I thought I'd start a thread where we can all share the funny/cute/heartwarming things our multiples do.

I have two heartwarming moments to share. original.gif

I had to do my grocery shopping on Friday night, so I went to get changed down in the bedroom, and when I walked back into the lounge room, Joshy looked at me and said, “Pretty mummy.” How gorgeous is that?!! It absolutely melted my heart.

Then on Saturday, Mark was setting the table, he said to Mark, “Sit Mummy?” Which means can I sit next to mummy? Mark said he could and Josh said, “Lucky boy”!!

My girls hugged each other for the first time the other day... it was so cute!Û original.gif And I found them "sharing" some chewed up pieces of TV guide too...Josie was biting pieces off, chewing them, then passing them to Hannah to have a go!!!! I had to laugh!

I think everything they do is wonderful...but I can't share it all!@

Awww - too cute guys!
We had an evening "good night" routine/ritual here that involves Hayden and Brooklen getting kisses off everyone and told they love them. After that they are put into the cot. We have always put either Hayden to Brooklens cheek for a kiss or vice versa. Ebony caught this kodak kiss for us original.gif Brooklen licked Haydens face that much he laughed for the very first time ~ many heartwarming moments all in the space of 2 mins!! Thought I would share the good night slobber pic....LOL ;p

Oh Haylie, I can't see your pic sad.gif We have a great video of our 2 having a big snogging session when they are about 7 months or so. The giggles still crack me up. We are saving it for their 21st to really embarrass them.

They are really into simultaneous twirling until they fall over at the moment which is so funny to watch! Their other new favourite is feeding each other their dinner, they think its hilarious, I think its messy (but cute). My favourite though is watching one try and comfort the other when she is upset - with a pat on the back, a hug or offering her sister the toy she is playing with or a bite of her food. SO sweet.

edited to add: Oh hang on, its working now - v cute!!

Holding hands, dosen't matter where they are - pram, (separate seats), couch, floor, since they were old enough to know they had hands they hold hands if they possibly can. They love staring and giggling at each other and become totally absorbed. Sooooo Cute original.gif

Haylie - Love the photo of Brooklen and Hayden original.gif We do that to.

I love watching them interact. When they were crawling, Eleanor would crawl and wait for Harriet who would kneel behind her, holding on to her back and they'd scoot around the floor like a train, laughing their heads off. They really look out for each other. When I give a drink or food to one, they'll take it to their sister first and then come back for their own. And they hate seeing their sister upset. The other day Harriet hurt her hand and was crying. Eleanor brought her a ball to play with to try to make her feel better. I always end up having to comfort both the one who's hurt and the one who's worried.

I love listening to the girls "talking", squealing and laughing to each other in their cots in the evening and morning - I wonder what they think they're saying??

They've only just worked out which is which - until a while ago if I asked "where's Harriet?" or "where's Eleanor?" they'd both point at each other at the same time.

I'm so in love with those 2 little girls - I could go on and on.

What a great idea for a thread!

The thing that always makes me smile is when one is upset and the other comes up and gives them a cuddle and says "you okay, darling? you okay." Ella calls people darling a lot! Just this morning Gracie was rather grumpy and upset so Ella went off to their room and brought back a dinosaur for Grace to play with and said "there you go. that cheer [you] up?"

One of the cutest things I can remember is about a year ago, when they were just beginning to really talk a lot. Ella, Grace and I having soup for lunch and Gracie said hers was hot. Ella reached over and got Gracie's bowl and said "I blow for you darling" and blew on it, like she's seen DH and I do. Then she pushed the bowl back and said "that better darling?" very sweet. original.gif

My boys have just started holding hands while they are sitting in the high chairs eating so cute.

They have just started to recognise their names now so when you call them they look. I was so suprised they know their own names already because you do tend to say both of there names at once IYKWIM
My girlfriends think it is great they can finally tell them apart by just saying there names.

I think everything they do is cute except for the DUET WHINGING LOL

I just love to watch Oscar's face light up and the little arms and legs go when I put Brodie down beside him in the cot.

He just gets so excited and then lies there watching him until his eyes slowly close. His big brother by 30 minutes, his protector, his friend original.gif

Yay for Brooklen!! original.gif I'm sure yummy brother won't be far behind. Its gorgeous in Perth today too. Shame none of us are really up to enjoying it. Went to a party last night are all zonked today! I'm the only one awake...

Just had to add a new moment myself. Paige was looking in a mirror and giggling at herself the other day. I asked her who the pretty girl was in the mirror and she replied "Sissy"!

I have a couple of really cute moments.

