Hi there,

New member! original.gif I'm 21 have 6 month old Identical boy twins. Jordan and Oliver. They're GORGEOUS!! And so different, people are always asking me how I can tell them apart but I just say "well I can tell you in one sentence the way they are the same!"

They were born in Feb original.gif I can't belive we were so blessed!! It's They're teething something horid poor little men sad.gif but we've found that Brauer's stuff or whatever it is.. the Teething Formula works much better for them than the panadol.

I'm also a full time uni student in my 4th year of my primary education degree, which is full on trying to juggle that. But my husband and I have been able to rotate our work/study timetables around each other, so that's good!
Looking forward to meeting more mummy's and daddy's of twins. I'm in Southside Brissie if anyone wants to meet up!

Hi all,
Welcome Gret_Bliss.
GRRRRR - I just want to scream. My boys have got their cough back !!!!!!
They had Bronciolitis (SP ?) a few months ago and kept waking themselves up with their coughing and were really miserable. The last couple of days they have both starting coughing again. My local doctor wont give them anything, cause he thinks babies shouldnt have medicine and they just need to 'tough it out'.We are using a vapouriser and rubbing Euky Bear Rub on them.
One more question- Our boys are bottle feed and I just recently changed to S26 Stage 2 premium formula and they both seem to be bringing alot of it back up. I can see its a different consistency and was wondering it anyone else found this a problem.

Everybodies baby pictures are gorgeous.

Hi Guys

Sorry Mel can't help you there my girls are on Nan Ha1.

My girls will be 5 months on Sunday...I don't know where the time has gone.

My question is, has anyone put there children on Solids before 6 months? I started my girls on a bit of rice cereal at 4 months as they were always hungry and they throw up a fair bit, so I wanted to have something in their tummies. They have it as an afternoon snack, as to not interfair with their bottles but they seem to be ready for a bit more. Can anyone tell me how they introduced solids to their little ones?

They feed at 6am, 9am, 12pm, (solids at about 3:30pm)5:30pm and one still has a bottle at about 2am. They just don't seem as hungry in the afternoon.

Better go want to do a few chores before the girls wake up from their morning nap.

Good Afternoon Ladies!
Welcome to Gret_bliss!! Look forward to haering more about your boys Jordan and oliver! Awesome names! Welcome again...

Rachie - Happy 6 month Birthday to Aidan & Kennan!! Well done to you and your partner! Its so great to get the miletsones happening. How exciting - Enjoy the rolling. Brooklen goes from one end of the lounge room to the other. Hayden has just started back to front and sometimes front to back!

Mel - I know how you feel. This is the first time Hayden has had anything but it has knocked him for 6. Poor little man. We took him to the GP and said dont you dare send us home with the recommendation of Panadol!!! So we left with a mild course of liquid antibiotics - Amoxil. It seems to be helping, its just a matter of him getting the infection off his chest now.

2 Bubba's ~ I would like to wait to intro the solids a bit longer as I dont feel that my two need it yet. Theya re still sleeping and are satisfied with the milk they are having. I know Jodi (twinoski) has a great routine with the solids.
I attened a course on Into to solids and it was great - there was so much i didnt know. If you like I will call the CHN and see if she can e-mail the notes to me and then I can forward them to you rather than type the whole thing out. I got some good info...Will let you know.

All well here at the moment, Hayden missed swimming but thats Ok. He seems to be getting better and at least he is holding his milk in now original.gif
We have had a weigh in and measure -
Hayden is - 6.02 Kilos (13.24lbs) 63cm's long
Brooklen is - 6.38 kilos (14.04) 64cm's long
Slightly underweight for their age (not much) and over average for their length!

Have you guys been collecting the bar codes for the Huggies playmat? I have enough to send on Monday to get them one each if your allowed to.
Hope your Friday is going well!!!!
Haylie

At 4 months Emma and Brandon weighed:

Emma 5.45kg 61cm long
Brandon 5.15kgs 58cm long

Emma was in the 25th percentile and Brandon the 3rd (he wasn't even on the charts when he was born and Emma was just in the 1st percentile)

They weren't underweight, so I don't see how your two could be classed as being underweight.

At our last weigh in at 6 months (they are 7 1/2 months old now) they were:

Emma 6.4kg 64cm
Brandon 5.94kg 63cm

Still in the 25th and 3rd percentile.

Good evening all. Hope everyone is well.

Gret_Bliss - Welcome to our little thread.

Mel - I had the same problem with DS. Just changed him back onto step 2 at 9 months. DD is still on AR but her reflux has pretty much stopped so I am going to try her on step 2 soon. I hope they get better soon, mine got same at about same age and it bounced between then for a couple of weeks (sorry). We used a cough syrup, vaporiser, vicks, heater on and this usually got them through the night better.

