WDYT of
Rowan?
I'm a bit 'meh' on it, but all our childrens names have been compromises, so what's yet another compromise

.
Siblings are Oliver and Miles.
My preferred choice is Theodore (Theo or Teddy).

Meh for me too. Goes well with the others though. Prefer Theodore by quite a bit. Would love just Theo.

It's not bad, but I prefer Theodore by far.

I like Rowan, but prefer it spelt Rohan.

I really like Rowan and much prefer it to Theodore. I also think it suits your other children's names better.

Rowan for a girl or a boy? I have worked with a Rowan-female and currently work with a Rowan-male....
I like it for a male name, not so much for a female name....
lovin it

I really like it. It's nice and strong yet simple

I prefer Rohan. I like it because I know a Rohan and he is just lovely..... such a nice guy, gorgeous to his wife and kids and a surgeon to boot!

One of my brothers is Rowan, I prefer it to Rohan, as I know a Rohan as well, and he does get aggravated by people pronouncing it Ro-Han.
It does seem to be regarded as more of a girl's name these days, but I think it is a masculine name personally. I like it!

I like it. But that is DS's name so I'm possibly biased. We chose the spelling Rowan over Rohan simply because of pronunciation issues, but a lot of older people assume that it's RoHan.

My first crush was a Rohan. I prefer it spelled that way. It's a lovely name.

I really like Rohan. Surely everyone knows how to pronounce this? Do you really need to do the Rowan thing?
I also love Theodore.
So uoi are on a winner either way

What do you mean 'do the Rowan thing'? With a 'w' is a legitimate spelling, not a dumbed down cre8tive version.
Rohan looks odd with our surname.
I'm still really 'meh' about it, so I bet that is what he is named!

I like it.
I can't talk my husband around to Roweena for a girl, but I like Rowan for a boy.
Rohan is an Irish name and Rowan is a tree, I thought. Are they even pronounced the same? (I suck, sorry). I like Rowan better honestly, but then I'm a huge mark for botanical names, especially since masculine ones are underused.

Ours too. What other names do you really like? Perhaps there's a compromise in there that your DH would agree to.

Love it - but I'm biased too as it is DS2's name. We went with the English spelling (Rowan) as we are from England originally.
I'm a big fan of the name Miles too - have it on a short list if we have another boy.

I love it.
It's the name of a gorgeous friend of mine who was hit by a car and died in his teens. He was a lovely person!

I have always loved this name for a girl but have had to accept that it is now more a boy's name. I really love it though and love Owen too.
Re spelling I think Rowan is the more conventional way.

Naming children is a massive compromise in our household Riotproof! eg. DS2 - I wanted Fergus, DH wanted Rafferty, we ended up with Miles (wtf!

).
From looking on Behind The Name, Rowan is the anglicised Irish/English version, and Rohan is the Indian version.
Honestly, if this baby was a girl, it would be so easy to name her. I cried when I found out he was another boy, not because I was upset about having 3 boys, but because I knew how hard it would be to find a name we could both live with - yet again.

Do you want an Irish name in particular or not? For some reason, when I read Fergus, I thought of Seamus or Angus. Or Julian? I think that's underused. Like pp I'm fond of Owen as well. Ryan? Simon?

Oh my! We have the same here. Am thrilled to have a boy, but we're struggling for a name and I'm 38wks.
