I'm currently expecting baby number 2, we have already decided on a boys name but are having trouble with the girls. Leigh is a middle name that DH wants as it's a family name (I'm not yet sold on the idea). DD1 is Emily Margaret L (three syllable Italian name) and we are considering:
Stella Leigh
or
Grace Leigh
What do you think?

Not much help - I like them both!!

Though I do think Emily and Grace 'go' best together...
Good luck!

I like Stella, I dislike Grace.
Stella Leigh is a little bit of a tongue twister with all the Ls, but not too bad.

Stella Leigh.
Was Margaret also a family name?

Stella Leigh has too many l and e sounds...kind of mushes together!

I love Stella, but with Leigh it's a little too much for me.
Stella Grace?

I agree that Stella lee is too hard to say and too many L's .
Grace is far to popular for me and a bit meh to me now.

Yes Margaret is a family name on my side so DH wants to even things out

. I see what you mean about the L's, the thing is I really like Stella so I might have to change DH's mind.

i like them both, but if i had to choose i would say Stella Leigh, yes it is a bit of a tongue twister but how often are you going to say her full name?

Stella is a gorgeous name, but like others have said, too many L's with Leigh and your surname.

You may not say the full name often, but I think it's still important for the names to flow and sound nice together. Have I read right that your surname starts with L too? If yes, then I wouldn't use Stella at all, especially not with Leigh in the middle. Way too much.

I prefer Stella, but Stella Leigh is a bit funny sounding. I'd go Stella Grace.

What about a middle name with Leigh in it such as
Stella Ashleigh
Stella Kayleigh
Stella Everleigh
Stella Kirraleigh
Stella Brynleigh
Bel Rowley

I love Stella, I can get past the middle name not going so well if it means having such a fabulous first name.

Grace Leigh sounds weird like Grace(ful)Leigh Gracefully...
I like Stella more, but I still don't love it with Leigh, but it's not terrible.

I like Grace better than Stella. I think Grace is a beautiful name. But looks like I'm one of the few on here who prefer this name!

Exactly!
I also really dislike the name Grace, overused in every way.

I think both first names are lovely but neither is any good with Leigh as a middle name. If you must have one of the two, I think I'd go for Grace, especially with a sibing Emily.

I prefer Stella. I think you can find a better middle name than Leigh, but its definately not a bad combo.

I love both names, but I love Grace a bit more. Leigh as a mn, sounds odd with both names.

Another vote for Stella. I also like the idea of including Leigh in the middle name, though some of the options look really "forced."
Stella Ashleigh [Surname] would be lovely.