When the girls were sick a few weeks ago, Danika had a temp. She was laying on the lounge & Kateleigh came up & started running her fingers through her hair saying "it's ok Neeka, it's ok Neeka". She also gave her lots of kisses to help her feel better.

Now they are starting to share. Sometimes Kateleigh will have a toy that Danika wants. Kateleigh will then give it to Danika & say "I finished now, Neeka's turn". It's very cute to see them share.

Also, Danika ALWAYS gives to Kateleigh first. If I am giving them food even yummy food, Danika will give hers to Kateleigh, then come up & get her own. It's like they really look out for each other.

As some of you may know the first year or so of my girl's life I didn't really appreciate the joy of having twins... in fact I hated it and wouldn't have wished it on my worst enemy! But low and behold in the last month or so my girls have suddenly become a joy and I am starting to appreciate that there are some wonderful things about having twins! So here's some of our recent wonderful things...

My girls share really well... well sort of! If Izzy has something Zoe wants Zoe will find something else and try to trade with her. Usually Izzy won't give up the toy for the trade item but Zoe ignores this, grabs the toy shoves the trade item into Izzy's hands and runs!

Zoe will come and ask for a biscuit and I give her one and give her one for Izzy and say 'taa for Izzy' and she'll trot off and give Izzy the biscuit which just melts my heart. Izzy on the other hand really REALLY reeeaaaallly likes biscuits so if I give her one and say 'taa for Zoe' she trots off with good intentions but usually only gets half way before she stops, looks at Zoe, looks at the biscuit and then eats it herself! If I ask her where is Zoe's biscuit she says 'uhoh!.... more!'.

And last but not least my girls are a bit obessed with body parts of late and since there is two of them they are obsessed with each other's body parts and what they can do. The other night they were laying on their tummies face to face poking each other in the eyes and ears and saying 'eyes.. ears' then putting their fingers in each others mouths then all of a sudden I hear shreiks of laughter and there they are, mouths wide open, licking each other's tounges!!! UUUEEEWW GROSS!!!!!!

You gotta love em!

What a great idea for a thread. Makes up for the silly negative comments we have been posting about lately.

All these stories are just priceless, and only us multiple mum's know how special these moments are.

Summer and Taylor do the hand-holding in the highchairs, pram, and wheneve they are close enough to reach. I love the way they discover the house together or if at a friends house they stick together like glue. Summer is the shy timid one but with her brother around she is a different girl.

The thing I find cute atm although makes my heart bleed at the same time, is when I am telling one "no" for some reason (mainly playing with the power cords) and whoever it is bursts into tears, guarenteed, the other one will follow. Actually it happens whenever one sees the other crying.
They have both just started dancing and singing whenever they hear music. So cute to see their own styles, Taylor has the voice of a bird and Summer will need lessons with her gravelly voice.

A couple of recent ones.....

Joel and Cam are in the midst of toilet training so anything the comes out of their bottoms and lands in the toilet is VERY exciting.....we often have one
or the other running through the house.....'Joel, Joel, come and see the big poo Ive done......" Both will then run full pelt back to the toilet to admire the poo produced....."Well done Cam" joel will say.

We often have to tell the boys to stop annoying one another.....Cam was getting told off tonight by DH and Joel turns around and says very innocently "Dad, please stop annoying Cam he's trying to eat his dinner"

Joel still has to master the letter 's'.....he will sometimes say....'mum, Ive got a hore on my finger' :gasp:.....or 'Im wet as a hag'-(shag)

Theyre priceless with the things they say at the moment.

Hi, my heart melted a couple of days ago when out of the blue one of my twin boys said to his brother, "Do you love me Patrick?" To which his brother replied, "Yes I do."
Then they gave each other a big cuddle!!

This is so cute hearing everyone's experiences.Makes us realise how lucky we really are to experience such a special thing.

There are so many things that mine have done as they are inseprable and are always helping and loving each other (well most the time anyway LOL)

This moment was so cute as it involved my friends twin girls as well they are all the same age. Tom was having a nappy change and I had to go get something and there was tom with legs up in the air and Jack showing the girls Toms bottom and they were all having a prod, at the same time Jack was trying to apply the curash as well. It was such a funny sight although won't be so funny when they are 18 LOL

Yesterday we took Tom to the Drs and we sat down as jack walked in he put his hands on his hip and said Tom sick has sore ear.(he was right) and then sat next to him and put his arm around him.

I just love the way twins tend to really look after one another.

Glad you got a laugh! This is a great thread.

Not sure if it sounds worse when Joel says he has a sore on his finger, toe or knee!

