3 Charlotte's in DD's daycare group). Also thinking about Jane MN Eloise... but it's just not feeling 100% right....

For boys, DD was going to be called Dylan Gregory (Gregory for DH's father), but now that name is feeling kind of "used". I love William, but feel like with the royal wedding everyone will think he was named for Prince William...

Anyone have any thoughts?

I think Eloise Jane flows better than Jane Eloise but that might be difficult as you already have an Emily. Agree that Charlotte is a bit too popular at present. Carla or Carlotta perhaps (can you tell I am an Enid Blyton fan?).

Dylan okay but a bit trendy. Maybe if you use William with Will or Bill for short, it won't have such strong Prince William associations.

I think Emily and Charlotte make a lovely sibset and seeing Emily is very popular too I wouldn't be so worried about Charlotte being popular. I don't mind Jane Elosie as a combo but Jane seems very plain next to Emily for me and I definitely wouldn't use Eloise as a first name with an Emily already.

I really like Dylan for a boy but I can understand wanting something new though I'm not too keen on William.

I love love Emily.

Charlotte is a fantastic name and one I wouldn't write it off completely. Just because there are others at daycare doesn't mean there will be at school etc. We have none at school, it's one of my DD middle names and I love it! It goes well with Emily.

Some suggestions:

Emily and Laura
Emily and Hannah
Emily and Kate
Emily and Zara
Emily and Bridget
Emily and Juliet

Oh I forgot boys ...

Dylan is fine. I only know of one.

William is a great name but better for a middle name, I don't like the nn - Willy, Billy etc.

Emily and Benjamin
Emily and Nicholas
Emily and Callum
Emily and Jonah
Emily and Caleb
Emily and Jacob
Gudrun
Girl ideas:

Alexandra
Anna
Catherine
Erica
Laurel
Lydia
Monica
Miriam
Frances
Caroline
Jeanne

Boys (I wouldn't worry about the royal):

Henry
Stephen
Andrew

I think Emily and Charlotte are gorgeous together.

I actually know 4 Emily's IRL but not a single Charlotte.

Eloise Jane is also lovely, although I much prefer Charlotte, it's do classy and pretty.

I really dislike William, it's so over used at the moment and it just doesn't appeal at all to me.

I like Dylan though biggrin.gif