2bubba's - I started solids on my two at 4 months they had farex with fruit mixed in it. Feeds were Bottles at Wake up 7-7.30am, 11am, 3pm, 7.30pm they had their food at about 5-5.30pm. Had them on 2 feeds b/fast (farex & fruit) and dinner (Veg) by 6 months. They are now on three meals a day and only have three bottles a day and still sleep from around 7pm till 7am. Also maybe try and wake DD before you go to sleep to give her a top up. This may give you a better nights sleep as it is unbroken. Also is she taking a full feed at 2am or is she waking out of habbit (just a through)?

RachieD - Yeah Keenan original.gif

Haylie - Glad Hayden is getting better. With regard to huggies if they specify one only just get one sent to a friend or families house. They will never know.

Us - Well everyone is over the Gastro (that was not pretty) and hopefully we do not have to go through that very often over the next few years (Yuck!). Jakes had is much better, bandages are off and it is looking great. So, we are doing really well at the moment. You all wait a couple of months, gee wizz, lock everything down now. They are now so distructive just go around and destroying everything. Went to my SIL's today and we just about had to re-organise her entire house as they were just into everything, Grrrrrr. But, they are doing really well crawling everywhere, furniture walking and nearly standing un-assisted. I think they could stand but are just too wary at the moment.

Well take care all and keep posting.

Ali - Thanks for the advice, it is pretty much what I am doing now, I am looking at starting to introduce a morning feed of solids in the next couple of weeks as we are off to NZ just after the girls turn 6 months and I would like to have a feeding routine set by then. As for DD, I have tried to top her up before I go to bed by it just delays that 2am feed by a an hour. She is still having a full bottle, so I will give her another few weeks of having that feed and then I will try control crying again, it worked for her sister (I think she was ready for it) but has yet to work for her...she is a bit smaller than her sister, so I will give her a little extra time. It has to happen eventually....right???

As for us, we had a very uneventful weekend...which is great, the girls are doing really well, I think they want to crawl as they are both up on their hands and knees but can't hold it for very long, they seem to do just a lot of face planting at the moment, trying to get their legs to push them along. It is a bit worrying when our house is fully tiled, so I have to make sure that they have a mat underneath them. They have worked out that they can move a couple of inches, just enough to get that toy that is out of their reach. I just hope that they don't start crawling until the end of October after we have moved, this house has two staircases.

Anyway the girls are finally asleep, so I might go and relax myself for a while.

Hi all

Gret_Bliss - Welcome!

2bubba's - Your girls are gorgeous! I am interested to know how you go with solids, I am still deciding whether or not to introduce them now or wait a bit longer. They don't seem to need solids yet, but dribble at the sight of any food in their vicinity! I let them suck at a banana at breakfast after their bottle for now, but it's mostly just to get a taste for it than to fill them up. You are brave to take them to NZ at 6 months, but they look like they'd be perfect angels!

RachieD - Can't believe your boys are 6 months, I remember when you had them & I was very nervous that I would have my girls any day.

Haylie - Good to hear Hayden is getting better. We love our Huggies playmat, but you will definitely need 2 because 1 is getting very small to share!

Ali - Glad everyone is over the Gastro & Jake's hand has healed. We are thinking of getting our kitchen renovated (famous last words... original.gif) and it has made us think twice about what oven to get and where to put it.

Us - Jessica's tooth hasn't really progressed, still a little white speck, but she seems to be much more comfortable about it & no more tanties.
Isabel has started blowing raspberries today, which has kept Jessica amused for most of the afternoon. Apart from that, not much happening, still no rolling! We're in the process of trying to make their bedtime a bit earlier (who wants bathtime in the middle of 'Desperate Housewives'? Not me!!), but without much success. They still have their last feed at 8pm - we have to wake them up - which I HATE sad.gif, then bath and to bed by 9. I have tried waking them at 7-7.30ish but they won't feed because it hasn't been long enough since their last feed. Any suggestions? Other feeds are 6.30am, 10, 1, 4.30.

Julie - Dont mind me, had my mind in 100 places when I posted about their weights. they are just under the average weight line - not underweight. Sorry....LOL Growing well and very good....the same weight now as Emma & Brandan at 7 months OMG! My two are growing fast!

Gracie (Rachel) How are you going?? How did the skin appointment go?

Lisa - got the tunnel and a playmat! Hopefully that will keep them entertained. I love the tunnel and cant wait to see them play in it....

Love all the pics girls! Our Multiples are all gorgeous!!!! Keep them coming!!!!!!

