[color=Teal]For the last month or so both our boys have started a new habit of taking off everything from the waist down! They'll do it during the day, but it happens mostly when I put them down for their afternoon nap. I'll go in to check on them and they're laying there totally naked from the waste down, and there'll be little puddles of wee on the floor (thankfully we haven't had any nastier accidents so far!).

I remember reading somewhere that one mother used to use nappy pins on the disposable nappies so that her kids couldn't take them off (which I'm about to try tomorrow), but does anyone have any ideas about what I can do for the removal of their clothes?!?! DH suggested we buy them overalls, but I'm really not all that keen on them, plus I reckon the boys will just get their arms through them and take them off anyway!!

HELP!!! ;p

Vanessa wink.gif

PS. We don't have any trouble with this at night as the boys wear all-in-one PJ's that zip up the front and they can't get out of them! Tounge1.gif

KristyMum-
Hi
I'm not a Multiple's Mum but DS1 used to do the same but w all his clothes... a little trail of clothes followed him w/ever he went. This was fine in summer but in the middle of winter... so one day, after trying everything, I fully dressed him, trackies, jumper etc and then the magical item... a bodysuit over the top of the lot! lol! (singlet that does up w press studs in the crotch). He wasn't strong enough to undo the studs!
Yes it looked bizarre but it worked and we weren't going out so it didn't matter! And he stayed warm finally! woohoo!

Also I know you can get wondersuit style outfits w the press studs on the back, so unless they undo each other's this could help...?

If not, they will grow out of it - at least until they're older and their mates dare them to streak lol! - not much help that one... do they have a poo b4 or after their sleep usually?

It drives you crazy doesn't it? And my daughter thinks it's hilarious! I dressed her in overalls and she couldn't get out of them for a while. Then I thought of bodysuits (as suggested above) but I found it tricky to find ones big enough. She's stopped doing it at the moment so I just dress her 'normally' now. Sorry I can't be of more help as I know how frustrating this can be! Good luck,
Maycee

Hi,
My DD does this too and like yours, she couldn't get out of her all in one that she wears at night, so each after noon she climbs back into her all in one for a sleep and then gets dresed into day clothes again :-)

Sorry guys but I laughed so hard when I saw this thread once again..

My girls became little picasso's and painted the walls..they do this whe they're bored now or to irritate me but I for once am one step ahead of them at last!!

at the absolute end of my tether i turned their nappies around, and put them in button up overalls.
What an absolute pain but it's been about 7mths since they have painted..

It didn't matter how many millions of clothes I put on them they'd work it out.

I tried every single thing people suggested but the overalls have resolved our problem, thankgod cause pineoclean and domestos were getting very expensive.

Overalls aren't always anyone's choice but if it saves you headaches I'd give it a go.

Otherwise I just let them run around and clean up the occasional mess, that also saved all of us having tantrums. It wasn't me giving in, it was just giving me peace.

Vanessa,

Unfotunately I have no advice for you and hope some of these tips work. I just can't get over how challenging twins are and are amazed at how well they work together to do things.

mother68 - you gave me a good laugh too it seems your girls keep you on your toes too LOL!(glad mine aren't the only ones up to mischief)

Well I'm not at the laughing stage yet!

I have been battling this prob since about Oct-Nov last year!

My girls take EVERYTHING off at every chance they have. I have tried all the things others have said, but nothing works. Now they are toilet trained, it's knickers instead of nappies.

I have tried all sorts of approaches. My girls are older, so they understand totally what they are doing is wrong. But they continue to do it. It's cold, so I can't let them run around with no clothes on.

I now, make them stay in their room until they have redressed.

Another thing you could try is putting a cloth nappy over the top & do it up at the back or use a snappy nappy. It took my 2 a while to work out how to get it off.

I think one of the reasons my 2 are still doing this a lot is b/c they KNOW it gets up my nose! They do it when they are bored & want attention. So maybe TRY not to make a big deal of it.

PM if you want or it's not improving (not that I have ANY answers, I can just sympathize).

[color=Teal]Oh girls, isn't this problem a shocker!! I know there could be far worse things for me to be worrying about, but for now this is driving me crazy!! :gasp:

MelissaK, I too have been putting the boys in to their all-in-one PJ's for their afternoon nap. They still destroy their room, but at least there's no little puddles around the place!! Tounge1.gif

I might go out tomorrow and see what overalls are in the shops!

I tell you, between the clothes/nappies being removed, destroying their bedroom at every opportunity and climbing over the safety fence between the lounge/kitchen, I honestly don't know which way to turn at the moment!! blush.gif PLEASE someone tell me this is just a phase!! wink.gif

Oh Vanessa

I soo hear you on this one. When our DD's went into beds, it was almost hell on earth here. They would destroy their room as well!

They STILL if given the chance, take heaps of clothes out of their cupboards. They leave them in a big pile or spread them all over the room.
Their clothes are locked in the cupboard, but if I forget to lock it with the key, they make a mess. I got so sick & tired of picking up all the clothes that I took everything out of their drawers. Now they are older, we just have tantrums over what they are going to wear .

My started weeing & pooing on the floor as babies & given the chance they still do it. Like I'd take them both out of the bath & while I was dressing one the other would wee on the floor! Now they are toilet trained they don't do that, they save it for when they are in time out & do it then!

As I said, we are still really struggling with keeping them in clothes. They love undressing & running around with nothing on. Last week Danika was in a puddle in the nude telling me she was "swimming".

I can relate to the climbing as well. Are you sure our kids are not related! Your boys sound just like my girls!

I can say that it DOES get better! The climbing does settle down. Mine have got better with all that stuff now they are doing other things to drive me crazy LOL. I find that they do all this when they want my attention & when they are bored. Sounds easy to fix, but it's NOT! I found that after they hit 2, it did get better.

Hope they learn to keep their clothes on & give you a bit of a break original.gif

[color=Teal]Oh Belinda, thank you so much for saying it does get better! I really hope that's the case with our 2!! wink.gif
