we were set on freya grace for a girl - still got ages to go but thought it would take us a loooong time to agree on anything so better to start early!

dp no 1 is still freya
but we also like eva and nahla

i have had a thread on eva vs freya and was pretty even but what do you think of nahla grace. dd name is pretty different so need something to fit with it! (dont really want to post her name on here)

thanks in advance
Amanda_R
I prefer Freya to Nahla. I think Nahla has a tendency to sound whiney and nasal with the Australian accent.
fifi-trixibelle
I'm not keen on Nahla at all. Eva is gorgeous though.
Maple Leaf
Nahla looks funny spelt like that? Maybe Nala is better? I don't know...I prefer Freya.
spellfall
I think Freya Grace sounds more interesting than Eva Grace, though both are nice.

Don't like Nahla much.
PippityPip
LOVE it!! wub.gif We had Nahla on our list for DD2. We were torn between spelling it either Nala or Nahla though.

Freya & Eva are also lovely.
RedsGirl
I just think Halle Berry everytime I see Nahla.

I really like Freya tthumbs.gif

The only Nahla's I know are dogs. I know 3 of them. Oh, and Nahla on the Lion King movie. I didnt even know it was a human name until Halle Berry named her daughter that.
Monroe
I really like Nahla original.gif

Same. Much prefer Eva or Freya.
Craptacular
I much prefer Freya or Eva.

To me Nahla Grace sounds like a hospital. I don't know why.
redkris
I like Freya best, but re Nahla, how about the name Nuala? There was a female newsreader here in Adelaide with that name and I've always liked it.

Me too, and I've never liked the name - it sounds quite harsh, and always reminds me of the words gnarl and gnarly. I don't mind Nuala as an alternative, however.

Freya and Eva are infinitely better than Nahla though - both beautiful, strong and feminine names.

LOVE Nahla wub.gif
I think that spelling helps people pronounce it too.

Nahla Grace is lovely!!!

Naaaaahhhhlaaaaa could sound a bit nasally. But it's so pretty and elegant. As is Freya.
tres-chic
I far prefer Freya too.
bes.
LOVE it! original.gif

Nah... not a fan of Nahla. Love Grace. Also like the PP's suggestion of Nuala.
MnM
I ADORE the name Freya, Eva is nice too.

Nahla.... isn't in the same league!
ohboy
Love Narla or maybe Nala but not spelt Nahla.

Freya is very nice
QueenOfTheDesert
I prefer Freya or Eva to Nahla.

If you have a boy you can call him 'Simba'... original.gif

First of all if you want different I would not consider Eva or Freya. They both seem quite common to me nowadays.

To date I would expect there to be far fewer Nala's. Nala has definite appeal and I would spell it like this.

I'd rethink the Grace bit I think. To me it looks like you tried really hard for a different first name and then got a bit scared so decided to put a very common MN in there. If it's a family name keep it, otherwise I would try and look for something a little less common for the MN.

Really like the suggestion of Nuala. 'N' is a great letter for girls' names!

Stick with Freya Grace - its devine.

Nahla Grace is definately not a bad name though.
Hairy Maclary
I like Nahla, and I have a soft spot for Grace original.gif
There is the potential for it to be nasally.
I like Eva too, was on my shortlist (but not DH's sigh)
Becca3
I liked Freya and Eva much more than Nahla. With a certain Australian accent Nahla could sound terrible.

Me three.

I much prefer Freya to Nahla.

Freya was on my list, but I'm having another boy. Another favourite of mine is Priya. Priya Grace maybe?
MamaP
Surprisingly I actually quite like the name Nahla- although ti's not the sort of name I usually would like! I think Nahla Grace is pretty.

I love the name Freya and we're considering it for DD2 - it is definitely becoming more popular though.

Not so keen on Eva and I think this is probably the most common out of all your names.

Good luck!
vanessa71
Of the three names, my preference is for Eva, but I am not overly keen on it. I dislike Grace, it's far too common as both a first and middle name.

~THE~MAGICIAN~
I don't like Ngala, sorry.

Love love Eva and Freya is okay.