All well here - we have had a Kalgoorlie EB meet up today! It was great fun and Mulitple meeting tomorrow...cant wait for that. I always look forward to that one! Hope you are all well.

Hello Ladies
How are you all. OMG I have been just way too busy and at the moment I have a screaming bub (Tiahna). Every time I go in to settle her she giggles and laughs and as soon as I leave the room she screams. So I have come on here for a little bit of timeout. I am really in a no win situation. If she stops crying I have to run in and make sure she is o.k. so that just gets her going even more.
10minutes later....... I won... I won.... she is now sound asleep. I did go back in and gave her one more quick cuddle and patted her to sleep. It is so hard because her 7 and 8th tooth are coming through as well at the same time. OUCH!
I am still giving my girls their bottles before their feeds because otherwise they will not drink enough milk. And I know that Madelyn and Tiahna will ALWAYS eat their food. I think I could continually give them food all day long and they would just continually eat every bit!!!!! They even try and take my food off me when I eat. There is no way in the world anyone can eat infront of them without them having a taste otherwise all hell breaks lose. don't know how to control that one! I must admit I am concerned about my next challenging stage....walking. I really don't know hoe I am going to cope. When I am at home everything is fine it is just going to be when I take them out. Any tips anyone...cool.gifo:

2bubba's ~ I introduced solids to my girls at 5 months. I started with rice cereal in the mornings for breakfast. After a week I tried them with pureed apple (warm) and mixed this with their rice cereal. My girls now eat anything that is given to them.
Rach Happy B'day Aidan & Keenan. Congratulations Keenan on you first roll. What a lovely B'day pressie!
Mel ~ I hope you are feeling better. You guys really have copped it!
Jen~ I hope Shelby's rash is better. Do you use EGO wash on them? Madelyn and Tiahna are cruising around so fast on the furniture. I can't believe they are going to be totally walking soon. Have you got any recipe ides I can steal? I love cooking for my girls and am always open to try new things.
Haylie ~ poor little man Hayden hope he is feeling better. Is Brooklen still going out in sympathy with him? I was reading their heights and I think you could bet Hayden will be playing in the "ruck" for Freo when he is older.LOL. I love the new pic!!!!
gret_bliss~ welcome.....
lisa~ when my girls were 5months I was feeding them their first bottle at 6am, 8am rice cereal, 10am bottle, 2pm bottle, 6pm bottle bath and bed. I would wake them for their 10pm rollover feed then they would sleep until 6am. Now my girls are on three meals a day and sleep from 7pm until 7am with very rare wake up calls during the night (unless teeth are hurting)
Ali~ must be a relief to have Jakes bandages off. Madelyn and Tiahna are in to everything as well. They want to touch and feel everything. They are quickly learning the word "No". I need to buy more safety barriers. I think I need another two. It is when they start to climb on to the couch etc. when it is going to become tough.
this has turned into a marathon. so sorry ladies. must go 'cause dinner is ready. I love having a chef (DP) I hope I didn't miss any personals

Hi Jen
just a quick note.... my girls were coming up in a rash / irritation on their skin even under their eyes. I went to the chemist and he gave me some ego wash. I use this on their hair and bodies. I don't use any bubble baths, johnson products etc..etc.. It costs about $18 but it lasts for ages. I have had my bottle for about 3months already. Maybe give it a go.
Jodi

GOOD MORNING!!!
Jodi - how is Tiahna today? Bummer about 2 teeth at once...poor little darling. hugs to her and Madelyn.
So tell us what did you have for dinner LOL

JenM - thanks for the advice on the formula, I am due to see the pead again next week and I am going to be asking for a repeat script for the LF formula. I am way too scared to try anyhthing else....I dont mind if they dont eat cheese when they are 3 LMAO - Inour food shopping the cheese was $8 a block OMG!! LOL Thanks for the tip - scary times ahead in the solids department...

I need some advice/help before posting a new thread question!
We have Brooklen and Hayden in the same cot lying vertically with their feet at the gate. This has been fine but now they are getting too long for this and I tried to top and tail them (heads at each end and feet in the middle) Well what a catosropohe (sp?)!! They couldnt see each other and were wiggling until they could, anxious, restless, woke each hour on the hour (they sleep through normally) I just dont know what to do with them. Hayden cries if Brooklen isnt close to him and she uses that to her advantage to roll on him or over him LOL.
I didnt want to put them in their own room yet - thats my issue LOL, but I am not sure I have a choice but to separate them and each have their own cot?
Once I changed them back to normal - they were fine and slept throught the night again??? Hmmmmm

Sorry this is a huge ramble about me - I just wanted to hear of some advice in the sleeping together dept.

Hoping you are all well!!!! Off to swimming lessons today so better get Hayden and Brooklen into bed for a nap!

