My husband & I took our twin boys and our 5 year old son to the park on Monday. As we were walking into the park there were a big group of people (adults mind you) and one of them said 'Oh look its clones'.

I thought my husband had heard as well and he didnt seem bothered so I let it go.

On the way home I said how rude it was what was said about the boys. Hubby hadnt heard and was very angry and wanted to know why I didnt say something.

Its been bothering me now that Im thinking about it, and I wish I had of said something (but what ?? I dont really know).
Some people can just be so rude and hurtful with their comments and dont think before they talk.

I would have been tempted to reply "oh look - idiots" - but then I'm having a bad week!!

Ohhhh dont it make you mad... I'm sure your D.H would have passed a remark back to them "if" he had heard them & Sorry you had to hear such a rude comment.

My boys are only 6 wks old and man iv'e had it with people saying oooohhh double trouble, are they identical etc...etc...
Mind you i was at the Dr's on Saturday and these two ladies walked in (middle aged) and one said Oh My God a double blessing. I had to thank her for her comment and told her how she is the first person to say something nice about having twins.
Mind you i do get ladies even teenagers saying ooohhh i would love twins.. ..Teenagers for petes sake... They don't know what they would be in for *LOL*

Where do people (strangers) get off making such nasty/rude comments about other peoples babies/children? (My vent for the day) *LOL*

Whenever I get comments from teenagers telling me they would love to have twins I always tell them they are welcome to babysit. You know not one of them has taken me up on the offer LOL!!

hi, I have twin girls - 15wks and yes people are always saying double trouble. They are my first so I don't know any different, but listening to others with just one child I believe that they aren't double trouble, double anything for that matter. I think we're doubly blessed and I'm not religious at all!!!

I usually tell people - don't think of them as twins (or clones for that matter!) they're sisters!
