Hi,
Has any got or have any knowledge of the ABC Adventure Company Buggy - the twin one?
Photo here

When my twins (Oh I love saying that..lol) are born I will have:
3yoDD
11moDS
NB Twins

So far this is the only pram I can find to take 2 toddler seats - fit 4 kids.

I'm really just looking for feedback either way.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Cheers
Melissak

I don't know much about the Adventure Buggy, but the Valco Twin Runabout takes two toddler seats, and it's a very popular pram among the ladies here. If I had my time over again, I would definately buy one.

Hi Melissa

Sorry, I don't have twins but thought I might be able to help. original.gif

I have the Adventure Buggy Company double with the top mounted toddler seat. Its fantastic!

My 3 and a bit year old daughter is in the toddler seat and my 17mth old and 3 month old boys are in the double pram seats. Their combined weight (so far) is around 35kgs + bags and shopping and I have had no trouble pushing the pram, I can even push it one handed (unlike my childcare twin shopper which I previously thought was easy lol)

I'm almost 100% positive that this is the only pram that does take two toddler seats.

The accessories are great, its easy to use (the folding/unfolding will take a few tries to work out but easy once you know how) Its narrower than a lot of doubles. I've found I can fit into a lot more shops than I could with my Twin shopper.

It folds really flat, but is quite long(we have a commodore and it fits ok) but I mainly use it to get out of the house because I don't drive. It handles really well on long walks.

My kids are driving me insane trying to get my attention so I have to go, but feel free to ask any questions and I'll try to answer them for you.

Also I recommend emailing them at abcbuggy@xtra.co.nz They are really helpful and should be able to provide you with options based on your situation. We ordered our pram directly from them.

Big congratulations btw!
Hope this helps a little

I would be careful before getting the adventure buggy pram. I had a look at it early in my pregnancy and was barely able to lift it once folded. this would make it very hard to get into the car.

The Valco prams can take todler seats and are reasonably light for twin prams. As well as being very manoverable.

Hope this helps

We've decided on the Adventure Buggy plus toddler seat. We've done a lot of research and I much prefer this option to the valco.. I love that the toddler seat is on top - gives my DD my undivided attention most of the time when let's face it, that's going to be a tall order once the bebes arrive.

I'm getting it directly from P&T's in NZ - if you order NZD1000 or more, freight is free to Australia.

Hi again Melissa

Was just reading the other posts and wondering what the weight of the prams are. Had a quick look and saw this for the adventure buggy:

Twin buggy: 74cm wide and 15kg weight.

The Valco Twin Runabout:
74cm wide and 17kg weight.

Also to consider would be weight limits with 4 kids in one pram - can't find the info for adventure buggy double but its something like 70kgs

Hi Melissa
Congrats on the twins!
I have an Adventure Buggy and love it, although occasionally it gets caught in doors because the 2 knobs that hold the front bar onto the pram stick out a little further at the sides than the pram itself (a relatively minor thing, but you need to watch the paintwork at people's houses!!).
I have never seen 2 toddler seats attached to it, but would imagine that it would work quite well.
I also met someone today that had 2 1/2yo triplets and a 1yo - phew - and she had a 'something First' (can't think of the first word in the name! Argh!) with 2 toddler seats attached at the front so they all faced outwards. Apparently 2 seats aren't meant to be attached (only 1), but because the pram is quite wide they managed to fit 2 on there really easily.
Good luck! original.gif