Thanks everyone on your advice about solids, Chloe and Mia are going great guns with them now. I give it to them about 4:30pm and they love rice cereal and apple, potato (OK a bit bland),carrot and pumpkin. I love the looks on their faces when I give them something new to try. But my DH is getting a bit carried away and I saw him giving the girls a taste of some cheese the other day. I told him that they weren't quite ready for that...luckly no reactions.

I have also tried waking and feeding DD who is not yet sleeping through the night at 9:30pm but it only delayed her night feed by 1 hour. I'm going to start reducing the amount of formula she has at night and see if that works. My other DD sleeps from 6pm - 6am which is just lovely.

HAYFILFY - about co-sleeping can't help there. Our girls have slept in their own room from the day we brought them home from the hospital. We slept them together for the first 3 weeks but then they started to wake eachother up. They are both big wrigglers.

I have heard of people putting two cots together gate side together (gate removed), tie them together, so you sort of make one big cot and sleep them in there.

I don't know how well it works but it might be an idea.

JODI - Hope the rash is better. Do you know what from??

Anyway I better go, I have bathrooms to clean....Why is it that there is not enough time in the day?????

Hi ladies. OMG what a day!!!!!! I decided to hit the shops just me and my girls.5hours later and two very tierd bubs I am finally home. Needless to say as exhausted as I was leaving the shops this lovely woman(not) decided to make an extremely bold statement " oh my god... twins...I couldn't think of anything worse!!!" she is sooooo lucky that my girls are not quite at a stage of understanding because if they were I think I would have snotted her in the nose. I love everything about being a twin Mum and most comments never get to me but this one does because it would hurt my girls feeling. Phew!!! sorry ladies had to get that out.
Haylie ~ How was swimming. My girls still have not been put right under. I can't wait till they do. Hopefully they will love it. Hmmmmmm? Tiahna is much better today now her teeth are totally through although Madelyn has woken with very rosy cheeks today. sad.gif As far as co-sleeping I think as soon as your bubs can roll unfortunately I think it is time to seperate them. I have heard way too many sad stories on this website about twins sleeping together to risk it. When we seperated Madelyn and Tiahna we made sure they could still see each other. also we put kick toys and soothers on the side of the cot so they could always hear the otherone next to them. It is a huge step for you and your bubs. Can you fit both cots in the same room? It did take a couple of days for them to get used to sleeping seperately. Goodluck.
well I'm going to put my feet up and have a cuppa.
have a great day

Hi all
Hope you are all well.
Jen - Your pic of Finn & Shelby is great. I need to figure out how to post a pic too (my pic of Jessica & Isabel at 4 days old is probably a little out of date by now!). Your mother sounds just like mine, my parents are retired and are always on the go. My mum won't commit to anything in case they need to go away - or as I see it a better offer might come along! Good luck with the teaching course, I qualified as a primary & secondary teacher 4 yrs ago, although I have only taught secondary. Feel free to PM me if you want any tips/help!
Jodi - Thanks for the advice about the girls' routine, it's always nice to compare to what others are doing. I will give the rice cereal and early bath a go. I can't believe the comment when you went shopping! I would have been gobsmacked - I'm still shocked at people's reactions to twins sometimes.
Haylie - I don't have much advice for changing the sleeping arrangements, Jess & Isabel moved beds at 3 months old and didn't seem to miss each other much. We did put the 2 cots end-to-end with each baby's head closest to the other cot (make sense?) & they seem to like being able to hear each other and they just arch their backs and look backwards to see each other.
Us - My MBA group was cancelled this morning because of sick babies (other people's!) so I went and had some retail therapy! Jessica & Isabel are all smiles and giggles at the moment and I love that they can go much longer between naps now. I'm still yet to start them on solids, I think I'm a creature of habit and am reluctant to go the next step!

Hi Ladies! Hoping you and your precious little babies are well!
Lisa if you need some help with posting pics - PM me and I will help you out with some instructions..
Jodi - Oh you are too good, after the day shopping I would have had to smack her in the head! I has a similar experience whilst in a shop here - needless to say that I shouldnt have to explain why boy/girl twins are not identical without the use of exposing body parts! I didnt spend my money there thats for sure!
We have a check up with the pead and a hearing test for both Hayden and Brooklen tomorrow - this will be the follow up hearing test for them, as we have a family history of hearing problems....wish me luck for that one! They want them to be relaxed and basically asleep for the first half and awake and reacting for the 2nd half! The guy has no idea about children!! LOL Will let you all know how it goes.
I have so much to ask the pead - I have a list ready to go LOL
Hayden and Brooklen sat in their high chairs yesterday! they loved it and being able to see what was going on and playing with their toys....It was a big step for us and OMG the room they take up is amazing. Next step solids - hmmmm exciting stuff....
Will chat soon - Take care

