Hi
3 weeks to go and counting and we are both pretty set on
Milla Violet pronounced mill-a
Ive never met a boy Miller, but see it on the forum and wonder do you think it's more a girls name or boys name?
I have a few friends with kids names that i find quite unisex and wonder if people might think Milla is more suited for a boy. Eden for example i just love for a girl but friends think its more a boys name. ( Eden is not on my list though DH doesnt like it! just an example)
So hard to get my hubby to agree on any name and this one he really likes.
Love it hate it? I think Charlize, Cohen and Milla go well together.

I love your name style. I always like Charlize and was considering this as our girl name but DH doesn't like it. I also adore Milla and Cohen. I don't like Miller though.

Milla sounds like a girls name to me, and such a beautiful name too! If I ever had a girl I would consider Milla as well.

It's like Peter and Peta. No difference in pronunciation in the Australian accent but if you ask an American they are different sounding names. I like it and it goes great with your other children's names.

Thanks everyone
I know Milla is the girl spelling and Miller the boy but they are pronounced the same thats why i wondered if you heard the name out loud would you think girl or boy?
I think its more girlie.

Mila (with one l) is my dd2's nickname, I love it.

I definitely think it's a girly name, it reminds me of the actresses Milla Jovovich (5th element, Resident Evil) and Mila Kunis (black swan, that 70's show).
I think it's a lovely name

My eldest DD is Jemilla...if you wanted something slightly different with the NN Milla or Jem.

I'm American, so Milla sounds like a girl's name and Miller sounds like cheap unpleasant college-kid beer.
ITS MILLER TIME.

I think Milla is a very pretty name. Our Furbaby is Millie and I also know an Amelia (who is Milla for short) and she is adorable.

If I saw the name I would pronounce it as Me-laa, rather than Miller

I think it's lovely and would pronounce them slightly differently:
ie Milla- Meela (slight prolongation of the middle part only)
and Miller- Mill- er

I think they go well together. If I heard the name out loud I would assume girl as that is more common. The same as if I heard Peter/Peta I would assume boy.

We have a Miller and the ER on the end is always pronounced if that makes sense? He goes to daycare with a girl, Milla, and it is always pronounced softer.
la di dah, thanks for that input. Not rude at all, although if you met our Miller, that catchphrase would probably suit one of his (regular) 2yo tanties.....

Ditto, I would pronounce them slightly differentl but maybe because I have a lot of European friends. I think its lovely for a girl.
