I think people only started considering Ashton after Ashton Kutcher, I think it will date. FWIW, I don't think it goes with a classic like Jemima.

I like it, and it will sound totally different without the "Kutcher" - if you know what I mean!
And yes, I agree that in 10 years, it won't matter..

I like it, but the only Ashton I have ever heard of is Ashton Kutcher.
In saying that, there are far worse celebrities to share a name with.

my ds, who was our "schoolyard referee" for DD's names doesnt even call Ashton Kutcher Ashton, he refers to him as Kelso!
I like the name and the man, so no problem here.

Exactly. People might not be naming their child after him but I'd never heard of a single Ashton until Kutcher became famous.

Personally I don't associate it with Kutcher and had come across people named Ashton before I knew who Ashton Kutcher was.
Its not my style of name but if you love it I wouldn't let the celebrity connection put you off.

I don't think Kutcher when I hear Ashton. If you like the name then use it; Ashton Joel flows very nicely.

What's wrong with Ashton Kutcher ?
.:CowGirl:.

I don't automatically think Kutcher when I hear Ashton. If it is a name you and your partner both love, then there should be nothing stopping you using it. For me I don't think it is any more Kutcher than Heath is Ledger.