Hello everyone,

LISA - I wouldn't worry about starting solids, you will get there. I actually love it now, it took me awhile to feel comfortable with it but my girls just love it, they sit in their highchairs and watch me prepare their food and get quite demanding until I put that first mouthful in their mouth.
HAYFILFY - Aren't Highchairs great, my DD's love them as they get to see everything at my level, they can really see what everyone is up to. Hope all goes well with the hearing test. How often do you go and see the Pead? My girls saw him at 6 weeks and that was the last time, if they are sick I take them to our GP (hasn't happen yet...I better touch wood)and then if I have any problems I can go to the Community Health Centre, that where they get there needles and development tests. By the way i love the photo of Hayden and Brooklen in their footie outfits...too cute
US - Not much to report except it looks like we will be moving in two months time to Wollongong. It will be a big change from Darwin. The only problem that I have is that we are off to NZ next month, as my Mum is getting married and then we will moving south only a few weeks after that, it is going to be really hard to maintain the routine I have the girls in. Hopefully it won't take us too long to settle in and get back to normal.
The girls are doing really, Mia is now getting up on her hands and knees, so I might have an early crawler there, at least she hasn't yet worked out how to move forward...they grow up way too fast.

Hope all is well with everyone

2bubbas - your girls are SO gorgeous!! I love the names Mia & Chloe.

Is anyone thinking of TTC?

BJ and i are thinking we might start in the next few months. I know we are probably insane.. but i love the boys so much that we are really keen to make our family cmoplete. As you are all aware childcare for twins is so expensive and even though i am back at work now i really don't want to be.. so i told BJ that i want to have another bub so that they will be close in age and so i can be at home! So we are thinking of starting TTC in Sept/Oct.. looking be due around Jul/Aug next year.

Must go, plenty of work to do

2bubbas - you are so going to notice the difference in Wollongong to Darwin. I was up in the NT last year and it was July and it was still so hot.. i couldn't believe it! Is your DH in the military? Mine is and we move all the time - we moved when i was 28 weeks preg from Adelaide to Canberra! We are probably moving at the end of next year, not sure where yet but hoping to stay in NSW - so prob. Rach - Good on you for wanting to try again so soon, I think it is great, would you mind having twins again?? That is my biggest thing about having more children, I don't know if we want to go from 2 children to 4. As I concieved mine naturally I don't know what the chances are of having twins again. I think I want to wait and make that decision once the girls are at least 2. You go girl!!!

No DH is not in the defence force, he is in management but we still move around a lot, this will be the 5th State we have lived in, in 9 years. The cold doesn't worry me either, as after three years of living up here I am so over the heat and also we had the hottest summer this year when I was pregnant, I just lived in A/C.

How are your boys? It is amazing how different boys and girls are, I have a friend who has twin boys and what they do and what my girls do is so different. How about those twin Mums who have one of each - do you notice big differences??

Better go and hang out washing...never ending.

Anna

2bubbas - yep i am a bit concerned about twins again. Mine were also natural. They are ID and i am also ID so i am hoping that two flukes are enough. If we were to hvae twins again it would be great, but i would love to have a single bub.

My boys are going great. They are so funny. THey crack me up. They love to just look at each other and it is like they have a special code becuase they laugh at the silliest things. It is amazing how different boy & girl twins are. My boys i can tell are going to be real little boys - running us rampant! My DP loves to play with them and be a bit rough, and they love it. If were were to have twins again i would love 2 girls to even it up, but really i will just be happy to have a single healthy bub, either girl or boy.

Anyhow must go, work to do

Girls develop quicker then boys - very obvious here with a boy and a girl - Emma always does things 6 weeks + ahead of her brother.

Hi all
Haylie - hope the hearing test went well, Jessica & Isabel had theirs when they were about 2 months old because they had been in the SCN. It was interesting trying to get them to sleep, but luckily it all went well (the lady that took the test said she'd had a set of twins that had been back 3 times!).
RachieD - Wow TTC already, I still feel like I was pregnant yesterday...although I did a pg test on the w/end (long story!) and I was surprised at how disappointed I was when it was negative. My DH didn't quite have the same reaction though.. We're still not sure if our girls are fraternal (fused placenta) so I am a little worried about twins again. There are a lot of pluses to having another one so soon, but I'm not sure if our finances would be ready yet! BTW, congrats on the weight loss so far, what are you doing?
Us - YAY Jessica rolled over tonight! Very exciting, one minute she was on her tummy and the next she was on her back with a very confused look on her face. Isabel is quite content to lie, watch and gurgle in appreciation.
I put them both in the same outfit tonight - a rare event - and I was surprised at how similar they are. I was convinced they are fraternal and now I am not so sure. I am thinking of having the zygosity DNA test done to find out. Anyone else done it or thinking of doing it? I have the name of a place that charges $165, which seems like a lot?

