Hello ladies.

I just wanted to check whether anyone else started leaking around 20 weeks. I know with singletons it's normal in the last few weeks of pregnancy, but this seems a bit excessive!

Here's hoping it bodes well for breastfeeding...

I started to collect the colostrum at about 20 weeks. I was still breastfeeding my middle son until I was 16 weeks and then it changed back to colostrum. In my twin bible I was reading during the pregnancy, someone recommended collecting the milk and putting it into express bags 10mls at a time. I went to hosptial with over 50 of these bags as as my bubs were in nicu and special care being tube fed, I had enough milk to keep them going until my real milk came in. There was no way in the world I wanted them to have any formula so this was the best thing I did. The midwives were so impressed and I would not have had anywhere near that much if I had to express it for them after they were born.

Good Luck

Christie ~ I was the same...started leakking from 18 weeks or so. That was an early morning phone call to Mum!! LOL - what is this happening to me already!! I was able to express the 120 mls they needed for each feed in one sitting from one breast! Oh the fun....Stock up on those J&J breast pads!
