Hello,
Am going to treat myself with some ballet flats from Country Road. I cannot decide between the black and khaki coloured ones so would love others to say which ones they would buy...
here is the khaki one:

http://shop.countryroad.com.au/productimag...0_6295_2891.jpgthey are both the same price. So which would you pick??

What do you plan on wearing them for?

If you have the number of outfits to make it work, the khaki is cute and you can always find another good looking pair of black shoes later down the track.
I don't really have enough clothes for the khaki to tone with but they look nice.
Black is bomb-proof. But its also a little bit boring.
I wear a tremendous amount of black. So there's that.
Aren't I a big help.

I'm inclined to say that everywhere sells black ballet flats at the moment. If it was me I'd get the khaki ones and then buy a pair of cheaper black ones for when the khaki just didn't go with an outfit, etc

I was going to say I'd probably buy 2 pairs for the same price at Rubi. They'd probably fall apart sooner, though.

Khaki definitely.
Black is so ........ well ...... black LOL.
I just bought myself a red pair from Diana Ferrari on the weekend at half the retail price. It's my most daring colour purchase so far but I'm trying to step out of my comfort zone this winter. It goes great with all my black and navy outfits.

In that style I would go the khaki - the suede looks smart.
Black shoes are v handy, but would get a different (and more interesting) style if just sticking with plain black.

I'd pick whichever was going to match my clothes. But, with my clothing, I'd pick the khaki, as most of my clothing is warm coloured.

Oh thank you so much everyone! Seems like the khaki is the most popular choice.
I have two pairs of black pants (one denim and one more casual) two pairs of jeans, and a khaki pair of pants to wear this winter so I guess the khaki would go with most of those?
I usually buy only black ever but really liked the khaki. They are not as expensive as I expected ($90) and by far the cheapest I have found. They have another style I like much more but they were $120 which is too much for me.
Thanks so much again, it's great to get others opinions.

Khaki - a nice neutral colour that goes with a lot. You can get black anywhere.

I'd love a pair of ballet flats, but they all seem to shoe toe cleavage which I hate! If I'm paying near $100 on shoes I want enough leather to cover my toes properly, damn it! I'd be boring and go black. I'm looking for a pair myself, not tried Country Road, but I might this week!
Red would be great too lol.

I have been looking for a long time for ballet flats too, they all are lacking something but these ones I really love. they do show some toe cleavage (love that!) but they are gorgeous though and a great price considering the price of others.
I love these ones too, look horrible on the shelf, but on they look great and so soft with no "cleavage"

If you will mostly wear with jeans or other neutrals I'm with pp's and would go khaki. If you wear alot of black or don't have any other black shoes go black.

http://shop.countryroad.com.au/productimag..._13676_2754.jpgCameo I have a few pairs of those flats and love them. They change the colours each season and put them on sale so have black suede, electric blue leather and a dark silvery black suede.

http://shop.countryroad.com.au/productimag..._13676_2754.jpgI have these ones in black leather and (hate to say it) they are the most uncomfortable shoe EVER!! Would never buy these again. The elastic at the back digs in to the back of the foot and actually leaves a dent. I persisted but to no avail. I now use them as flip flops around the house!!

Does anyone know if they are having their 25% off sale anytime soon?

I have quite skinny feet and the Country Road ballet flats (the pair linked most recently) are one of the few shoes that actually fit my feet well (without having to buy shoes that are too small just so they don't fall off when I walk). I buy at least a couple of pairs each year.
I did have one pair that hurt my heels, but the other pairs I bought at the same time didn't. They softened with time.

I almost bought a pair of black last year, but they weren't that comfortable and very boring looking I thought.
Instead I bought (from DJ's) but you can get online a pair of
https://www.walnutmelbourne.com/sale/ballet...t-elastic-blackI wore them to death, SO comfortable and looked great.

Me either. Bought a pair of ballet flats the other day for $15 at a dodgy little shoe shop and they are great! But I'm lucky and seem to have easy-to-fit feet.
OP, I really like the khaki, but the black would fit better with my wardrobe, so I would get the black. Also, suede is not really a great fabric for winter (although I guess you could water-proof them with one of those sprays).

I probably wouldn't wear khaki shoes with khaki pants, not sure about black pants either. Woudl depend on teh tops.
I found the normal style uncomfortable. I bought an elastic pair, they are ok but I had to upsize. I don't find them that comfortable. I am a bit of a nana and prefer the 'airflex' barnd. So comfy and padded, rubber soles too
http://www.betts.com.au/catalogue/womens_a...ts/DREAMY.aspx# more expensive but betts often have sales on