Hi everyone,
Just thought I would let you all know that Ryan has finally started rolling over. I was starting to get worried about him because Khain has been doing it for so long. And both of my boys now have two teeth !!
Last night at 3.00am both of the boys decided to wake up. They have been sleeping through for a few months now, so I hope this is just a one off. Mind you they were'nt crying, just squealing and saying ba ba ba ba to each other. It was all very cute, and they were full of smiles but it took about half an hour to settle them both back down.

Good morning all, hope everyone is well. Have not been on much recently has have been busy, so have been ready back to see what you are all up too. I have been organising the twins 1st birthday (very sad, cant believe they are nearly one) and am very impressed with the invitations I made. Attached link if you want to look.

Big achievement today, Tayla took a step. Yay! She is standing unassisted for about 30 seconds now and this is getting more and more each day. She loves her stride to ride walker and zips around the house walking behind this. Jake is more reserved and not too interested at the moment. We think he can stand as he has more balance than Tayla but he is not interested.

Haylie - How did the hearing test go? With co-sleeping sorry cant help you. We separated the twins as 6 weeks the day after they slept through for the first time and have not looked back since.

Mel - Yay Ryan! Dont worry that he is not doing it as fast. Jake rolled, crawled and stood months before Tayla. But, Tayla is going to walk first.

Jen - How do you do it. Twins, Work and an extra. You are too organised. I get tired just looking after the twins.

Rach - Good on you for TTC, hope doesnt take too long. I would love to in about 2 years but DH said that we are not having any more. Will have to work on him there.

Lisa - Yay Jessica, she will be off now. I do know someone that had the test done hers were ID she is in the 2+ group maybe put a post in there and see what they think.

Anna - Yes girl and boy twins are very different. But then again I dont know any different I suppose. Tayla and Jake are so different, play with different toys interested in different TV shows, Jake has no attention span at all (boy thing) and Tayla can play by herself for hours. But, Tayla loves cars and trains and much to his fathers disgust Jake loves Tayla's Doll (lol)

Jodi - How are the teeth going?

Sorry, much jump off now twins have just woken up.

Take care all

hi girls

lisa - i am doing weight watchers. i am finding it pretty easy, but sometimes i go off the wagon (like last night... oops!). I am thinking i am goign to put off TTC until i get to my goal as then it will be easier to get back down next time.. so hopefully won't be too long if i stick to it. I am thinking that the end of next year would be a good time to have a bubba (or two..), and am being realistic as financially it would be better too and i don't want to have to be on a super tight budget like we were just after we had the boys.

TwinmumAli - love the invitation.. so cute!

With my boys placenta it was very odd. My first Ob could see a line in between them (very faint line), whereas my second Ob couldn't see one and in all the scans they couldn't see it.. So we had to be super careful of the cords getting tangled etc. I don't know if it was there or not?! It totally confused me!

Anyhow am at work and am grumpy after having 2 cranky little men last night. I am going to target for lunch today as the sale is starting and they have tons of baby stuff on sale.

Hey

Jen - don't worry your posts aren't boring.. i just don't have too much to say at the moment! Well my boys are going well. They are rolling and are so funny. They do big belly laughs. The other day we were on our way home in the car and they were talking to each other and i turned around and they were looking at each other and reached out and held hands. It was so CUTE. i nearly cried! I love the fact that they will always have a best friend. I just can't believe that i can love anyone the amount that i love my boys, it is such an amazing love that a Mum has for her baby/ies. I am so happy to be their mumma! Anyhow i have raved on enough - see Jen my posts are super boring!!

Must go - have 43 mins left of work, can you tell i wanna be outta here.

Hi all!
It has been great to read this thread today now that I have more time LOL
Jen - your posts are not boring!! LOL, i was reading and made a note to offer to get some ego wash and send it to you - but not to worry you got some (its now scrubbed off my list LOL)
I hope the skin clears up soon! Not nice for your Shelby or Finn's dribble rash.

Rach - wow good on you with the ttc, you will know when the time is right. I am enjoying twin motherhood so much too! So cute when they intentially hold hands!I often get teary at moment like those...

Alison - the invite is great!! Very creative....You are clever indeed. How exciting that Taylah took a step!! I remember Jodi's post about Madelyns first step!!!! Awwwww - too cute.

