Hi all,

We have been TTC for a few years now and have been seeing a Dr since last year. Initially, I was told to focus on reducing / maintaining weight and PCOS, and that Ovulation Induction can be considered later.
During my appt in late march, the Dr has finally agreed on Ovulation Induction and Clomid is prescribed.

I am excited and apprehensive at the same time. I have been reading on Clomid and am aware the it may take a number of cycles before one gets pregnant. I am prepared for this as well.
I don't want to get my hopes too high...

Having moved here from another country, I don't have close friends here and wanted to share this news with someone.

thanks for listening (reading).

After 12 months of trying with no success, but due to a different problem than you, I found ovulation induction very satisfying. It was satisfying having the scans watching my follicle grow, satisfying being able to pinpoint the time of ovulation and track everything clearly, and satisfying that the clinic nurses were keeping an eye on things. I actually became pregnant on the first cycle but unfortunately had a miscarriage. We are trying again this cycle. Wishing you luck!

Best of luck with the ovulation induction. I have unexplained infertility and have been TTC for 3 years though have had 3 m/c in that time. My FS wants us to try for 3 more months and then he will do OI. I have recently had a laparoscopy and had my tubes flushed and have started Aspirin to try and help conceiving. We have tried IVF but didnt get a BFP but fell pregnant naturally straight after. FS feels that we just need that 'boost' to out fertility. I am hesitant to recommence IVF at the moment and OI seems a cheaper option. Could I please ask anyone that has done it a few questions:
What does it involve?
How much does it cost?
And I am wondering why the FS feels it is an option as I ovulate regularly on my own and this is why he wont prescibe Clomid
Thanks in advance
Megan
