It seems that the only name DH and I can settle on is Jaxon.
Couple of questions for you lovely ladies - how would you spell it? Obviously I am not too keen on traditional names but noting OTT either....Jaxon or Jaxson?
Can you suggest some middle names???
Our other boys names are in my sig.

I would spell it Jackson unless I was told it was spelt differently

Jaxon!!!
I liked this name but Dh didn't and heaven forbid I suggest the spelling of Jaxon and not Jackson to my DH's family

ETA- I'm normally a very conservative speller too!!

Do NOT do Jaxson. It looks ridiculous. Jaxon is better than Jaxson. But Jackson is way better than both. What's wrong with Jackson?
MNs...Alan? Paul? Thomas? Evan? William? Aubrey? Nathaniel? Vivian? Laurence? Gabriel? Theodore?

With no other option, Jaxon is better than Jaxson.

What about Saxon? That goes pretty well with your other kids' names. And it's much more interesting than any of the variants of Jackson.

I would spell it Jackson.

I can't see why you wouldn't go with Jackson -- the child at least won't be spelling his name out for everybody his entire life.
If it must be one of the two spellings with 'x', definitely 'Jaxon'. The 's' in the other one is completely redundant.

Jaxon is our pick - someone suggested the other to us and I also thought it looked terrible.
TBH there is nothing wrong with Jackson - I just don't like how it looks, can't really pinpoint why. So far none of the middle name suggestions are jumping out at me.
Thought I might mention the boys middle names - not sure if it will help.

eta: I think it is interesting how people bring up about children having to spell their names for their lives. I have very traditional middle names and still have to spell them to everyone. I also have to spell my other boys names and I don't think any of them are overly unique.

Jackson would be ideal, but I'm not un-keen on Jaxon.
Jaxson is very bogan uneek IMO.

I would spell it correctly - Jackson.
Changing the spelling doesn't make the name more interesting or unique.

You know it's funny, I hate creative spellings or adding an extra letter in here or there.
But Jaxon to me seems more normal to Jackson

Must be because I grew up knowing a Jaxon and so to me that's the norm. I would actually spell it Jaxon if someone told me that that was their name

Same here, except that I don't know of any Jaxons or Jacksons...
I'm actually ultra conservative about names, but with this one, I actually prefer Jaxon. Jackson to me is a surname! And I actually wouldn't have thought that you'd have to spell it all the time either...
Not sure I can help with a middle name though as my taste is quite different to yours...

Only Jackson. I cannot bare Jaxon and does not look like a real name to me. Jackson is lovely though.
Middle names are a bit tricky

I like the traditional spelling. Your sons' names are unusual but have traditional spellings so Jackson would go well with them.

Jaxon is an awesome name. I don't like the way the traditional spelling looks either!
I would have it on our list if it flowed nicely with our surname but sadly it doesn't.
Middle names possibly
James
Robert
David
Daniel
Adam

Jackson, it's more professional and classic.
I don't like Jaxon at all, Jaxson is even worse.

I read a book once with a character named Jaxom so the name Jaxon to me doesn't seem weird and I agree that it looks more like a first name than Jackson which to me is more of a surname.
Don't put the s in it, please.

Agreed -- I would go with Jackson as well.
But if you are set on Jaxon, I really like dea-gu's suggestions, and I would not go with any kr8tive spellings on the middle name (no Blaque for Blake):
Jackson/Jaxon James sounds totally bad@ss (in a good way)
Jackson/Jaxon Emmett. Elliott would also be nice.
Jackson/Jaxon Blake or Drake.
Good luck with your decision!

I don't get the whole spelling names phonetically or unusually. I understand that we all want our kids to be individuals and stand out from the crowd but in these days of generally poor spelling levels why make your kid have to spell his name every time someone needs to write it down.

If you're not going to use Jackson, use Jaxon. Jaxson is not good.

Yes, I totally agree, use Jaxon. Jaxson does look a bit strange.
This is the only name that my partner and I have agree on if and when we do decide to have a baby and it turns out to be a boy. I would love to spell it Jaxon but my partner is against it and wants it to be spelt "Jackson" so I gave in and agree that we will spell it his way.

I agree. I would only consider Jackson. Jaxon and Jaxson both make me cringe - sorry.
