Hadassah.

with spelling haddasah

This is not a name i have picked,i do not like it at all.
Parents are blue eyed pale people, and last name will be very italian.
I just do not think this name suits whatsoever, but its not my baby.
Tell me what you think,is it just me being picky or does this name really not suit. wink.gif

Unless there is going to be a genetic kick-back of beautiful rich mediteranian olive skin, dark eyes and black hair... no.... that name doesn't suit...
fifi-trixibelle
Why they changed the spelling is the thing that's worrying me most.
Cranky Old Woman
I've never heard of it, have no idea how to pronouce it correctly and think it looks horrible. But that's just me.
mrsjessop
Is it a Hebrew name? Boy or girl?
Gudrun
Love Hadassa/Hadassah. Would expect Hadassa to be Jewish.
Bel Rowley
Something about it I find really harsh, but as Fifi said it's the spelling that's the big problem.
little lion
If the baby's heritage is the same as the name, then I don't mind it. From a quick internet search, the spelling they used is recognised and means myrtle in Hebrew. So if the parents have some link to Hebrew language or culture, then I think it fits fine. I wouldn't say because a baby (or its parents) have a certain skin or hair colour that a name isn't suitable. In mixed race couples, you're never sure how a baby will turn out. wink.gif