MelZ - Two teeth, wow! Thats great news. How have Ryan and Khain handled it so far? Yipppeee for Ryan and the rolling!! Thats cool, hope the 3am wake up didnt last too long?

Julie - How are Emma and Brandon? This quote from you is just so true!
Girls develop quicker then boys - very obvious here with a boy and a girl - Emma always does things 6 weeks + ahead of her brother. Brooklen is ready to get moving and Hayden has proven that he can do things and now is happy to be entertained by Miss Brooklen!

Lisa - Did you get my PM? Hope all is well. We are getting some more tests done with Hayden and the hearing department. Its very hard to get an accurate test completed when they are awake and more worried about what is going on. The guy that did the tests is great but only comes here with his expensive equipment every 3 months. Stayed tuned on this.

Jodi - How are you, madelyn & Tiahna today? How is the house coming along?

Us - we have heaps to tell this week! LOL
Hayden and Brooklen are having Farex now they love it and seem to be quiet happy with the boring tasting stuff! My Mum was here for their first feed so it was nice...she is so gross and ate more than the kids did LOL!! That is exciting...
Brooklen and Hayden were Christened Catholic on Sunday the 21st August....It was beautiful. The service was great the babies were so well behaved. Hayden slept through most of the ceremony and Brooklen was awake ready to party from 8:30am until 1pm!! OMG, but she was so happy and hopefully the photographer caught many special moments for us.
We are getting over the week of visitors and the attention! Lord they know how to wrap Nan and Pop around thier tiny fingers LOL
My Birthday and moving into their own room and own cots has made this a very eventful week already and today is only tuesday!

That is enough from me - What a novel this is LOL

Hello to all you wonderful ladies....
so lovely to read what's been happening. Firstly Jen your posts are definately not boring!!!!! I think the more chat the better.

HAYLIE ~ HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY BEAUTIFUL FRIEND !!!!! Hope you got spoilt 'cause you deserve it. I am glad you have sorted out the whole sleeping thing. Can't wait to see some pics of Brooklen and Hayden at the christening. Trust little "party princess" Brooklen to be in the swing of things. LOL. I love the new pic of them. Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

ALI ~ Yeh... congratulations little Tayla on your first steps. Isn't it wonderful to see their faces when they first are standing not holding on. They are so proud of themselves yet so confused as well. I LOVE IT!!! Tiahna now has all 8 teeth through although now Madelyn is starting to get all the signs of # 7 coming. cool.gifo: My poor little bub!

MEL ~ welldone to Ryan on his rolling. It is so amazing at how they develop at such different rates and even though we know that they do, we still stress ourselves out if one is doing something and the other one isn't.

RACH ~ we have been thinking about TTC. I too would love to even up my family with twin boys but would also love to experience a single pregnancy. What am I wishing for OMG. OMG. OMG.

JEN ~ so glad you were able to get hold of the ego wash. I hope it works. My girls have had no problems with it at all the only down side is it isn't "no more tears"

LISA ~ I have the same thing to do or not to do the DNA. I found the same place $165.00 but most places charge $300. I was so sure that my girls are not identical although so many people say that they are. To me they are so unbelievably different although I can see similarities. I think I will bite the bullet, save up and finally know for sure!!!!

US ~ TIAHNA TOOK 12 STEPS TODAY...... AND i MISSED IT!!!!!
sad.gif But it was o.k because my Mum got to see it first. I have seen her take 5.. but 12... OMG. Today we went to prestart for our house. I was sooooo sure of my colour scheme until we sat in the office. Then the uncertainties set in and so we had to head back out to the tile place and reselect. I am such a WOMAN !!!!!! and because of that... I have the right to change my mind at any hour of the day without any further question !!!! LOL. DP just laughed at me which was great seeming we went to prestart from 9.30am til 5pm. Woops. But I think we got it right. Fingers crossed.BEWARE.. the following story is not for the faint hearted.... On Thursday night DP got up at 2am to do a dummy run (god bless him) and he walked straight into the heater and ripped his big toe nail off. I bet you all just shuddered!!!!! it is horrible. He is off work for a week. I have never seen anything like it. It was only left connected at the base .
well that is a huge novel for me. Hope you all have a wonderful sleep AND HOPE i DIDN'T SQUIRM TOO MANY BELLIES

Sorry I haven't been in here much............I have anough problems keeping up in the April thread.

Brodie and Oscar are doing well. Oscar has seen the specialist for his eczema and is on the road to clear skin.............yeah. Though we will still have to deal with the flare ups.
Brodie is just Brodie..........my big tubby. But he has a cold at the moment and is not such a happy bub!

I can't beleive they are nearly five months. have a good day and I will be in again later.