Thankfully he's gotten over his stutter and inability to say 'ch' (as in chocolate)-that used to come out as 'cok cok cok hed'....!

Edited to add.....Dh is the main carer for our boys......I was driving the other day with both in the back seat and was waiting for what must have been all of 3 seconds behind a car to get moving.....from the back Cam says in his most irate voice........'COME ON WOMAN!!!!!!!!!'

That is definatly a Dad influence there LOL, we went out for lunch to a pub and Phil took Hayden to the bar with him - we have skimpy's in Kalgoorlie and she was gooing and gaa'ing over him **OMG** with no top on *LMAO*, I dont know what he thought.....

The twins lately have taken to lying down together in the bath - they love it and always end up giggling away for a couple of minutes. Its just so cute to see and had to share. original.gif

nicolie 1
Haylie - he probably thought 'don't know what it is but something about this pub is making me hungry' wink.gif (apologies to the squeamish for that one)

Don't know if today's story really fits here but I couldn't kind a thread called 'Exasperating things they do'! wink.gif

Just when you think you know what they can and can't get into, my 2 learnt how to undo spring top (preserving) jars today :gasp:

Left them happily stacking cans on the kitchen floor while I threw a load of washing on this afternoon, and came back to find them making 'rice angels' on the floor. They had opened the jar (containing ~2kg of rice), tipped it on the floor and were laying on their backs flailing their arms and legs about and laughing their heads off!!

(sigh) Another one for the 'you have to laugh or you'll cry' file... original.giforiginal.giforiginal.giforiginal.gif

I'm sure being 2 of them they egg each other on to get into as much trouble as possible!

On a much cuter note, earlier in the afternoon Paige had Hannah pinned to the ground, lifted her shirt and started blowing raspberries on her belly. Cuuuute.

I write in this thread a lot don't I? Probably coz I think (almost) everything they do is cute.

I went out tonight, and people kept asking me "how are the babies?" and I got more and more upset as the night went on as they turn 18 months old on Friday, and really aren't "babies" anymore sad.gif

Anyhow I digress...last night DH put on some music whilst he tidied up the dinner plates, got twins ready for bed and I was showering DD1. Joe went over to Scarlett, took her hands in his and they started to dance together...bless it was so cute. They have been really aware of each other for a long time, but they are really expressing their love for each other so much in the last week, kissing and cuddling, comforting each other etc.

OK, my turn to add. After a week of snotty noses and coughs, it was time for something cute to happen.

Tonight I put Alicia into her cot and went off to get Sophies cup for her, I came back and Sophie had climbed onto the side of her cot and they were giving each other and kiss and a cuddle goodnight, after that the both finished it off with a very nice "I yuv you". - ahhhhhhhhhh.

Cheers

I was running late to pick up DP yesterday and as you know, you quite often do the mumble about other slow drivers on the road.

Anyway I came to yet another roundabout and the girls at the top of their lungs were shouting MUMMY GO GO GO...

I had to slow down cause I was just laughing so hard, another pair of back seat drivers!

Two very cute faces waking up from a sleep with the worlds biggest smiles, just so happy to see you! I love going to get them out of bed!
We wrap Hayden and Brooklen as it helps to settle them and now in the morning after the lovely smiles we un-do the wraps and perfectly in time we have the "staying alive" dance in stretchin moves LMAO, its hilarious and the farting & grunting is precious!!!

* Two cute little faces looking at you when you go to get them out of bed -ditto Haylie!

* Lachlan sucking Corey's face when we lie them next to each other after unwrapping them to wake for a feed.

* Opening Corey's jumpsuit to find his little knees up to his hips, froglike in the womb, and the feet and legs of his suit dangling. Only in the last week has he stretched his legs out into his suit - my little boy is growing up!!!!

ditto to what most of you have said... It's easy to find lots of things to put in the negative basket but the cute moments truly are priceless.

My girls are a little over 2 now and finally I am starting to enjoy them a bit more. They are such good friends and always ready to give each other a kiss or pat on the back. They love swapping over their meals when they are halfway through(dont know why) They were trying to wash each other in the bath tonight.

Probably my fave moment of the week is a new saying. I look after the girls by myself no family around to help out so am always quick to pass them off when Daddy comes home. He pops them in the bath while I cook dinner and clean up etc etc(it's amazing how much you get done when they are not around!) Anyhow Nathan walked in the door and straight away the girls were off and running to the door both chanting "Annoy daddy, annoy daddy" I couldn't have put it better myself....

They have truly been so enjoyable lately that we have finally made the decision NOT to have anymore children. We are lucky to have our little cherubs/monkeys/devils...