Hi all,

Jen - I love your posts, they are great to read and Shelby and Finn are so cute, I'm sure as time goes there will be more and more stories about their antics. Glad to hear that their skin is getting better.

Rach - I know what you mean about looking at your twins and crying, I do. It is amazing, to see these two little people that you created. I hope my girls will be best friends as well.

Haylie - Happy Birthday original.gif Yes Farex
is very tasteless, but suprisingly you do start getting a taste for it, I mix it with Banana for the girls and it is not bad, now my girls will not have it by itself, they really screw up their faces. Also by the way thanks for the hint on Baby Einstein..Chloe and Mia really love it, now when I start it they stop moving about and just stare at the screen. They can't quite watch it all the way through yet without moving, but are getting there.

Jodi - Hope the DP's toe is on the mend...and hopefully you don't have to run around him too much. I also agree with you that you can chnage your mind as much as you like.

Us - well not much to say, except for getting stressed out about moving, I have found out that we get back from NZ on the 26th Sep and then will be moving on the 5th Oct. Nothing like a mad rush, am just pleased that we get packers and cleaners, so I only really have to pack for us all for a few weeks until our furniture turns up and we find somewhere to live.

Chloe and Mia are doing great, trying so hard to crawl both of them are on their hands and kness rocking but just can't get the limbs to move....I'm just hoping that it won't be until we move, don't want to have to get gates for only a couple of weeks.

Anyway I better dash.

Anna

Hi all!
Wow how quickly a week flies by!
RachieD- I have just joined Weight Watchers too. Watching your weight zip down each time I log in is very inspiring. A girl from my AMBA grp was wanting to join and I think it's just the motivation I need! I agree with the tears when I watch my 2 gorgeous babies, how lucky we are.
Haylie- Hope you had a great bday! Did you do anything exciting? Thanks for the PM, I am in the process of downloading (uploading? See what a technophobe I am original.gif) pics, so I will have some happening very soon, thanks!! Hope the hearing test part 2 goes ok & that Brooklen & Hayden are sleeping well in their own cots.
Mel- yay Ryan. Hope that 3am wakeup was a once-off..
Jodi- Hope your DH's toe is ok, yep my belly did flop a little at the thought!
Rachel- Not good to hear Brodie has a cold, hope he is feeling better.
Jen- yay a sleep-in! Good luck getting into the course, I am sure you'll have no trouble, they are very keen to have 'mature age' (ie people not straight out of high school) do teaching courses.
Anna - based on your suggestion of banana, I have taken the plunge and started Isabel and Jessica on solids. We tried Farex 3 days ago (needless to say it ended up being projectile-spat on the floor in disgust) and so yesterday & today I added banana and they LOVE it. I can't believe Chloe and Mia are so close to crawling, how exciting (if you weren't moving house)!

Us - Busy week, everyone's birthday seems to be this week and next so we are little party animals at the moment. Started solids 3 days ago & they are loving the banana. I will have to get organised now and puree some apples or something more adventurous this weekend. I have a 'starting solids' workshop next week - better late than never - maybe they'll inspire me to be more creative! Jessica is rolling around everywhere & Isabel laughs out loud when it happens. Too cute.
They have also started to throw major tantrums for no apparent reason too! I think maybe because we've been so busy and I've pushed the 'wake time' a little, now they seem to lose it at the drop of a hat. I hope after a day at home or 2 they'll go back to their happy selves. Fingers crossed.
Sorry for such a long post!

2 Bubba's - No worries on the BE tip!! Hayden and Brooklen Love it! I will try the Banana with the Farex soon. I wanted to try and keep it plain jane for a week or so and let them get used to the whole chewing issue. (well slurping) LOL

Lisa - No drama's with the Pics! Hopefully we will see you with the dummy run posting one soon.

Jen - I dont know if I am in time or not - But GOOD LUCK!! Hope to hear all about it later. How exciting for you.

Jodi - How is Dp's toe? turned me off my cuppa last night LOL!! Hope all is well. I used it against DH saying that he could at least do the dummy run at 1pm!!! Without the foot injury though LOL
You can change your mind about anything and I am sure it will be fantastic - the biggest point is that it is yours!!!! Colours are the minor issue, having Madelyn, Tiahna and your loving partner there with you in the new home is more than you will care about the colour LOL.....So what colours sis you pick - Hopefully not Gold and Black!!! LMAO

Gracie - love the Tubby comment, I am sure he is not tubby! Little darling. Do you have any new pics of Oscar and Brodie???

How about we all add a new pic of our double love bundles!!!!! LOL

Here is Hayden & Brooklen (my weekly favourite LOL)

Hope you are all well - I have to go and wake up my babies!!!! Swimmind sure tires them out LOL
